After completion of our Hazwoper course you will start on the job training, your hourly training rate will be based on experience. For the last two years, I have been applying for a job in financial institutions, banks, and also have tried some airlines. I had some interviews, but I did not get a job. I have 10 years experience in retail store management (customer service, cash handling, loss prevention, shipping and receiving, payroll.) I am currently attending college in the evenings.his is my problem: I am tired and sometimes I get frustrated doing the same job for so long. I would love to find a job in a different field, but I have not been successful. I am bilingual, but I have an accent. (Not a strong accent). Do you think that is why I have not being able to find another job? -Houston, Texas Reader No! The accent doesn’t matter if you are easy to understand. You know that we are all easier to understand

face-to-face than on the phone. Changing careers can be difficult because, although your experience is extremely valuable at your current company, it might be specific only to that position. Keep trying. Practice interviewing with a friend and let her/him critique you to see if you are making any nervous mistakes in the interview. You have to expect to start at a lower rung of the ladder. I love my job, but I have to find a new one because my husband thinks I am working too far from home and too many hours per week. I’ve been here for three years. What should I say in an interview when they ask why I am leaving? -Katy, Texas Reader Well, don’t tell them that you’re changing jobs because your husband makes your decisions!! They may decide to hire him instead. Tell them that it’s too far from home with gas prices increasing all the time. And seriously, you need to

talk with your husband about his control issues. I am starting to interview and am really worried about my Facebook page. I read that some employers ask you for your password so that they can get into your account. The article said that they will ask you to “friend” someone in HR so they can see what you have on there. I don’t have anything too horrible on there, but there is private information about my friends, and I don’t want to share it with other people. Is there a way to gracefully say “NO?” -Houston, Texas Reader There are very few employers who are asking for this kind of information. Chances are slim that you will have to face this question unless you are interviewing for a position with a security clearance. It’s very unethical to ask for unnecessary personal information, and they would be acquiring information about your friends that they absolutely should not

access. I believe you could just tell the interviewer, “Although I have nothing to hide, I believe that this is an invasion of not only my privacy but also the privacy of my friends.” Is that graceful enough? However, I guarantee you that prospective employers will search for you online, and you need to make sure that your privatcy settings are high, and that you have no YouTube videos out there that might embarrass you.

No, there’s not. Unfortunately, in today’s culture that’s part of becoming an adult. When you hand them car keys there’s no way to put a block on how they drive. And when they turn 21, there’s no way to put a block on what they ingest.

About the only thing you can do is to teach your kids to the best of your ability, and be a good parent and good example. Teach them why debt is dumb, and show them how it eats away at their ability to save money and build wealth.

I’m 24, and I don’t have any debt except for a small student loan. I’m going to law school to study international law, and I have a scholarship that pays 25 percent. However, I won’t really be able to work much while I’m studying. How can I do this without taking on more debt?

I’ll bet there’s one that’s willing to pay for your law school if you would agree to work for them for a few years after you get out. It’s kind of an indentured servitude deal, but that’s a lot better than taking on $150,000 or more in debt. The scholarship is a good thing, but we both know it will only scratch the surface when you’re talking about law school. Think about this, Amy. You got the scholarship by ﬁnding a good opportunity and asking for it, right? There’s a ton of scholarship money out there, and millions of dollars of it goes unclaimed every year.
