American Red Cross First Aid and CPR Training The American Red Cross provides no‐cost First Aid and CPR classes to Licensed/Registered child care pro‐ grams through a contract with the New York State Office of Children’s and Family Services. Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential Looking to earn your CDA? JLCP would like to help! Beginning June 1st, the Council for Professional Recognition will be implementing some changes to the CDA credentialing process, known as CDA 2.0. Candidates will need a minimum of 120 hours of education in 8 subject areas, 480 hours experience and will need to complete a profes‐ sional resource file. From providing the training you need to assisting you with your professional resource file, JLCP can be a resource every step of the way. Registering for JLCP Workshops Registration & Payment: To register for training, complete a registration form and submit with payment to CAPC by mail or in person at least 5 days prior to the training. CAPC is not responsible for money that is left with or handed to any person other than Administration Office Staff. Registration forms can be found at www.capcjc.org. Accepted forms of payment: cash, checks payable to CAPC, money orders, purchase orders and EIP Award Notifications. If you receive EIP scholarship for training for which you have already paid, CAPC will issue a reimbursement. You are re‐ sponsible for any difference between the award amount and the cost of the class and payment must be received 5 business days prior to class. All checks returned to CAPC for insufficient funds subject to current returned‐check fee. Post‐dated checks not accepted. Cancellations: If a class you have paid for is cancelled you will be notified and issued a training pass, equivalent to the amount you paid, to use toward another training within the next year. Training pass will be issued only if you notify JLCP before the scheduled workshop. After business hours please dial extension 239 for voicemail. Certificates and Training Records: Certificates for trainings other than SUNY Videoconferences will be given to par‐ ticipants upon completion of a training and receipt of full payment. There will be a $5 fee for replacement of lost certificates. JLCP can give you a copy of your training record that we have on file at no charge. SUNY Videoconferences: Photo ID is required. If you are registered and can not attend, please call 800‐295‐9616. Participants must arrive by 6:45 pm, stay until 9 pm and receive a passing grade on the multiple‐choice test in order to receive a certificate.
