I started practicing ink painting and Chinese calligraphy in grade four. Before six grade, I took these activities as tasks rather than passions. However, I found my passion for them. Over time they became some of my favorite interests. I started by copying pictures to painting from life. Finally I began creating my original art works.
I really want to thank my teacher, he played a crucial role in the development journey of both hobbies. When I was younger, and did not know how to control the amount of water and ink on my brush, he never “despised” my disformed paintings. He encouraged me a lot, which helped me achieve my current level. I am deeply thankful to his guidance and encouragements
