TEN AMAZING THINGS PEOPLE DO AT THE UGANDA MUSEUM by Joyce.w

Take some time out and visit a museum and you will be amazed. The Uganda Museum is a museum in Kampala, Uganda, which displays and exhibits ethnological, natural-historical and traditional life collections of Uganda's cultural heritage. It is the oldest museum in East Africa, founded in 1908, after Governor George Wilson called for "all articles of interest" on Uganda to be procured. Among the collections in the Uganda Museum are playable musical instruments, hunting equipment, weaponry, archaeology an d entomology. It was officially established by the British protectorate government

in 1908 with ethnographic material. The history of the museum goes back to 1902 when Governor George Wilson called for collection of objects of interest throughout the country to set up a museum. The museum started in a small Sikh temple at Lugards Fort on Old Kampala Hill. Between 1920s and 1940s, archaeology and paleontological surveys and excavations were conducted by Church Hill, E. J. Wayland, Bishop J. Wilson, P. L. Shinnie, E. Lanning, and several others, who collected a significant number of artifacts to boost the museum.

1. Hold meetings or workshops in the main hall. This can be a meeting organized by an organization or company. The main hall has a capacity of over 200 people. You would imagine this place was in a state of abandonment. However so many meetings, workshops or gatherings are to be found here. It’s really not that typical air conditioned room but people love it. The first I was there I couldn’t believe I was seated at the museum’s main hall! Please note though that the building is a historical landmark designed by a German Architect called E rnst May JOY FEELINGS MAG!

2. Hold discussions or meetings in the museum library. This library is quite small to sit an audience. I realized people would do anything to have the utmost feel of this place. We could have had our discussions somewhere more spacious. The awesome thing is it reminds one of sitting in an expensive café in town. There are several warm chairs that can distract you from the serious business that took you there. I felt like folding up my legs and going off into sweet slumber. Hmmm, oh yeah. It holds a small crowd that can discuss anything in between the book shelves filled with interesting books about Ugandan history. The leather worn Page 6

chairs too can immediately remind one of being in their living room. The people who use this space also enjoy the conference of a good projector that immediately lights up the room.

seductive to the poets who enjoy sitting in this backyard. They hold bonfires and barbeque nights to recite poetry. They crack open sodas and eat lots of fun things too.

3. Hold poetry performance in the compound. At the back of the Uganda Museum building are traditional huts depicting lifestyles of the early indigenous people in Uganda. There is also an array of cultural material such as milk pots made from wood (ebyanzi), gourd vessels, basketry, beadwork, horn work, ceramics, cutlery, leatherworks, armory, and musical instruments are displayed. This atmosphere is really

4. Visit the display halls to admire the artifacts. This is a good place for people who really want appreciate what the museum holds. It holds stone carvings made by artists depicting a Ugandan life. Stone Age life is described to show how living conditions have evolved. Specimens are displayed in the Natural History /Palaeontology Gallery which is open to the public It’s really good for tourists, students and

really everyone to learn this. 5. Do research in the library. The library has a good collection of books about the Ugandan history that you may not find in any other libraries if you want to do a good research for your studies. Most of the books are still in good condition though considering the fact that they are really old publications lining up these books shelves. Publication of findings can be found in various journals including the Geo-Pal, an online Uganda Scientific Journal. It holds old rare books on early European explorers and travellers, Uganda’s colonial history, general African history, early JOY FEELINGS MAG!

historical writing by the Baganda, natural history and old photographs among others. The books hold much historical importance to the community, researches and interested parties. Some of the books include John Hanning Speke’s Journal of the Discovery of the Nile (published in 1863) in which he describes all that appeared to him as being most important and interesting during his sojourn into the interior of Africa. Uganda’s Katikiro in England (1904) by Ham Mukasa, the Katikiro’s (Buganda kingdom prime minister) secretary during the England visit, is among the first books written by a Ugandan. Page 8

Originally written in Luganda, it was translated into English by Ernest Millar on the request of some of those whom, having met the Katikiro Sir Apolo Kagwa during his visit to England in 1902, wished to know what impressions he had gained during that visit. Kagwa was the prime minister of Buganda kingdom from 1890–1926. The other books Through the Dark Continent, Vol.1, (1878) and The Founding of the Congo Free State (1885) by the British journalist and explorer Sir Henry Morton Stanley; Basekabaka ba Buganda(1912) by Sir Apolo Kagwa; four journals by Dr David Livingstone; Memoir of Samuel Baker Rindge(1891) by Francis JOY FEELINGS MAG!

Jewett Parker; and The Rwenzori (1908) by Filippo de Filippi, among others. You will definitely find most of the books you want here.

6. Hold festivals in the gardens The Uganda national museum is a festive place. This is really popular because you can almost find any kind of festival at the Uganda museum every month. These festivals can be ice cream festivals, Muchomo festivals (here it’s traditionally roasting meat to eat) cake festivals, book festivals, Rolex festival (here it’s the love for chapatti rolled with fried eggs and vegetables again!) e.t.c. The whole Page 9

list is still unknown of all these festivals. However they are events that the public really converge to enjoy. 7. Wedding receptions in the gardens. I wondered whether I should plan my wedding here too because it seems like such an awesome thing. There is an endless stream of love birds getting married here almost every weekend. There is always a wedding reception on a Saturday unless the place has been booked out for a festival. I have also attended a relative’s wedding reception here. The gardens are spacious and people hire outside caterers and events managers that make it even more magnificent. JOY FEELINGS MAG!

