Tiger Heart:Â APS Good News ALLEGAN PUBLIC SCHOOLS | 2/3/2020 - 2/16/2020
GOOD THINGS AT APS Mother Nature finally cooperated with a snow day. (Maybe we didn't appreciate them enough last year? LOL!) Hope you enjoyed your extra day of your mid-winter break!
Congratulations to Mrs. Hunziker! She was awarded WGVU's Cool Teacher award. (Check out the AAESA enotes sent last week for the full article.)
Proud to be a Tiger! Normally, this wouldn't be something you'd want to see. However, alternative students were able to visit the Allegan Tech Center. Students had a blast. One student even got handcuffed. (In Criminal Justice class of course!)
Congratulations to the Competitive Cheer team for its fourth place finish in the final conference meet and a fourth place finish in the final standings.
When play and learning are mixed together, smiles happen!
Dawson students celebrated Snowcoming and 100th Day of School!
West Ward students had an "egg"-stra special STEAM night. One of the activities was designing a container for an egg so it wouldn't break. They reached new "heights" with this fun event!
AHS Drama and the AHS choir program hosted a celebrity workshop with a performer from the Broadway production of Hamilton. It was a great experience!
Clifford the Big Red Dog was in the house! Clifford visited North Ward to encourage student to keep working hard on their reading skills. The students were very excited!
AAHS's second sensory event was a huge success! This time Alternative High School students led their middle school friends through stations that included making sensory putty, calm down jars, and racing cars.â?¤
In case you missed it, this is the memorial rock for Harry Dalm at West Ward. He is forever in our hearts!
