• SEFOR proved beyond a doubt Dr. Paul Greebler’s oxide fueled fast reactor safety characteristics and the world then included these coefficients in all their fast reactor designs. • EBR-II proved the safety characteristics of metal fueled fast reactors. • Too bad Chernobyl wasn’t a fast reactor. If it was it would not have destroyed itself. 10

• The Integral Fast Reactor (IFR) does not contribute to CO2 contamination in the atmosphere and minimizes the waste storage products produced by existing thermal reactors. • Waste from thermal reactors leads to a 10,000 year stability criteria for disposal. With IFR waste, the time of concern is less than 500 years. 11

• The IFR (Integral Fast Reactor) has by far the most proliferation resistant fuel cycle. • The IFR is an integrated, weaponsincompatable, proliferation resistant cycle that is closed – it encompasses the active fuel cycle, including fuel production, power generation, reprocessing and waste management. 12

The Fast Reactor has been shown to be: Proven; Environmentally Friendly; Antiproliferable; and 700 years of Fast Reactor fuel is already mined and milled. Economically the production of power with the IFR should be equivalent to todays nuclear plant’s power costs (especially with 700 years of fast reactor fuel already mined and milled).
What more could we ask for? 14
• Do you want meaningful amounts of and meaningful costs for energy in the future? The only rational course at this point in time is following through with the Integral Fast Reactor (IFR). No other solution appears on the horizon. Either we initiate the fast reactor or we all go down the drain.
