EAT
The Aragon Café We first opened our doors on Nov. 20th of 2017. The café is owned by Doug and Alice Campbell. The café is spearheaded by myself as General Manager & Head Chef Cory Ernes. The café was never initially in the plan for the downtown expansion. The Campbell’s were looking to expand their Salon and Barber Shop into Pensacola area and originally that is all the space was going to consist of. However they approached me to see if I was interested in becoming a part of the business and what I thought I might like to do. At first we mulled the idea of a coffee shop but I have no real experience with coffee shops so the idea shifted to something I was familiar with, food service. When we finally decided that a café is
what we wanted to do, we now needed to make a decision on what we wanted to bring to the table. I have always had a great love for comfort food in particular bbq but I didn’t want a BBQ resturaunt. Doug and I talked back and forth and we felt that we could still bring an element of bbq with out it being our only option and it still be successful. All we had to do was think of other home cooked foods that brought we love. The meatloaf is one such meal, the recipie is inspired by the one my mother has made for as long as I can remember, and it is amazing. The rest of the pieces sort of fell into place after that. As a café I would love for us to be known for our great food of course but also our hospitality. We believe that comfort food
should be accompanied by a great service and a friendly environment and that is what we strive to provide here at the Aragon Café. I think my main goal is for us to be a “local” treasure. What I enjoy most about the café other than the food is the atmosphere. It is a unique space being connected to a barber shop and salon. The architecture inside the build is very open and inviting. Exposed brick wall and dark stained wood provide unique setting the is enhanced by local artwork and great blues music.

Aragon Wine Market At Aragon Wine Market, we’ve always focused on wine education as well as customer service. Since we first opened, we decided that we would hold weekly wine tastings for our customers to sample different wines as well as learn from the experience. We usually have 5-6 different wines to sample poured by a knowledgeable wine expert to answer any questions the customer may have. The wine tastings are a great opportunity to learn while you have fun. Wine tastings are held every Thursday from 5pm-7pm and are free to the public. Stop by and discover your new favorite! The store organically evolved into a place for people to come enjoy a glass of wine. Whether it’s after sampling the wine tasting line-up or just stopping by after work, customers love to sit and relax with a delicious glass-or bottle- of wine. We have a lovely courtyard which is a fantastic place to linger over a nice bottle of your favorite wine. We pride ourselves on customer service, so if there’s something special you are looking for in wine, don’t hesitate to ask us!

from the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones, and more. But you will also hear some new country music covering the likes of George Strait, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean and even Merle Haggard. They also are known for top 40 tunes from groups like the Commodores, The Black Keys and the Ramones. If you get lucky you may hear some Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett.
Freeway 98 Freeway 98 Band is one of the more diverse bands on the coast playing covers of most all genre’s . Formed almost seven years ago, they have grown locally and have a loyal fan base. Band founder, Smokie J. Jones, has lived and played solo and with bands all over Australia, Asia and Europe for most of his life. Although he has worked in other fields over the years music has always been the most important to him. After moving to the States from Europe in 2011 he decided to form a band so he could have more opportunities to play. Smokie met Chris Byrnes at a local open mic night and was impressed with his voice and guitar skills and played together well both musically and lyrically. Thus Freeway 98 was born. The band has employed a variety of local drummers such as Zack Tucker, Greg Nicholas and Anthony Brown. Currently the spot is filled with a local favorite drummer, JD Cowan. Although when Smokie plays solo he sticks mostly with country music, both old and new, with some beach and pop music mixed in, Freeway 98 plays Classic Rock
Freeway 98 will be playing the Haunted Hayride at Whispering Pines in Milton October 12, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 & 28. here
Freeway 98 is a crowd pleaser in many ways. The song choices are a hit with the crowds but the audience interaction they possess is one of the things that crowds love about them. You may hear them asking tourists where they are from and how do they like it here and there will most likely be some sing-alongs with the audience or a long Happy Birthday song to someone in the crowd. Ve n u e s tend to keep Freeway 98 booked for the season for a reason and even after the season ends they are most likely playing some night on the weekend locally on Pensacola Beach or Navarre. They have an active Facebook page that regularly posts their schedule. If you get the chance to hear them go on up and introduce yourself to them, they are a great group of guys with an amazing sound. For Booking info, Contact Smokie Jones (850) 501 8186

Chill Cryotherapy Cryotherapy involves exposing the body to sub-zero temperatures. which promotes the body’s natural anti-inflammatory response, release endorphins, reduce pain and promote overall health. Cryotherapy is not a medical procedure, but a non-invasive alternative for individuals seeking faster recovery and improved health. Chill Cryotherapy features an immersive, enclosed Whole Body cryosauna, where our clients are briefly enveloped by hyper-cooling air that ranges between -166°F and -229°F. The standard three minute treatment lowers the body’s skin surface temperature and starts to stimulate the body’s healing receptors. The treatment is painless, and
refreshing to many. Clients report that the experience is invigorating and improves a variety of conditions such as psychological stress, insomnia, muscle and joint pain, and various skin conditions. Professional athletes have discovered that whole-body cryotherapy is a powerful treatment to decrease recovery time and increase athletic performance. Exposure to extreme cold stimulates sensors in the skin, causing the Central Nervous System to respond by releasing endorphins, the body’s natural pain inhibitors and mood elevators. Blood flow in and out of the core is also enhanced, decreasing inflammation by clearing toxins and metabolic waste with a supply of oxygen and nutrient enriched blood and stimulating cellular regeneration (faster healing). Treatments have been adopted by elite athletes and pro teams for muscle and injury recovery.
