Shipping-container Vertical Farms Recycled shipping containers are an increasingly popular option for housing vertical farming systems. The shipping containers serve as standardized, modular chambers for growing a variety of plants, and are often equipped with LED lighting, vertically stacked hydroponics, smart climate controls, and monitoring systems. Moreover, by stacking the shipping containers, farms can save space even further and achieve higher yield per square foot. Currently, there are many commercial shipping-container vertical-farming units on the market, such as the “Greenery” from Freight Farms and the “TerraFarm” from Local Roots. Hydroponics is a type of Horticulture and a subset of hydroculture, which is a method of growing plants, usually crops, without soil, by using mineral nutrient solutions in an aqueous solvent. Terrestrial plants may be grown with only their roots exposed to the nutritious liquid, or, in addition, the roots may be physically supported by an inert medium such as perlite, gravel, or other substrates. Despite inert media, roots can cause changes of the rhizosphere pH and root exudates can affect the rhizosphere biology. The nutrients used in hydroponic systems can come from many of different sources, including (but not limited to) fish excrement, duck manure Plants commonly grown hydroponically, on inert media, include tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, lettuces, marijuana, and model plants like Arabidopsis thaliana.

Environmental Conservation
Agricultural Efficiency Traditional farming's arable land requirements are too large and invasive to remain sustainable for future generations. With the ever-so-rapid population growth rates, it is expected that arable land per person will drop about 66% in 2050 in comparison to 1970. Vertical farming allows for, in some cases, over ten times the crop yield per acre than traditional methods. Unlike traditional farming in non-tropical areas, indoor farming can produce crops year-round. All-season farming multiplies the productivity of the farmed surface by a factor of 4 to 6 depending on the crop. With crops such as strawberries, the factor may be as high as 30. Vertical farming also allows for the production of a larger variety of harvestable crops because of its usage of isolated crop sectors. As opposed to a traditional farm where one type of crop is harvested per season, vertical farms allow for a multitude of different crops to be grown and harvested at once due to their individual land plots.
Resistance to Weather Crops grown in traditional outdoor farming depend on supportive weather and suffer from undesirable temperatures rain, monsoon, hailstorm, tornado, flooding, wildfires, and drought. The vegetables can grow any time around the year and there is nothing to worry about weather as the temperature could be set accordingly with a system that is monitoring the plants.
Environmental Conservation Up to 20 units of outdoor farmland per unit of vertical farming could return to its natural state, due to vertical farming's increased productivity. Vertical farming would reduce the amount of farmland, thus saving many natural resources. Deforestation and desertification caused by agricultural encroachment on natural biomes could be avoided. Producing food indoors reduces or eliminates conventional plowing, planting, and harvesting by farm machinery, protecting soil, and reducing emissions. Traditional farming is often invasive to the native flora and fauna because it requires such a large area of arable land. One study showed that wood mouse populations dropped from 25 per hectare to 5 per hectare after harvest, estimating 10 animals killed per hectare each year with conventional farming. In comparison, vertical farming would cause nominal harm to wildlife because of its limited space usage.
How to grow it organically?
-WE CAN GET THIS FROM SOME VILLAGES NEAR THE BEACH AND IT CAN HELP THEM TO EARN SOME EXTRA INCOME
Coco Coir is made from the coconut husk. What was once considered a waste and a byproduct of the coconut industry is now a major staple of growers all around the world. Coco coir is sought after by most growers for its excellent water holding capacity as well as an amazing ability to transfer nutrients to the plant. In addition, coco coir is organic. Coco coir is minimally processed, which leaves the internal structure of the coir intact and retains its organic nature.
SELLING SEEDLINGS
Encourage others to grow their own vegetables as can be convenient and save cost. Sell all kinds of seeds so that people can purchase and D.I.Y at home their own garden so that they don't need to worry about buying vegetables from grocery markets or even worry if the vegetables have pesticides.

WHAT CAN I DO? WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF LAND , THE VILLAGERS ARE IN TROUBLE WHICH LEADS TO THE RATE OF POVERTY INCREASE TOO DURING THIS PANDEMIC.
TITLE:
HealthyDeck (SPECIALITY GROCERY OR MEAT TRUCK)
INTRODUCTION: Vegetables & fruits (V&F) always known to have lots of benefits for our health. During this pandemic, everyone wants to stay healthy & fit, so most of the people are showing interest in buying organic products. PROBLEM: Poverty in Malaysia has been increasing and it has affected many people especially farmers from small villages that aren't earning much. Besides that, population grow and many farmlands had been removed to build buildings. SOLUTION: An indoor vertical farming in shipping container will be introduced to solve the problems by providing a stable job for farmers, save land for farming and providing clean & fresh organic vegetables. PROPOSAL: HealthyDeck will be an indoor vertical farm. There will be a main lab where most of the vegetables will be planted in a shipping container and in a smaller shipping container on a truck to go around housing areas. COLLABORATION: We will collaborate with the villagers from Tanjung Dawai by getting coconut husk from them and offering job opportunities. This collaboration will help them to earn some extra income. ACTIVITIES: This moving vegetable farm truck will sell cheap V&F so that it is affordable for low-income people. Seeds will also be sold to encourage people to plant their own vegetables to practice social distancing.
Vegetables and fruits has always known to provide lots of benefits for our health. During this pandemic, everyone wants to stay healthy and fit, so most of the people are showing interest in buying healthier food or organic products. So, HealthyDeck is a perfect place for everyone to buy their grocer as HealthyDeck is an indoor vertical farm which uses hydroponics to grow the vegetables. There will be a main lab where most of the vegetables will be planted (40 ft. container) and the smaller shipping container a mobile container that will be going around housing areas to sell a variety of fresh and cheap vegetables. Healthy Deck not only enable people to purchase fresh vegetables at a cheaper price but also offer job opportunities to farmers as farm lands had been removed year by year to build new buildings or skyscraper. An indoor farming will enable a stable jobs for farmers and also the main goal is to encourage everyone to eat healthy as the tagline goes A HEALTHY OUTSIDE STARTS FROM THE INSIDE
