Leslie Jordan rises to the occasion and perform in Tucson. By Deon Brown
F
rom mixed-up Brother Boy from Sordid Lives, to Karen Walker’s closeted nemesis, Beverly Leslie, from Will and Grace, Leslie Jordan is a born storyteller. He paused while walking his dog, Beauregard, to spin a few yarns for ION Arizona. ION: You came from a deeply religious background? Does God talk to you? Leslie Jordan: I met Carrie Fisher in one of my myriad periods of recovery. She said, “I’m a very enthusiastic agnostic. I would love nothing more than proven wrong. As it stands, if He is up there, He’s got some ‘splainin’ to do.” Nobody knows! Oprah doesn’t know! Joel O’Steen doesn’t know! The Pope doesn’t know! You don’t know! I don’t know! I don’t think so, but I try to keep an open heart. ION: You conquered alcohol and drug abuse. Any new demons? LJ: It’s like that carnival game where the clown pops up; you club him but he keeps poppin’ up. My current addiction is babysitter porn! I like older Bears, and here’s all these real butch, good lookin’, older men screwin’ the babysitter! Moderation in everything is so difficult for me. With me it doesn’t matter if it’s a hangnail or the Holocaust—it’s all the same. ION: What is your advice for young LGBT people coming out today? LJ: They have so much more at their
disposal than I did. I felt so isolated and like the only queer on the planet. I’d see the only other queer in town at the Greyhound bus station peekin’ up from under the stalls in the bathroom—and he was real ugly. We were the only two in the whole world! I didn’t even know what it was! People would say, “He’s a pussy” or “a sissy” and I thought, “That’s me!” A big source of my shame is that until I got sober at 42-yearsold, I never voted. In my generation we marched in the streets and carried on—and that’s all good to bring attention to your cause—but change has to come from within. Gay people need to get outta the bars just long enough to go vote! Get off the Grindr and vote ... then you can get back on.
ION: What would surprise people about you? LJ: As gregarious and outgoing as I am, I’m such a recluse. I won an Emmy in 2006. I thought, “I’m gonna let all this TV work come to me—and it didn’t! Honey, I got down to 14 cents! I called my manager and said, ‘I can’t eat this Emmy!’ so we called a marketing firm. I didn’t know what the Kardashians do. I didn’t know about ‘branding.’ I just told ‘em ‘I’m hungry! You need to sell me to the gay community! I’ll do parades! I’ll go to Tucson! I’ll do whatever needs to be done!” I made this rule three years ago: at six o’clock the curtain goes down. I haven’t been out at night without a paycheck in three years! I’m 62-years-
old and I’ve accomplished absolutely everything I’ve set out to do. I haven’t seen a movie since Brokeback Mountain. My friends all say, “She won’t come out without a paycheck.” Years ago I planned it out: I wanted a house in the Hollywood Hills; I wanted to be the gay Hugh Hefner with seven blonde boys gigglin’ and runnin’ around, livin’ with me and livin’ off of me. I wanted to have brunches, drink cocktails and smoke cigarettes. That is so not me! If I had seven boys here I’d shoot ‘em. ION: Is there a Mr. Jordan? LJ: That’s the one thing I can’t talk about! I get in trouble every time! But I’m doin’ real good in that area. Real good. Tomorrow I’m flyin’ to Romania to film Sharknado 7. Last time I was in Bucharest and I fell in love with a gypsy who stole my passport ... Oooh! Guess who I’m lookin’ at right now? Margot Robbie! I’mma go over and talk to her! I gotta go! See you Tucson!
“That’s a lot of detail, LaVonda.” Leslie Jordan reveals all in “EXPOSED!” benefiting Tucson’s Reveille Men’s Chorus on March 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fox Theatre, 17 W. Congress St. For tickets call 520-547-3040 or go to FoxTucson.com 28

