Fall 2014 | Volume 4, Issue 2

1. Remember that all volunteers must have a flu shot during the current flu season. If you have not had your flu shot yet we will give it to you free at all locations. If you have had your flu shot elsewhere you must provide documented proof to the volunteer office. Anyone who has not gotten a flu shot by Friday, November 28, will be asked to go on volunteer hiatus until May 1, 2015.

2. Please remember to fill in your volunteer hours on your blue hours log sheet each time you visit. Remember to round your time to the nearest quarter hour and write as legibly as possible. We are still hand calculating our volunteer hours. 3. Remember: never, under any circumstances bring any food or drink from the outside for our residents. Volunteers may not know which residents have food allergies or diabetes, and all food served within our residents must be strictly kosher. 4. Dress code reminder. Please do not wear jeans from Friday afternoon until after sunset on Saturdays to respect the Jewish Sabbath.
