ID’13
Introduction
To improve the position of the department of Industrial Design during the Dutch Design Week we, Job Huberts and Mitchell Jacobs, want to propose a plan. We are two students with hands on experience in the ID community and have a clear vision about the profiling of ID within the design landscape of Eindhoven. We believe that we can help in taking ID13 to the next level and are highly motivated to do this. In this document we present our first global plan for ID13.
Goals
Put Industrial Design on the chart within the Dutch Design Week
Our main goal is to make Industrial Design the highlight of the DDW within a couple of years through following the upcoming goals.
Optimize quality of exhibited projects
_ Presenting vs. experiencing _ Clear routing through exhibition _ Plain explanation of exhibited projects _ Stimulate use of videos _ It should be regarded as an honor to present at ID13, don’t focus on Excellent verdicts _ Provide support in finalizing projects for ID13
Organization
for and by students _ Students are the representation of the faculty _ Propagate the idea and vision of the department
Promotion & style _ Reach the desired people _ Nationwide promotion _ Make use of opportunities of TU/e campus, e.g. Groene Loper _ Respond to the willingness of the visitors _ Present projects context related
Internal communication _ Scout during student exhibitions _ Start organization in time _ Deadline quality control, no quality means not exhibiting on ID13
Long term _ All FBPs and FMPs _ Evaluate current location _ Dependance location on Strijp to stimulate visitors flow