In April of 2017, Club Volt opened it’s doors and it’s signature show “4Some Revue” produced by Andrew Dubry starring Piper M’Shay, Miley Mitchells, Gia DeMilo, and Luna Love St. James has been tearing it up Friday nights. ION: So it’s been a year. Can you tell me a bit about how the show came together? Piper: A crazy year. Andrew posed the idea to us four around summer of 2016. We just kinda ran with it and by early 2017 the idea came to life when Volt

was opened. Andrew: It’s so crazy to think it’s been a year since we started this dream! When I moved back to my home state of Arizona in spring of 2016 I met these amazing 4 entertainers and being a huge supporter and fan of drag I immediately went to any show they were in. I thought, “Why don’t these girls have their own show?” Miley: Luna, Piper, Gia, Andrew and myself were all hanging out at DragCon in LA, Andrew had mentioned the idea. We got all excited, but felt cautious because we didn’t know Andrew that well and didn’t know if he meant it. Well, he meant it! We were all good friends before the show and I truly think the show has brought us even closer. ION: What’s your craziest/most fun show story? Piper: In general we have the most fun when the audience has fun. It forces all of us to bring up our energy to match it and make it an amazing show from start to finish. Any theme night tends to be a hit. People enjoy the themes and coming up with outfits that work for it. ION: Who’s the funniest in the group? Piper: Gia is the funniest. She is the queen of one liners, and I say that every week during our overture. Miley: She will have you dying laughing the whole time during the show. If it’s the way she is describing something, talking on the mic during her game or seriously just talking in general. I know my stomach is gonna be hurting after a show on a Friday night! Andrew: To see her transformation from when we started to now is crazy she was so quiet back then. Gia: I do enjoy a good giggle from Piper from time to time. ION: Luna, do you want to chime in? Luna: Sorry they don’t let me on the mic on Fridays so wasn’t sure if I could
answer. Gia’s boxed lingerie “costumes” and Miley’s nose contour always make me giggle. ION: Who’s most likely to “borrow” outfits from the other three? Piper: Miley is most likely to borrow outfits. She borrows something from at least one of us all the time. Typically my thigh high boots...it’s true, sis. Andrew: At the photo shoot for this feature, I went to compliment her hoodie and realized it was mine! [laughs] We are all such a family from all the entertainers in all of our shows to all of our bar staff! Gia: Miley will take your entire closet. Bobby pins and all. Luna: Fortunately no one can borrow/fit into my costumes. Hair spray, perfume, nail glue and heels are always shared between us. Just make sure to put the cap back on my nail glue though because I’ll yell at you. ION: You’ve had so many guests come through Club Volt- both local favorites and television stars. Who’s been your favorite and why? Gia: We definitely all get crazy every time we’re with a Ru Girl, we run around like chickens with our heads chopped off. (laughs) Piper: My favorite guest was Sasha Velour after she won season 9. She performed to a packed house which was pure insanity. She was so positive, humble, and kind to all of us girls. She made our job so easy and the night was incomparable. Miley: All four of us were so nervous because she had just won. She was the sweetest, nicest and most down to earth person With it being our busiest show we ever had we had a lot of emotions, stress & anxiety the whole night. Things were said and things happened, but it was one of the greatest nights ever. Fun fact: I DO fit in a suitcase. March 2018 WWW.IONAZ.COM 37
Luna: The Sasha event was pretty memorable! Our New Years celebration with Sonique Love from season 2 probably had to take the cake, though. The fact that people chose to spend that special holiday with us all night was truly touching. After the bar closed, the staff and our regulars just hung out and cuddled on the couch, ate some late night Mexican food and watched a movie. We truly are a huge dysfunctional family. I may have cried a couple times that night from all the love we’re shown week after week. 38

Andrew: The 4Some Revue was what launched VOLT but we have hosted a slew of national and local talent and have the amazing additional shows hosted by Naomi St James on Saturdays, the VOLT VIXXXENS, and every Sunday night she brings you FLESH, a sexy strip show with the sexy studs from Wild Men of the West. Join the Club VOLT Anniversary Party March 31st 9pm, and the 4Some anniversary show April 6th at 10pm. Check the ION calendar for all of Club Volt’s Weekly shows.

