Following the success of their album, Future Theory will be playing live and loud at Liquor in Lincoln City Centre on the 9th April 2022 at 7 pm. A day later they will be heading on tour across Sheffield to Grantham, before heading over to NICE N SLEAZY in Glasgow. Concluding the tour at The Banshee Labyrinth in Edinburgh with Soundmind and Manic Romance on the 16th of April. Head to their website for more details.
After four years in the making, this album has definitely been worth the wait. This mix of grunge, alternative and progressive rock encapsulates the freedom, frustration, and flamboyance that comes with this level of creativity and character. The Lincolnshire-based foursome creating this distinctive sound consists of Maximillian Sander on rhythm guitar and vocals, Chris Moore on lead guitar, Jacob Brookes on bass, and Rohan Parrett on drums. The opening track of the album is explosive, setting the tone for the remaining nine songs. A listener is tantalised by a suspenseful drumbeat before being thrown into the beautiful thunderstorm that is ‘Hang your Hat’, this darker tone allows a listener to inspect the inner corners of their minds fueled by Max’s powerful vocals this song is surely one you need to see live.
Track 7, Poison Jivey, starts off more mellow, a tone of reflection and quiet ecstasy which gradually bubbles with enthusiastic energy. The album concludes with Cause and Motive which combines their distinctive, darker reverb tones with a climactic kaleidoscope of sound to create a memorable and entertaining experience both in the comfort of a listener’s bedroom and in the arms of a crowd watching them live.
Maximilian said: “Playing live we create an immersive atmosphere that sucks people in, like a vortex of sound. The album was produced keeping in mind how it would sound whilst live, getting that blend of intricate musicianship, a bit of psychedelia and some crunching alt-rock guitars”
“The tour is going to be big, loud and a lot of fun” Maxmillian Sander
