Life’s Reflections Ulonda Crivetta Batts-Hollowell was the oldest daughter of two

girls born to Osie and Sandra Batts. She accepted Christ at an early age at New Hope Baptist Church and later joined Beulah Baptist Church.

To My Love “The Day I Met You” I have found the one whom my soul loves. You complete me and make me a better person. I was a little late to be your first but I want all of my last to be with you. There is no pretending, I love you and I will love you until I die and if there is life after that, I’ll love you then. I love you forever and always, your husband..Willie

She graduated from Melrose High School in 1988, where she sang in the choir and was a Flag girl. Even though Ulonda did not have children, she loved them. She regularly donated to St.Jude because of her love for children. She worked as a daycare teacher for several years and later decided to make a career at Laidlaw Transportation, where she transported disabled children to school. She taught herself sign language so she could communicate with them better. She was the Treasurer for the Women’s Teamsters Union. She also sang in the Laidlaw Gospel Choir. She loved songs of praise. While working there, she met her future husband, Willie. They united in marriage on June 22, 2003. Her special talent was handcrafting jewelry. She was an entrepreneur making her own designs. She was the owner of Earrings and Things by U.U. She appeared on Channel 24 News showcasing her jewelry. She was also asked to teach a jewelry-making class at Hobby Lobby. Ulonda was a member of The Order of Eastern Star and also the Sisterhood of Beulah. To cherish her memory, she leaves her parents, Osie and Sandra Batts, her husband, Willie Hollowell, III, her sister, Osie-Lynn Batts Jones (LaRon), her nieces, Destiny Batts Daniels (Darren) and Lauryn Jones, two special aunts, Ossie Mae Smith and Ann Arbuckle, a Godson, along with a host of other family members and friends.

“Our Dear Daughter” No place is more secure, than to be in God’s hands. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. So loved, so missed, so very dear. Losing a loved one is never easy. May the blackbird of happiness always reside in you. Love, Moma and Daddy