Happy Wanderer Mikah Meyer explores every National Park in America as a Queer for Christ
by Deon Brown
M
ikah Meyer is an openly gay adventurer. He’s been featured by NPR, Huffington Post and Upworthy. As a “Preacher’s Kid” growing up in Nebraska, he was in the closet. “I thought all gay people were drag queens or wore Speedos on floats in parades. ‘Gay’ was a taboo topic.” After coming out, he decided to break every stereotype—including gays not liking the outdoors—and discuss his Christianity as a gay man every Sunday in a different church. After his father died, Mikah said, “When I turned 30, I decided to do something crazy: to take a three year road trip, visiting all 417 National Parks as the youngest person ever to do it in one continuous trip. I started at the Washington Monument in April 2016, with plans on ending at the Lincoln Memorial on April 29, 2019, the 14th anniversary of my father’s passing, exactly three years after I started.” Traveling and living in a van, he brings his Pride flag to every park. He has over 47,000 followers on Instagram. A classically trained counter tenor (think male soprano) Mikah “sings for his supper” in churches across America, speaking about his adventures as a gay Christian. ION: What’s one lesson you’d pass on to LGBT adventurers?
for the world to marginalize us. When we’re proud of who we are—and that includes being proud when we aren’t in “safe” LGBT neighborhoods, cities, or environments—it will transform the world until being LGBT is as boring as being straight. ION: What did you think of Arizona’s National Parks? MM: Rafting the Grand Canyon was at the top of my National Parks To-Do list, but it’s about $3,000—beyond my tight budget. Fortunately, Flagstaff’s Grand Canyon Whitewater found my story and made it possible. The isolation of the Canyon’s river allows for people to truly disconnect and focus on the family, friends and nature around them. In our world filled with so much noise, that’s something unique. Some of my other favorite Arizona sites are the Chiricahua National Monument, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, and Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument. ION: What is the greatest lesson you’ve learned from this trip? MM: As a gay man, I learned not to let preconceived notions stop you. Get out there and do you, even if the world tells you you can’t!
MM: Be unabashedly yourself. When we hide—either our personalities or in closets—it’s easier

As a Christian, I’ve learned to keep the faith. I get a lot of nasty emails from people, telling me I can’t be who I am, that I’m mentally insane, or that I’m disgusting. I thank the supportive voices, those who have donated to my project so I can continue doing this work, let me speak about LGBT inclusion at their church, and the positive messages coming through Instagram or Facebook, because they’ve reminded me to “keep my hand on the plow,” to borrow a line from one of my favorite spirituals. ION: What happens after your journey is over? MM: Beyond the immediate decompressing, I really want to have my own travel show (Netflix, are you reading?). I’d like to put this journey’s pictures and stories into a photo book and memoir. I’d love to share the lessons gleaned from this project as a guest speaker, particularly for college students. I want to help others know it’s okay to look outside the box.
fund the next project, driving around the coast lines of Australia and New Zealand is the glimmer in my eye. I’m accepting applications for a travel buddy if any attractive gents want to apply.
“There is a church and God who loves you as you are. Everyone we interact with is a Child of God.” Mikah sings and speaks an LGBTinclusive message for Easter services April 1 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Foothills Christian Church, 3951 W. Happy Valley Rd., Glendale. “Travel Beyond Convention” at TBCMikah.com and follow him on Facebook and Instagram at MikahMey. Sebastian Screens at Film Bar with special guest writer, director, and star-Phoenician James Fanizza, In this urban, gay love story, sexy Argentinian hunk Sebastian (Alex House) arrives in Toronto for a one week visit and meets his cousin’s boyfriend, Alex (writerdirector, James Fanizza). Instant attraction leads Alex to question his rocky relationship with his boyfriend. As he and Sebastian explore their forbidden passion, they connect on a deeply emotional level. Alex must confront his conflicted feelings for his boyfriend and Sebastian, as well as some surprising, long buried secrets from his past. Sebastian is a unique, modern story— exploring the search for love in an age of instant gratification, online hookups, and the yearning for connection in an age of convenience and superficiality. It paints a nuanced portrait of 20-something queerness; that perpetual feeling of having what you want at the tip of your fingers, but not being sure if you really want to grab it. This intimate feature debut from filmmakeractor James Fanizza features Brian “Katya” McCook from The Trixie and Katya Show & RuPaul’s Drag Race, Alex House, and acclaimed Mexican/South African actresssinger Amanda Martinez. James will be attending the screening at FilmBar! on Wednesday, March 28th. Visit TheFilmBarPHX.com for tickets. March 2018 WWW.IONAZ.COM 61

