In terms of medals, Joma’s athletics federations won a total of 21 medals at the European Athletics Championships 2022 held in Munich. With Spain at the top of the Joma medal count and third in overall total of gold medals, all last day of the European Championships.
- Spain closed the European Championships by breaking records with 10 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze, each one with its own name on it.
- The Serbian delegation reached a total of 4 medals in this European Athletics Championships 2022: 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
At the celebration of Europe’s biggest athletics event, the European Athletics Championships Munich 2022, the Spanish company Joma showcased its power in this competed in Munich: Spain, Slovenia, Serbia, Ireland and the Czech Republic.
In addition, Joma provided uniforms to six more: Albania, Andorra, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Macedonia and Moldova,
- The Czech Republic, in its debut with Joma, accumulated 3 more medals for its athletics record: 1 silver and 2 bronze.
- Finally, both Slovenia and Ireland won 2 medals.
Athletics, along with football, is the birth sport of the Joma brand and its development has positioned it as one of the leading brands in the market in both footwear and apparel.
Spain wins with Joma apparel at U18 European Championship
Spain triumphed at the U18 European Athletics Championships, a competition that brought together the youngest athletes in Europe. The Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) sported Joma in this event taking Spain to 4th place in the ranking of best teams.
In addition, the Spanish athletes took home 5 medals: three gold medals won by David Garcia in 400 meters, Sergio del meters race walk; and two bronzes by Ainhoa Reparaz in Swedish relay and Miguel Espinosa in 1000 meters race walk. Therefore, Spain maintained the medal count achieved at the championships four years ago in Györ.
At the U18 European Athletics Championships, two of the Spanish participants wore Joma’s R.4000 shoes in the women’s 6th and, on the other hand gold medal winner Sofía Santacreu.
