The planning and printing process of this painting album is a bit hasty. Firstly, I would like to thank teacher Chen for his long-time direction and sincere help, by which I have achieved a success in painting. Then I would like to express my gratitude to my parents for their wholly support. Admittedly, painting is an individual hobby and task. However, without those help, I am afraid I cannot persist in pursuing my dream in painting with the heavy learning load alongside. When I was 6 years old, I did not possess the painting skills or any aesthetic sense, but I did have a strong expectation to painting at that time. I can remember when I lived in Xiamen, I urged to paint on the wall when I saw the work of the landlord’s daughter left on the wall. Unsurprisingly, the answer given by my parents was no. But this thing stimulated my passion for painting and I finally got my parents’ permission. When I transferred back to Beijing, some of my “small drawings” received the praise of my classmates, which meant a lot to me. Then I began to touch comic painting, and sketch when I was on 3rd grade. For me, painting is the most and only glamorous part in my life. Occasionally, I got in touch with sketch, and I learned to change my painting style in accordance with the preference of middle school entrance exam. Then I got into Tsing Hua Middle School by my painting talent. Thereafter, I could paint all by my wish and by my heart. It was the time when I found the charm of watercolor, which was the true attractive painting style for me, and I began to learn systematically. I have already made some work since I started to paint, and I always hold strong enthusiasm to it. I set a strict standard for myself in painting, and sometime blamed myself for my inadequacy in the beginning. Gradually, I learned that I should not put my negative mood in my creating process. Along the way, painting provides me far more than just skills and work. Thanks all the people who have given me sincere help, support and encouragement.
