Missing You Pop

They say there is a reason They say time will heal But neither time nor reason will change the way we feel For no one knows the heartache that lies behind our smile. No one knows how many times we have broken down and cried. We want to tell you something, so there won’t be any doubt; You’re so wonderful to think of but so hard to be without. We cannot bring the days back, when we were all together, the family chain is broken now, but memories live forever. Love You Pop! Derrick and Natalie

inston Cooper, Sr., the fifth child of seven and the son of the late Henry Ceaser Cooper and Priscilla Cooper, was born on November 17, 1950, in Memphis, Tennessee. Winston attended and graduated from Whitestation High School. He then went to work for Universal Warehouse and later retired from Technicolor. Winston accepted Christ at an early age and continued his spiritual growth and service throughout his life. He was a member of Robinhood Lane Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. Winston lived and loved Orange Mound Community, and he loved helping others by cutting their grass, painting, and repairing their homes. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Cynthia D. Cooper, and his two sons, Henry Cooper, Jr. and Charlie Cooper. Winston leaves to cherish and honor his memory: four children, Derrick Jones (Natalie), Tracy Cooper (Eric), Winston Cooper, Jr., and Deonte Cooper, one sister, Clara E. Tipton, three brothers, James Cooper (Nancy), Eric Cooper, and Travis Cooper, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and countless friends who were blessed to know him.

My Pop Pop, I wish we could sit and talk once agaib like we used to. I miss you so much, the loss of you is so painful. Pop, I will miss our talk we have every morning on the way to work. The ride will not be the same without hearing your voice. Pop, you taught me a meaning of a dollar. You were a hardworker, you love to paint, cut yards and repairing anything needed to be fixed. Pop, even if you wasn’t feeling your best you still manage to still work sick and all.
