Greetings!

On behalf of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. and 100 Black Men of Indianapolis, Inc., it is our pleasure to welcome you to Indianapolis for the 1st 100 Black Men of America Midwest District Summit!

This Summit was made possible by the committed work of all the Chapters that make up the Moses Gray Midwest District. Each of you have made an enormous difference in your local communities through mentoring and service.

This year’s presenting sponsor is Bank of America! They have been an amazing partner both locally in Indianapolis as well as nationally with the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. Thanks also to Lilly Endowment, Meijer, PNC Bank, and of course, our host chapter, 100 Black Men of Indianapolis, Inc.

This Summit has been in the works for over a year, and it is great to finally be able to come together in person. As you know, we recently lost two VERY significant pillars in our ranks; Chairman Thomas W. Dortch, Jr., and founding board member of both 100 Black Men of America, Inc. and 100 Black Men of Indianapolis, Inc., Moses Gray. Let us continue the model they laid before us by ensuring that the work of The 100 continues to grow and thrive. We have a firm foundation, and it is up to us to make sure that we prepare our future leaders to continue the work.

Use this Summit to network, learn and share best practices so that you can take the information back to your individual chapters and expand on your current initiatives.

Thanks for your commitment to The 100, and for making a difference in the lives of the youth we serve!

Sincerely,

James A. Duke

Moses Gray Midwest District Representative
