Jewel Branding & Licensing has announced the launch of Trend Distillery, a new creative services product that offers comprehensive trend research and analysis specific to consumer product businesses.
Trend Distillery’s team of researchers and trend forecasters analyzes trends in specific product categories and packages them into easily digestible Trend Guides. These guides provide businesses with in-depth insights into emerging trends, consumer preferences and industry shifts, enabling them to make informed decisions about product development.

A Toast to Pop-Tarts’ 60th Anniversary
As the breakfast brand, Pop-Tarts, approaches its 60th anniversary in 2024, the Joester Loria Group, the licensing agent for the brand, is planning a rollout with leading apparel and beauty brands to create a range of exclusive and limited-edition merchandise that embodies the spirit of the brand.
In addition to commemorating the brand’s history, these collaborations will allow fans to express their love for Pop-Tarts in unique and creative ways. Pop-Tarts will kick off a 360° marketing campaign leveraging brand influencers and third-party partnerships that will engage millions of loyal brand enthusiasts. From rocking Pop-Tartsinspired streetwear to incorporating the scents and colors of the toaster pastries into their beauty routines, fans can celebrate their connection to the brand in their daily lives.

The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) licensing program continues to blossom around the globe. In 2023 the brand has seen significant growth, particularly in apparel and fashion accessories. NYBG partnered with LeSportsac on a new floral collection of handbags, totes and backpacks that launched worldwide this spring. New partnerships in Japan include New Era for headwear, Mash Style Labs for sleepwear and Toyoshima and Logic for apparel and accessories. In the U.S., the program also has bath and body,
fragrance, tea, home textiles, stationery, puzzles and floral subscription service. Celebrating five years of collaboration with NYBG, Tea Forte launched the Jubilee Collection, bringing together the best of past collections with a selection of jubilant commemorative tea blends.
The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation’s (FLWF) latest partnership with Kith was Made in USA New Balance 998s inspired by the work of architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, and celebrating the silhouette’s 35th anniversary. In home furnishings, FLWF partnered with Steelcase to introduce The Frank Lloyd Wright Racine Collection by Steelcase, which includes a signature reintroduction and reinterpretation of a desk, chair and accessories. The collection launched last summer.
National Wildlife Federation (NWF) is one of the world’s oldest and most- trusted wildlife conservation nonprofits focused on protecting America’s natural resources for wildlife. The licensing program has expanded into home with the launch of bedding from licensee, Britannica Home Fashions, available at Fred Meyer. A new partnership with
Justice x Airheads Unisex Spring Collection Launched
Clothing brand, Justice, has dropped an exclusive Justice x Airheads collection. The unisex spring collection, targeted at juniors, has a colorful neo-hippie style. The collection will be available only at Walmart online and in stores.
The Justice x Airheads fashion collection features candy-inspired colors and includes T-shirts, tank tops and shorts.
“In this collection, Justice has picked up so well on the fun and playful vibe of our brand, Airheads,” says Christine Cool, area licensing manager, Perfetti Van Melle. “We are thrilled about this exclusive collaboration with Walmart, allowing kids all over the U.S. to sport a fun Airheads look this summer.”
The Landmark Project, an apparel company focused on conservation and the stewardship of public land, includes a collection of NWF fashion T-shirts. Acco partnered with NWF on back-to-school and recyclable planners that will launch later this year.
‘Bluey’ Stage Show Comes to Canada
Bluey and her Blue Heeler family are coming to Canada. “Bluey’s Big Play,” a live performance based on the animated series, will take the show on the road to venues in Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton and Toronto, starting Dec. 8. Fans can expect more cities to be added.
Based on an original new story written by “Bluey” creator Joe Brumm, “Bluey’s Big Play” also contains new music by “Bluey” composer, Joff Bush. The live theater program will feature puppetry, live actors and sets from the series. ”

Jewel’s Artists Step into the Spotlight
Jewel Branding & Licensing (Jewel) will highlight key initiatives and new clients at the 2023 Licensing Expo at booth C134. Jewel has organically grown its roster into a diverse and multicultural portfolio that tells compelling stories through its art.
Following Fit & Fresh’s success with its Artist Series insulated lunch bags sold at Sam’s Club last year, the retailer repeated the program last February to highlight Black artists during Black History Month. The pallet included artists, Nikki Chu and EttaVee, both featured in the Sam’s Club mailer. The collection was supported by in-store signage, press and social media push from the artists, Sam’s Club and Fit & Fresh.
Berkshire Blanket and Home developed an Artist Series collection of throws and robes with EttaVee, Creative Ingrid and Mia Charro.
Mainstream Home introduced an Artist Series collection of kitchen textiles and table linens highlighting Oris Eddu’s brand, Breathe Live Explore, and Rongrong DeVoe and Creative Ingrid. Launched at Home Textiles Market in March, the collection will be in stores next year.
Evite partnered with female artists worldwide, including Amber Vittoria, Rongrong DeVoe, Chu, Oris Eddu, CatCoq, Hannah Beisang, Ilana Griffo, Kendra Dandy, Charro, Tania Garcia and Shannon Snow on trendforward online invitations and cards. The
artists are celebrated for key occasions, including Women’s Heritage Month and Black History Month on Evite’s social channels and newsletter that go out to more than 1 million subscribers.
In celebration of Black History Month, Target featured several artists, including wall art from Breathe Live Explore by Oris Eddu, EttaVee and Bouffants and Broken Hearts by licensee, NBG Home. The program included endcaps and table displays with signage about the artists.
Jewel has seen a significant rise in creative collaborations, where high-profile manufacturers and retailers are highlighting female artists and designers and want to tell their stories.
Chu introduced an exclusive home furnishings collection with retailer, Z Gallerie, which reflects her style, showcasing a mix of modern and global design elements. The multi-SKU line includes bedding, decorative pillows and accessories, rugs, wall décor, accent pieces and lighting and is now available at Z Gallerie stores and Zgallerie.com.
Simplified, a brand of planning and organization tools founded by Emily Ley, partnered with The Foggy Dog, a provider of stylish and functional pet products, in a collaboration to bring Simplified’s celebrated and modern designs to pet parents this spring. Simplified also introduced a new collaboration with Fit +
Fresh for a line of lunch totes available at Staples and Amazon.
EttaVee, created by artist and influencer, Jessi Raulet, partnered with Enesco to launch a new gift collection that features homeware, décor and ladies’ accessories. The new EttaVee collection includes acrylic entertaining trays, stainless steel water bottles, coasters, mugs, cooling wine bags, paper napkins, wall art, multifunctional trays, phone stands, aprons, square and curved pouches, keyrings, umbrellas, scarves and compact mirrors.
Jewel has signed several new clients that will be debuting at Licensing Expo. Tea Forte is an award-winning, innovative brand known for its luxury tea products and distinct flavors. Categories available for licensing include teaware, tabletop, food and beverage, experiential, gift and décor, spa and wellness, home fragrance and health and beauty. Amber Vittoria is an artist and poet focused on expressions of emotion and the female form. Her work has been acquired by collectors worldwide and featured in collaborations with Warby Parker, adidas, Instagram, Facebook and H&M.
Breathe Live Explore is a creative brand founded in 2019 by Nigerian artist, Oris Eddu. The brand embraces the joy of slow living through designs that stem from a place of mindfulness and active participation. Target prominently features Eddu in its Artist Series celebrating art and culture.
