The IB Around the World

We currently work with IB World Schools in 160 countries. All our jurisdictions have not-forprofit or charitable status with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Our four global centres are in Washington, USA, The Hague, Netherlands, Cardiff, UK, and Singapore. We employ approximately 773 IB staff worldwide.

Our IB staff and educators work closely with prospective and candidate schools as well as existing IB World Schools. They are also responsible for creating and sustaining relationships with governments, international and national agencies, universities and other educational institutions, foundations and concerned individuals. Through its strategic goals, we are also promoting wider educational access.

Core services we provide include: For prospective schools • introductory or orientation workshops • consultation, advice, and materials on application and authorization • training workshops • authorization visits.