Nick of Time Mrs. Which (Winfrey. Yes, that Oprah) who teach, “Have faith in who you are.”
A Wrinkle In Time Starring: Storm Reid, Chris Pine, Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon It’s about time that beloved YA author Madeleine L’Engle’s (19182007) beloved 1962 sci-fi novel was transported into the movies. Who didn’t read it in middle school? The classic Newbery awardwinning tome has been translated into 35 languages. Disney said, “Bibbidy, bobbidy, boo” and brings it to the big screen. Meg Murry (Reid, 12 Years a Slave), her little brother, Charles, and their friend Calvin travel through space and cross dimensions to find Meg and Charles’ father, Alex Murry (Pine, Star Trek Beyond), an astrophysicist who can wrinkle time and travel through space. He’s been missing for five years, held captive in a distant planet that possesses all the evil of the universe. The kids are accompanied by astral traveling witches known as Mrs. Whatsit (Witherspoon, Legally Blonde), Mrs. Who (Kaling, The Mindy Project), and

Love, Simon Starring: Nick Robinson, Jennifer Garner, Josh Duhamel I think it’s safe to say we all fell in love with Nick Robinson back when he was the dreamy teen, “Tyler,” embarrassed by his doofy dad in a series of Cox Communications’ commercials called, “Buffering Time is Bonding Time.” I know I did. He went on to star in Jurassic World and the weepy, mediocre Everything Everything. Now 22-years old, Robinson is still capable of pulling off the awkward teenager in love in this delightful coming-of-age rom-com. Here’s the problem: 17-year-old Simon is in the closet. He’s juggling family and friends, plus Blue, an anonymous classmate he’s fallen for online when blackmail looms. This picture promises to resurrect all those feelings of being in love for the first time ... no matter who you are. Because everyone deserves a great love story. Opens March 16

Black Panther The Album
Movie soundtracks are often a jumbled up playlist stringing scenes together. Black Panther The Album, curated largely by 11 time Grammy winning artist Kendrick Lamar, is an epic collection of music able to stand independently. In the film, T’Challa a.k.a Black Panther is tasked to bring his technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda out of the shadows. Lamar was tasked to bring rap to Wakanda. He opens the album, rapping over drum beats and transitioning into the radio friendly “All The Stars,” featuring rising star SZA. We hear Lamar again on “King’s Dead,” “Big Shot” and the very Starboy-esque “Pray For Me” with The Weeknd. Rapper Yugen Blakrok and Vince Staples steal the show with “Opps,” a club ready banger that could easily play in underground bars; it’s a voguers delight. Lamar succeeds in creating the first ever hip-hop soundtrack of the Marvel canon, tying in crossovers and sub-genres. If you don’t see the film, at least give the album a deserved listen. Fischerspooner
SIR
After his break up, Casey Spooner—one half of the electroclash performance art duo Fischerspooner— went on a journey of the mind and body with a stream of
lovers in what he described as “not Eat, Pray, Love but Lift, Tan, F*ck...” During sex with a guy in Madrid, he recorded the moans; they are now featured on the album. Spooner’s soul searching became something Fischerspooner’s other half, Warren Fisher, and he could delve into, creating their most ambitious and challenging project yet: a multimedia work with a museum exhibition, an art book, and their first collection of new music in nearly a decade. Producer BOOTS amps up the hedonistic single “Have Fun Tonight” while “TopBrazil” is an audio and visual romp—watch the video. “Togetherness” featuring Caroline Polachek is an experimental and electronic palette cleanser amidst all the sweat. Four years in the making, Spooner’s personal life has taken on an almost political stance with its unabashed queerness. We need this album now more than ever. Available Now El Perro Del Mar

