CCF Parade

The Year 10 CCF (Combined Cadet Force) cadets completed their pass-off parade in front of their proud parents as well as members from our Senior Management Team.

To ensure everything went like clockwork, our cadets had completed a weekend of drill training, rigorously practicing their moves to ensure the first ever full pass-off parade was absolutely first class.

Following the John Lyon CCF Colour, carried by Sgts Pande, Verden and LCpl Qu., Cadets marched onto the Sudbury Astro and formed up, facing their parents and standing to attention with pride. They then marched on Lt Blenkinsop and the Inspecting Officer, Gareth Mawdsley, who commented on the cadets’ high standard of dress as well as their discipline and was pleased to find that so many of the cadets had positive things to say about their time in the CCF. After a brief speech by the Inspecting Officer, cadets were invited forward to receive their berets as a testament to their hard work and outstanding commitment. It was a very successful day and a fantastic first public event for the John Lyon CCF. n
