Life’s Reflections
Wendell Thomas Mayo-Anderson was born on January 9, 1957, to the late Rozelle Anderson and Sam Ever Mayo-Christopher. Wendell accepted Christ at an early age at Gray’s Creek Baptist Church. He attended Fields Elementary School and was the first African American to attend Oakland Elementary School in Oakland, Tennesse. Wendell later graduated from Fayette Ware High School and, after graduation, joined the United States Marines and completed his service with an Honorable Discharge. Wendell was a budding entrepreneur opening Bubba’s BBQ; he also had desires to serve his community in Running for Mayor of his community. Mr. Mayo was in law enforcement.
In Wendell’s passing, he leaves a faithful and loving wife, Karol Faye Mayo, of forty-four years. He is survived by a loving daughter, Adrienne Katrice Mayo (Elma Mayo-Jones), Two Sons, Steven R. Wilder, and Tamar Mayo, and A brother-in-love Cory Rooks. He also leaves his mother, Sam Ever Christopher, Stepfather, Raymond Christopher, and Four Sisters (Audrey, Rozzie, Daphne, and Dionne). Three Brothers (Jeffrey, Jaimie, and Al). Along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and his cousin/brother Michael Rayner.
Wendell passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.

I am grateful that i had the opportunity to spend time with you these past few weeks. It was hard to watch you slip away, but I am at peace that you are no longer suffering. Love you always.
