Unicaja’s new Basketball uniforms, a tribute to its 30th anniversary

The club presented the jerseys at an event held at the Unicaja Foundation Cultural Center.

Joma, as technical sponsor of Unicaja Basketball, once season. This year, the design was marked by the tribute to the 30 years of the club. With it, the players faced the Endesa League and the European League.

The main new feature of the new uniforms of Unicaja Basketball was the disappearance of the sleeves in order to was inspired by the Caja de Ronda jersey from the 89-90 and 90-91 seasons, which is so fondly remembered by fans. With the upper part in purple and lighter than in recent years, a white stripe with the Unicaja logo, and the lower half in the team’s traditional green.

For the away uniforms, a simpler Mayoral Maristas uniforms was used, in white, with the logos in color and with the the sides of the jersey.

The new jerseys of the reigning champion team were designed and produced in no less than four different styles: this year, the traditional yellow and blue ones featured a “modern camouflage” pattern, while for the pink and black ones, we could see the Prosecco Doc “bubbles” embedded on the patterns of the uniforms.

This year’s uniforms also included the tricolor crest and the Italian Cup shield on the center of the chest, celebrating the victories obtained by the JomaTeam last season. New for the season, also included an updated font-type giving an extra touch of freshness to the printing of names and numbers.

In terms of technical features, the jerseys were manufactured with high quality polyester and elastane ensuring freedom of movement. This type of fabric is characterized by its elasticity and resistance.
