HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS! In 2019, we will see strong sales activity intensity in the Pacific Northwest luxury housing market. Despite some headwinds, there are many positive signs in our housing market. Nationally and regionally, the number one indicator of a strong housing market – job growth – is extremely positive. While interest rates are projected to rise to the low five percent range by fall of 2019, interest rates are still historically low. In areas close to the job centers in Seattle and on the Eastside, high-end homes up to $1.5 million will see strong sales activity intensity; then up to $3 million, there will be healthy sales activity. Luxury homes priced over $3 million will have selective buyer activity. As the weather warms up in the spring, more luxury properties will come on the market, and we project healthy sales activity up to $2 million and selective buyer activity above. In the luxury market in Kitsap County, we can expect strong sales activity up to $2 million, and selective buyer activity above that price point. In 1931, my grandfather started John L.
