Vernon Stevenson was called home by his Lord and Savior on June 12, 2024. He was born in Memphis, TN on July 9, 1968, the youngest child of Violet and John Henry Stevenson who preceded him in death.
Vernon attended Fairley High School where he developed a passion for HVAC. He often carried his HVAC books and prompted conversations with you about airconditioning. He later went on to receive a certificate in HVAC from both Moore Tech and Jesus People Church where he was a model student.
We shared very fun memories of our brother. He was a kind soul that would lend a helping hand when asked. As a kid there were times, he was very particular about who did certain things for him such as only taking water from his sister Jackie. One Christmas Vernon got a unicycle. We never thought he would learn to ride it, but he did, and did so quite well.
He departed life too soon but will never be forgotten. He leaves to cherish his memories his sisters, Dorothy (Levell), Katherine, Donnie, Jacqueline (Jerome) and brother Andre, a host of nieces and nephews, great-nephews Eric Jr., Braylon, Matthew, great-niece Eriyanna, and a host of cousins and friends.
