Based around RTID (Radio Frequency Identification) this is a shopping bag which independently without scanning picks up signals from products that have been placed within it. The bags interface tallies the cost of the products placed within it in a financial and environmental sense; this allows users to monitor the impact of their everyday decisions on climate change.

As a Creative Intern, my responsibilities in this project included several disciplines, from graphic design for postcards, posters and other publicity material, to multimedia design with flash game development and video editing in the Refugee Realities movie which I was also in as a former refugee. My most challenging role was creating a sets and scenes for Refugee Realities on a very tight budget ( most objects were sourced out of dumpster and donated), I helped design and build an international house from which participants would flee, and an indoor desert with mines. All of which had cues for participants to discuss as they walked through the simulation. Refugee Realities had a life size Refugee Camp that helped demonstrate the conditions Refugees in camps faced daily. The weblink for Refugee Realities is http://www.oxfam.org.au/refugee/index.php
