IIJS 2017 Positivity Reloaded

It is that time of the year when entire industry comes together under one roof and avenges the negativity in business trends, market disturbances and goes back with positivity to face the challenges for the entire year. The event which does this successfully year after year, India International Jewellery Show or IIJS as its referred more popularly is all set to play the role of a morale booster for the trade again in 2017.

With more than 2200 stalls from 1200 + exhibitors occupying Exquisite

about 53500 sq mtrs of space, IIJS 2017 is by far the biggest in India attracting more than 35000 trade visitors from 800 cities in India apart from international visitors from more than 80 countries. The IIJS has emerged over the years as an internationally renowned trade exhibition giving retailers an opportunity to select exclusive jewellery designs crafted to perfection. It also provides an excellent window of choices to do business with a wide number of manufacturers and technology providers.

The ELITE CLUB - Hospitality at its Finest! The Elite Club comprising of large and medium retailers,

has

undergone

a

comprehensive

makeover and will now include leading buyers from tier I, II & Ill cities across India. The Elite Club will host close to 1800 companies from 198 cities in the forthcoming IIJS. The ‘Exclusive Elite Club’ will continue to offer select retailers the privileged hospitality in their exclusive lounges where one can rejuvenate, interact with guests, get refreshments and experience relaxation at its best. The Elite Club has undergone a comprehensive makeover and will now include leading buyers from tier I, II & III cities across India. It will host close to 1800 companies from 198 cities this IIJS. ALWAYS A Force to recon with IIJS 2015 In the year 2015, the IIJS witnessed approximately 25% growth in exhibitors and 11% growth in booths with 175 new exhibitors and 200 additional booths taking the strength of the show to 1100 plus exhibitors occupying over 2000 booths. It was in the same year, the show hours was extended by one hour increasing the footfalls by 10%.” With each year growing , IIJS reaches a new height. In IIJS had 1,200 exhibitors, over 2,000 booths, 50,000 sq. ft.,over 35,000 visitors from more than 800 Indian cities and towns and 80 countries around the world.

IIJS 2016 also flaunted with

unique and versatile collection, once again demonstrating the show as one of the strongest and important platform for a business opportunities.

IIJS 2016 COLLECTIONS Hari Krishna’s bracelet collection had small diamonds set in single or double bands on the top of a base of imported rubber which formed the shank of the bracelet, thus saving on the cost of precious metal. Its Heartbeat collection too was an attractive innovation, set with specialised technology the centre stone of the small pendants shimmered and shook like a beating heart, from which it has got its name. The Company’s Cris cut centre stone diamond – akin to an emerald cut – and its cluster collection gave an enhanced diamond look to different collections as well. Gold Star’s ‘The Peacock – The dancing peacock rather was at the heart of one of its prized collections. Sangam which is also one of the big players in the gold jewellery segment, known for its chains and other gold jewellery in a very large range of products.

YS18, a design led and designer brand has traditionally been best known for its graded-shaded jewellery using natural diamonds, and other collections which included sapphires, tsarvorites and emeralds in its signature shaded creations which make an exquisite play of greens and blue.A collection of natural fancy colour diamonds also uses whorls and swirls to effectively cut the density of the piece; yet allow for the gradation to come through. Rio showcased its latest collections from two leading jewellery designers of the country – Pallavi Dudeja Foley and Preeti Jain. The collections were based on a variety of themes – from floral, spirituality, heritage, love, to infinity. There was also a separate men’s collection. The Platinum Guild International also chose to focus on its key brand – Evara wedding jewellery.

Positive expectations from retailers We are positive this IIJS, as always IIJS always brings optimistic vibes to the trade. The purchase was on hold with GST making rounds and now with everything clear, jewellers will look forward for their purchases this year at the show. IIJS is very important for buying & planning our inventory for the festive season which starts from September and also for the bridal season which starts in November.