T
he animated feature films nominated for an Oscar this year have a global feel. Travel around the world to Mexico (Coco), Spain (Ferdinand), Afghanistan (The Breadwinner), the Netherlands (Loving Vincent) and back to the USA (Boss Baby) for a visual smorgasbord. These two nominees are now available for your viewing pleasure. Watch the Oscars on March 4, on ABC for the winner!
Coco
increasingly trademark twist to the story. In our multicultural society this picture is an important departure from most features in these animated film giants’ libraries. Why? Because, just like Uncle Walt taught us years ago, “It’s a small world after all.” Available now on DVD, Blu-ray, Amazon Video, Redbox and iTunes. Netflix by mail: March 27; streaming: June.
Ferdinand (2017)
Voice stars: John Cena, Kate McKinnon, Peyton Manning, Gabriel Iglesias
(2017)
Voice stars: Anthony Gonzalez, Benjamin Bratt, Gael Garcia Bernal In a particularly well-timed bit of genius, DisneyPixar’s Coco premiered while divisive talk about a dividing wall is in the national spotlight. Young Miguel (Gonzalez), an aspiring musician, idolizes his Mexican village’s favorite son: the late, singing caballero, Ernesto de la Cruz (Bratt, Law and Order). Through a fantastical spell, Miguel lands in the Land of the Dead, resembling an Oz-like, Technicolor Sábado Gigante, but in a bizzaro, Univision underworld. Miguel’s long-gone ancestors plus the shambling Hector (Bernal, Y Tu Mama También), de la Cruz’s forgotten sidekick, guide him back to the Land of the Living, but not before he learns an important lesson leaving most viewers with a tear in their eye.
The Story of Ferdinand, a children’s book by Munro Leaf, outsold monster bestseller Gone with the Wind in 1936. Translated into 60 languages, it’s never been out of print. Critics said it promoted fascism, communism, anarchism and pacifism. Spanish dictator Francisco Franco had it banned in Spain. Adolf Hitler ordered it burned as “degenerate democratic propoganda.” Now the creators of Ice Age and Rio bring you an enriched, comical tale about the gentle bull (Cena, ) who’d rather smell flowers under the cork tree than fight. Over 80 years later and with a few embellishments the moral can’t be tampered with: be true to yourself. FerdinandMovie.com Release date: Amazon Video, i Tunes: now, DVD, Blu-ray, Amazon, March 13, Redbox, Netflix by mail: March 20; streaming: June.

Chambers Chow We were lookin’ for a bit of the Old Country where lads and lassies could celebrate St. Paddy’s Day this year. We didn’t quite find our pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and that’s no Blarney. Chambers on First stands where The Turf Irish Pub was until fall of 2015. Owned by the good folks at downtown’s popular Irish pub Seamus McCaffrey’s, we had high hopes. The menu now is American-ish—which is fine-ish. The interior is dark and cozy. But alas! Few four-leaf clovers were to be found on the menu despite the Celtic crosses and shamrocks painted on the diner’s façade. Gone is the Shepherd’s Pie, and they were out of Fish & Chips—on a Friday during Lent! The Pretzel Sliders offering three cheeseburgers with a “pinch of fries” were a hit. The beef of baby burgers’ beef was rich and juicy, nested between fresh pretzel buns. $11
with a sweet soy glaze for $13. The tender tuna was a win, but the rest of the salad was lackluster. The Baja Chicken Wrap was stuffed grilled marinated chicken with baja rice (Whatever that is. We can’t find a recipe for it.) lettuce, tomato, black beans and shredded cheddar cheese wrapped in white flour or chipotle tortilla. It’ll fill you up for $12
The Bruschetta, balsamic marinated tomatoes and goat cheese was fantastic, but the bread was a bore; instead of a traditional, toasted artisan ciabatta, they choose to use a soft French roll. Why? $12 The Seared Rare Ahi Tuna Salad offers a generous bowl with Ahi tuna, rice noodles, napa cabbage, vegetables, mint, cilantro soy vinaigrette and topped March 2018 WWW.IONAZ.COM 69
onions and sautéed mushrooms stacked on a warm hoagie roll with creamy horseradish sauce plus a side of au jus. $13. For heartier fare, pick the Baby Back Ribs, spice-rubbed and slow smoked for hours, seared and smothered with a choice of BBQ sauces. Garlic bread and two choices of sides. Lean and meaty, the generous half or full rack are $15 or $23.
In the wide world of traditional hot sandwiches, two of them are classics: the Patty Melt and the Reuben. They make an appearance at Chambers; although enjoyable, their sammy’s meats didn’t have that deli quality “wow” factor nor were they “piled high” with it as promised on the menu. $13
The extensive, well-stocked bar at Chambers is where the real fun is when the place gets pumpin’ at night. It’ll be a great place for Jameson and Guinness on March 17 when everybody’s Irish ... even if the menu isn’t quite.
The star of the show is the Sliced Ribeye Sandwich giving you thin sliced ribeye, melted swiss, grilled

