NASHVILLE EVENT
A big thank you to all of the alums, parents and players that attended our fundraising event at Adele’s Nashville in October! It was a great night in Nashville celebrating the past, present and future of OWU baseball with several alums we are so lucky to have involved with our program. A special thank you to Howard Greenstone ’83, Tim Corbin ’84, Jeff Long ’82, Ray Dewhirst ’82 and Fody Frentsos ’84 for their time and efforts in helping put on such a great event!

TURKEY BOWL VII
TURKEY BOWL VII
On Thursday, November 17th, Ohio Wesleyan baseball held its seventh-annual Thanksgiving flag football tournament. Turkey Bowl VII was made up of 4 teams drafted by the senior class and played under the lights at Selby Stadium before heading off for Thanksgiving break. Senior coaches Josh Ferreira, Sammy Stoner and Ryan Duckworth’s squad brought home the title.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
SAMMY STONER
Senior | Outfielder | Dublin, OH
Congratulations to outfielder Sammy Stoner on recently finishing his senior season with OWU football. Sammy competed an outstanding career at strong safety, starting every game in 2024 and finished his career with 38 games played, 8 interceptions, 72 total tackles and a special teams 51 yard touchdown pass against Wittenberg this fall. This spring, Sammy will be back covering ground in centerfield for the Bishops. During the 2023 season as an All-NCAC selection, Stoner set the OWU program record for outfield putouts in a season with 128!
"Playing two sports in college was always a dream of mine, and I’m lucky that all of my coaches and teammates were very accommodating with me even when I wasn’t there in the offseason. There were definitely times where it was difficult to not have a true offseason, but I wouldn’t have changed it for the world. I have made so many friends along the way, and I can’t wait to start my final season of baseball before my college career comes to a close.” -Sammy Stoner

The OWU coaching staff is excited to announce that registration is now live for both of our winter camps! Both camps will be run by the OWU coaching staff and current players in the Gordon Field House on campus here at OWU.
