Toddlers and Literacy: What Counts and What Works When it comes to literacy, toddlers are right in the prime time to develop the foundation for all future learning. In this course we will look at what toddlers are like, how they learn and how we make decisions about our work with them. You‘ll learn literacy concepts that really count and literacy practices that really work with toddlers. Course length: 6 hours (.6 CEUs) OCFS Topic Areas: Child Development, Child Daycare Program Development Cost: $45 JLCP Members, $50 non-members How does this course work? First, choose your start date (listed below). Prior to your start date you will receive an introductory email with your first assignment. Remaining course materials, consisting of readings and assignments, will be sent by email on the start date. You have 10 days to complete the assignments. Your JLCP instructor will provide assistance by email, phone or in person to help you successfully complete course assignments. Fall start dates: September 17, October 15 or November 12. To register please send a completed registration form (next page) with payment at least 5 days before chosen start date. Scholarship funding to participate in training may be available through the Educational Incentive Program (EIP).