#Kirby Girls When the hashtag becomes art
I
t’s been over a decade since Scotty Kirby started refining his skills as a photographer. He photographed weddings and high school seniors. One day it all changed.
“Then I met Coco St. James,” Scotty remembered. “I’m a huge Gaga fan, and Coco was doing one of her Gaga looks. She’s the whole reason I do what I do.” It wasn’t long before the #KirbyGirls hashtag became an eagerly sought after title among the drag community. “It’s really flattering,” Scotty admitted. “People assume it’s an exclusive ‘club,’ or that it’s manufactured. Essentially it’s a cute, fun name for all the girls I photograph. And now the event isn’t just an ordinary drag show—it’s a chance for me to give the stage to those who’ve supported me.” March 2018 WWW.IONAZ.COM 81
event is the full experience, bringing it to life, beyond the still images.” The multi-media collaboration brings more than a little magic to this year’s spectacular. “The performers are all people I jive with. I meet with the girls at least four times before I choose who I want. They have to be reliable, professional, and put forth the effort. Sometimes it’s a new queen I’ve seen who catches my eye. Rubye Moore does some killer looks.” Audiences and fans will be impressed by the upcoming KirbyGirls 3 exhibition and performances with two art forms on one stage. “This year it’s a different feeling and experience. I’ve done more customizing with the stage, sound and lights than ever before,” Scotty hinted.
There’s a wide range of queens who are KirbyGirls. There’s not one singular “type” you’ll find at this year’s spectacular and exhibit. “I love the chance to create the cast by making it as diverse as possible, including a variety of visual aesthetics and performing styles,” Scotty explained. “This is the one time where it’s my stage and I can do whatever I want with it. My favorite part about the 82

eepthroaters prowling anacondas, circuit groupies searching for porn star peen, potato and rice & bean queens, gym bunnies chomping on each others carrots and drag queens indulging in occasional kai-kai. Folks know whom they want and in this month’s Favorite Bitch® let’s take a look at folks and their Gaysian Splendor! Dear Miss Tiger, I’m only attracted to young Asian guys. My friends are convinced this is a fetish and not a preference. I’m convinced Asians are meant to be with older white guys. How do I get my friends to understand the whole story? — Harold Dear You Old Queen, I sure as hell don’t wanna know your “whole story” because it’s a tawdry tale of hegemonic constructs and countless sex tourism trips to Thailand! Social Security recipient, retired from the U.S. Armed Forces and troll 18-year-old Asian twinks? (Chances are it’s a fetish and not a preference) Rich, a top, and a control freak with anger management issues? (Chances are it’s a fetish and not a preference) The cherry on top of your melted sundae is your audacity to say that Asians are meant to couple with older, White men. Your distorted view on relationships and racial identity reeks of imperialism … and you didn’t need my advice because your friends clocked
you from the jump! Dear Miss Tiger, I’m recently attracted to Asian men. Problem is I’ve never interacted much with Asian culture. Don’t know how to approach dating and wondering if you have any advice? — Billy Dear Corn-fed White Person, Learn how to use chopsticks ... and when you can navigate a California Roll with ease, hit me back for further advice! NEXT! Dear Miss Tiger, Gay Korean and new to Phoenix. Also a top and attracted to other Asians. It’s been difficult to meet guys because they want Latin tops. It’s the same story everywhere. Eotteokhaeeeeee?! Help?! — Joon Dear Hello Kitty, Save your tears for grandmommy’s spicy kimchi. Try stepping outta the Melrose District … and skippin’ over to Mesa. Not only will you experience the best dim sum at Mekong Palace Restaurant, but you’ll also find plenty of Asian boys who prefer sticky rice over paella!

