Sheltered beneath a high-domed roof, the market’s splendidly exuberant fountain is always surrounded with a stunning array of over-flowing flower stalls whose fragrance floats on the air. Adding to this riot of colour are the fruit and vegetable stalls, brimming with local and imported produce. Around the perimeter you will find meat and dairy produce, wines and chocolate, spices and cakes - as well as other unusual goods - all combining to create a unique shopping experience. You can buy exotic ingredients, freshly grown herbs, a pot of Jersey honey, or a bulb of the exotic Amaryllis Belladonna, brought from its native South Africa to Jersey where it flourishes as the ‘Jersey’ lily.
