RECORD SEASON LEADING TO SUMMER John’s Island Real Estate kicked off our 50th anniversary/bicentennial year with a record number of sales for the month of January. Our team placed 68 properties under contract from the first of the year through April 15, with 20 closed sales highlighting January. An additional 48 properties were closed from February through mid April, four of which were high-end residences over $4,000,000. Currently, we have 29 properties under contract with an average sale price of $2,000,000 as we splash into the summer season. With the flurry of happenings at the club, we have experienced heightened activity in real estate showings. Our team has had over 200 showings in the month of March alone - which strongly indicates that people are actively looking for their dream home or next move within the gates. Many have converted into ‘sales’, while others are still perusing. The Palm Mixed Invitational was a success, with ideal weather and golf conditions leading the weekend. Many guests attended our ‘Condominium, Townhouses and Cottages’ open house event, where it was fun to see a mix of new faces, and familiar ones. The 5th Annual JIRE 5K Rabbit Run/Walk to benefit the John’s Island Service League was a rousing triumph, with close to 275 participants enjoying the morning - a record year! With a live DJ keeping the entertainment hopping, it was another delightful day with delicious donuts from the Donut Truck, Brooklyn Bagels and complimentary oranges and juice courtesy of our own local Countryside Citrus. Not to mention the Easter Bunny received a warm welcome from kids young and old. Summertime is around the corner, so be sure to mark your calendars for the John’s Island Club’s Memorial Day Cookout and the incredible 4th of July festivities and fireworks display.
