Digital Graphic Design Workshop (Tween Tech Series)

AUGUST Tech Petting Zoo With Linden Lab (Tween Tech Series)

Wednesday, August 3 between 2-3:30pm Drop by to learn about the latest in virtual reality with special guests from Linden Lab. They will share what they do as virtual entertainment developers and demo the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset. Then try out some of the library’s tech toys like an Ozobot mini-robot and the 3-D Doodle Pen. Ages 10-15.

Tuesday, June 7 at 11:45am Come join the Louisa County Library for our summer program kickoff. The Library Olympics will be held including games such as discus & javelin throw, ring toss, and more. Athlete registration begins at 11:45am and the torch lighting relay race will be at noon, followed by games and snacks. WHAT DO I READ NEXT? Have you ever finished a book that you absolutely adored, and wished that there were more? Have you had trouble finding books that live up to your expectations? Are you sick and tired of waiting for your favorite author to publish their next book? JMRL has a readers’ advisory service that you can use whenever you’re unsure which book you should read next. All you have to do is fill out the “What Do I Read Next?” form at: bit.ly/jmrlreading. The form will ask you to list three of your favorite authors or books, which genres you are interested in, and what type of content you’d like to avoid. JMRL librarians will get back to you with personalized book suggections within three days. Tuesday, June 14 at 6-8:30pm Honey and vinegar infused with medicinal herbs is a wonderful way to bring nourishment and healing into your every day.