Ki-yi-yippee yay! The Gay Rodeo got just that much gayer! Benjamin Boe gave the mechanical bull the ride of his life, lasting 23 seconds on the bucking bovine– which is a really long time. (D) Guess Ben was feeling a little bit “horny” that day. (Yuck, yuck, yuck!)

our “Friendly A Neighborhood ‘Ho” and blue movie star Wesley Woods, popped up at BS West recently. The homo heartthrob was doing some talent scouting amongst the fair fairies of our land. He was chatting up Angel Leon about the louche life in Hollywood (A). Could we possibly see my fave gogo boy up on the silver screen and down on all fours? Time will tell, my smut-loving sweeties!
It’s always a Red Letter Day when our favorite ex-pat Helena Grayson comes to visit from IKEA Land with her B lovely little lingonberry lover Elisabeth Drion. The two were spotted flanking their handsome host Jimmy Thomason for their #HappyHour at The Rock. (E)

he two Full Moons on March 2 and again on March 31 sandwich a month of creativity running between them at an all time high, bringing about a perfect climate for change. Watch the cosmic conjunction conga line of Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter in the southeastern sky at dawn in early March. These attention-grabbing planets suggest you rally with your pals. The Vernal Equinox happens on Tuesday, March 20 at about 9:15 a.m. for most of Arizona when the Sun crosses the equator, while Time is divided perfectly in two with equal amounts of Day and Night for one brief moment. A conflict will be resolved despite the first Mercury Retrograde of 2018 from March 22 concluding on April 15. ARIES Mar. 21 - Apr. 20 You’re philanthropic and social duties are a priority. Don’t overextend yourself. There’s only so much of you to go around. Be more diplomatic. Birthday rams feel a little reckless, gaining independence. TAURUS April. 21 - May 20 Don’t give up too much of yourself this month. Everyone wants a piece of you, either emotionally, spiritually, or even a piece of ass. Stay in the background. You deserve a rest. GEMINI May 21 - June 21 You discover what works for you, and what doesn’t. Like, that blouse? It doesn’t work for you. The Universe will be either very encouraging, or a little critical. You’re just like your mother, you know. CANCER June 22 - July 22 Look out for frustrating errands, paperwork, and misunderstandings. A little extra effort from you keeps relationship drama at a minimum. And we hate drama. Compromise is your strong suit.

LEO July 23 - Aug. 22 Career. Status. Rewards. Everyone seems to mold into exactly what you want since you’ve had a major character shift recently. Frankly, you needed it. No offense, but you did. VIRGO Aug. 23 - Sep. 22 It’s all about emotions and addressing matters. Put on your “I’m Serious!” hat. Now is the time to seize power, but don’t get carried away. Mercury retrograde highlights an obsession. Care to share what it is? LIBRA Sep. 23 - Oct. 22 Get healthy! Detox, diet, exercise or do something to cleanse out the crap. Consider some Spring Cleaning, too. You’ll be singing, “Let it go! Let it go!” all month long. SCORPIO Oct. 23 - Nov.23 Achieving your goals keeps you motivated. The two Full Moons illuminate the way to getting results, and quitting bad habits. SAGITTARIUS Nov. 23 - Dec. 23 Look for unbridled energy, thanks to Jupiter and your own personal charm. Indulge in secret desires and focus on pleasure. Keep everything in check, horndog! CAPRICORN Dec. 23 - Jan. 20 You’ve had a lot of things on the back burner. The time is now to make everything happen. Results may take a while, but they’ll come ... sooner or later. AQUARIUS Jan. 21 - Feb. 19 Maintain focus, keep communication lines open. You’re feeling a little scattered, but what else is new? You’ll keep busy when you begin to strengthen an old relationship. PISCES Feb. 20 - Mar. 20 Your self-confidence is way up there, thanks to the tri-planet convergence. Birthday fishies excel at expressing themselves. You’re extra-assertive—like a bossy bottom (even if you’re a top.) Mars keeps you playful with a full sex life. Meow, baby!
