Sodexho Campus dining, the operational partner for dining services at Augusta State, conducted two intensive focus groups with about 36 students. The students were largely happy with the campus dining operations,; specifically, citing very high satisfaction levels with Allgood Hall SmartMarket, the limited time offer specials in the JSAC Food Court, and the overall quality and taste of all menu offerings. However, they did share some ideas to help improve the operation. The students expressed a desire for more healthy options and requested that nutritional information be posted at each dining concept. Quicker service and an interest in creating a dining environment that is more responsive to environmental concerns wasere also expressed by the group. In response to the suggestions, ASU Campus Dining has made the following changes: • While all nutritional information is currently available at: www.augustastatedining.com, additional printed sheets have been placed at each dining location. • Re-usable mugs will be available for purchase to help reduce the current Styrofoam cup use. • New brown napkins in dispensers will contain a higher recycled content and are produced without the use of chlorine. • The Georgia’s Home Style concept will include healthier menu options. • The Arsenal Grille breakfast menu has been revamped to allow for quicker service. More changes will be implemented fall semester.
