Iridescent Waters
The Concept What do we do? Dredging is an excavation activity usually carried out at least partly underwater, in shallow seas or fresh water with the purpose of gathering up bottom sediments and disposing of them at a different location. This technique is often used to keep waterways navigable. It is also used as a way to replenish sand on some public beaches, where sand has been lost because of coastal erosion. Dredging is also used as a technique for fishing for certain species of edible clams and crabs. How are we different? Dredging often has a bad name, because of the disturbance of natural habitats and wildlife. As we are an eco-friendly and sustainable company, we try our best to ensure that natural habitats are rebuilt and looked after, as well as keeping an eye on wildlife count, making sure that species don’t become under threat of extinction.
