Of Sorrow and Grief

"Shallow Depths"

Silently sitting, staring into the void, Exhausted beyond measure, could rest for years employed.

Pondering deeply, in the depths of despair, My heart dulled and lifeless, filled with bitter snare.

Through misty windows, I seethe and seethe My brain cries out, "Find good in morrow's weave!" In frustration, my hands fly up to cleave This chain of sorrow that I cannot leave

I laugh, I scream, I shout, I cry, A tormented soul lost in endless strife. As the hours of darkness slowly pass by, I ask fate, "why such an unfair life?"

Oh, cruel fate! Oh, treacherous fate! You filled my existence with pain and misery so great. My life's become a living hell that I hate, As my soul searches for answers to this grim fate.

Let hope shine through the misty haze, And lead me to brighter, happier days. For though my heart may feel shallow and weak, I know with time, my spirit can rise and seek.
