The Headteacher’s Award for all round Contribution, Service, Leadership and Performance recognises those JESS students who have the aptitude to combine and excel in the co-curricular disciplines of Drama, Music, and Sport. Awardees will possess the talents and qualities necessary to make a significant and ongoing contribution to life outside of the classroom at JESS.
Carlota Fernandez Garriga
Tanisha Siddique
The winners of the following Awards are announced on the day
Donated by Collette Doughty, a founding Assistant Head, this is awarded to a scientist in Key Stage 4 who excels in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics and does so with enthusiasm and intelligence. This student is willing to take on new ideas and challenge themselves to go deeper into the subject to better their understanding. A true scientist in every sense of the word, fascinated, intrigued, and passionate about the world of science.
Dr Michael Biggs, our founding Headteacher, was a practising artist and lover of the Arts. Before he left, he was eager to donate an award to a student each year for their exceptional talents in the visual arts.
Awarded to a Key Stage 3 or 4 student for their positive contribution to the school throughout their time whilst sustaining superb academic progress.
Awarded to a student from Key Stage 5 who has voluntarily given his or her time to enhance school life through their proactive involvement in school events and support of charity activities. This student is a true JESS ambassador.
Awarded to a Key Stage 3 or 4 student who consistently demonstrates care and consideration for their peers, is outward-looking and shows genuine respect and tolerance for all.
