Design/Build We prefer a design/ build approach where all members of the project team are involved early in the design process. This team approach allows us to work with homeowners and architects to gain a detailed understanding of the project parameters and ensure expectations are met. By utilizing Building Information Modeling, the project team can collaborate from the inception stage to improve productivity and logistical coordination, problem solve prior to construction, and ultimately reduce overall costs. Green Building and Sustainability Sustainability is the capacity to endure. In the building industry, this concept is something we value and achieve on a daily basis. Environmentally responsible and resource efficient processes used during a building’s life-cycle not only help sustain the planet but also the homes we live in. Green building is nothing new, but the affordability of it is. Renewable energy, high efficiency heating systems and eco-friendly products are just a few possibilities that can help improve quality of life and reduce your carbon footprint. Although some initial cost may be higher than traditional building, the payback period is often short and will save you money in the long run. We have a certified Building Performance analyst and two certified Sustainable Building Advisors on staff who can consult on the best approach to being “green� for each individual circumstance. We built the first LEED Platinum home in Washington State outside the city of Seattle.
