Past Events Division 4 North Dance: White Wonderland

Division 4 North Ice Skating Social

The Division 4 North Key Club dance/ auction was a really memorable day. A lot of planning and stress was put in. The dance was a new deal, a new place, a new DJ, a new type of dance. It was an outdoor dance at Kiwanisland. The dance was a blast because of all the hard work Inviscus Entertainment put into with the lighting, music, and being our chaperones. On December 15, everything was put together with the stage, lights and music. The doors open at 5pm. The auction began at 5:30, with a lot of ambitious students being prepared to buy all the beautiful auctionees. As soon as the auction was over, the music began. Although there were a few technical difficulties with the stage at time, everyone began to boogie down. Our goal was to make the dance a fun time and a memorable experience for others. I hoop everyone had fun because Division 4 North Leadership team worked hard to plan the dance. Stay tuned for another dance coming soon from D4N! -Christine Nguyen La Quinta High School.

During the Thanksgiving break, all of us otters got to bond out on the chilly ice. Our Ice-Skating social started pretty slow, but many otters joined in on the fun to make an exciting afternoon. It was great of doing something different than a typical day at the park. Seeing all the otters falling, skating, clinging on the walls for dear life was hilarious. It was even better to know our blunders on the ice would help for PTP and other fundraisers. I can't wait to spend more time with my otter-ly amazing division!

Fall Rally 2012 I really enjoyed going to Fall Rally this year. Our Division got off to a rough start at the beginning because we barely got our spirit packs assembled. In the end though, we pulled through and won the SPIRIT STICK!!! I couldn't believed that our division was able to do it, because we haven't won in several years. I also enjoy Fall Rally because it is a division event and it gave me an opportunity to be able to bond with members. I like Six Flags and going on roller coasters as well so that was an added bonus on top of why I love Fall Rally. I had a lot of fun cheering my heart out for the division and I am definitely looking forward to going again my senior year. It would be my last year so I have plans to make it very memorable. I love Key Club and Fall Rally is one of the perks of being a member to me. I can't wait for DCON this year too. There are a lot of exciting things going on in Key Club. –Tina Nguyen

Lincoln Education Center After weeks of signing up, I finally had a chance to attend Lincoln Education Center on December 7th, 2012. The previous year, I had regularly attended LEC because it was such a fun event to go to; I had not been able to go for the first few months of school because of other activities, or due to having a homework load. This time around, I was free and available, thus I volunteered to be PC as well. Duy, Thanh Van, Mimi, Jen K, Nancy, Khanh, and I all went to go grade papers; I spent my time grading English 2B and U.S. History (in fact, I had to grade the same content for U.S. History three times, making it a bit dull after some time). Since we had extra help as well from Kevin and Jeremy who decided to stop by, the majority of us finished early, thus a few of us ended up dancing a little to K-pop songs. Here at LEC, I learned that Duy has poor hip movements as he tried to mimic Abracadabra by the Brown Eyed Girls. In any case, LEC was a fun experience--one that I had sorely missed and hope that I can attend many more times before the school year ends.—Dominic Nguyen Bolsa Grande

Resource Fair On November 11th 2012 Rancho Alamitos High School attended the Resource Fair. This event was given to us by Jacky, for our club to help out the special ed kids as much as possible. We were given assignments and shifts in our separate booths. We were assigned a number one rule to help the special ed kids as much as possible and to have as much fun with them as possible. We were especially astonished on the big costume that was there! Tommy the bowling pin was a huge mascot worn by Alex Han and Me! It was a great experience being in a blow up costume that created much happiness and fun for us as it did for the little kids. A great 4 hours was passed on helping little kids to teenagers with playing bowling to the limbo contest, however, after lunch was over the Resource Fair closed and we said our goodbyes to the little friends we have made.– Joshua Wang Rancho Alamitos