It’s indeed a place of memories. 8. Lounging in the restaurants to eat The museum has a luxurious restaurant that serves the Ugandan cuisine and typically most foods you would find in an expensive restaurant. This restaurant is located at the entrance of the gate near the Wildlife Authority premises. People can enjoy anything delicious from here and with a long menu of Ugandan savory delicacies like rice, matooke, fried chicken, beef stew with food, snacks. They have the snacks you would enjoy like sausages, chapatti, samosas, kebabs and chaps. This can be an activity taken by anyone Page 10

who wants to enjoy the atmosphere of this place. 9. Marketing products This is a place of business too. You can find a display of products for sale. Creative handmade products dominate the displays compare to other company products who also take the opportunity to the same. Such products can be jewellery, shoes, bags, books, clothes or food products. E.t.c.

THE REASONS BEHIND PAINFULLY MENSTRUAL CRUMPS.

There is a lot of concern when we feel pain in our bodies especially women in their menstrual period. This worry is genuine and deserves carefully observation. Such extreme JOY FEELINGS MAG!

pain is usually a sign that the body is need of urgent medical attention which women must adhere to.

Page 12

Painful menstrual periods

Painful menstrual periods are periods in which a woman has crampy lower abdominal pain, sharp or aching pain that comes and goes, or possibly back pain. Some pain during your period is normal, but a large amount of pain is not. The medical term for painful menstrual periods is dysmenorrhea. Considerations

JOY FEELINGS MAG!

Many women have painful periods. Sometimes, the pain makes it hard to do normal household, job, or school-related activities for a few days during each menstrual cycle. Painful menstruation is the leading cause of lost time from school and work among women in their teens and 20s. Causes Painful menstrual periods fall into two groups, depending on the cause: Page 13

Primary dysmenorrhea

Secondary dysmenorrhea Primary dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain that occurs around the time that menstrual periods first begin in otherwise healthy young women. In most cases, this pain not related to a specific problem with the uterus or other pelvic organs. Increased activity of the hormone prostaglandin, which is produced in the uterus, is thought to play a role in this condition. Secondary dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain that develops later in women

who have had normal periods. It is often related to problems in the uterus or other pelvic organs, such as:   

Endometriosis Fibroids Intrauterine device (IUD) made of copper Pelvic inflammatory disease Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) Sexually transmitted infection Stress and anxiety Home Care

Do light circular massage with your fingertips around your lower belly area.

Drink warm beverages.

Eat light but frequent meals.

Keep your legs raised while lying down, or lie

on your side with your knees bent. 

Practice relaxation techniques such as meditation or yoga.

Try over-the-counter antiinflammatory medicine, such as ibuprofen. Start taking it the day before your period is expected to start, and continue taking it regularly for the first few days of your period.

Try vitamin B6, calcium, and magnesium supplements, especially if your pain is from PMS.

Take warm showers or baths.

What to Expect at Your Office Visit Your doctor will examine you and ask questions about your medical history and symptoms, such as: 

How old were you when your periods started? Have they always been painful? If not, when did the pain begin?

When in your menstrual cycle do you experience the pain?

What have you done to try to relieve the discomfort? How effective was it?

Is the pain sharp, dull, intermittent, constant, aching, or cramping?

Does anything make the pain worse?

Are you sexually active?

Do you have any other symptoms?

Do you use birth control? What type?

 

Waiting 1 year after it was placed. Painful periods go away in many women during this time.

Removing the IUD and using other types of birth control.

Changing to a different type of IUD that contains progesterone, which usually makes menstrual periods lighter and less painful.

Laparoscopy Ultrasound Treatment depends on what is causing your pain. Your health care provider may prescribe birth control pills to relieve menstrual pain. If you do not need them for birth control, you can stop using the pills after 6 to 12 months. Many women continue to have symptom relief even after stopping the medication.

Surgery may be needed if other treatments do not help your pain. Surgery may be done to remove endometriosis, cysts, fibroids, scar tissue, or your uterus (hysterectomy).

Your doctor may prescribe prescription pain medications. For pain caused by an IUD, your doctor may recommend: JOY FEELINGS MAG!

10 STEPS TO OVERCOMING AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP BY ARLIN CUNCIC, STUDIOD

Identify the Relationship as Abusive Dugan and Hock suggest that not all victims of abuse will be immediately comfortable identifying the relationship as actually abusive. Abusive relationships can involve physical, emotional or sexual abuse. Victims of emotional abuse may be most susceptible to minimizing the extent of abuse in the relationship. Emotionally abusive partners use fear or shame to manipulate and systematically control the thoughts, feelings and behaviors of their victims.

JOY FEELINGS MAG!

Move Past Love You still may have lingering feelings of love for your abuser, according to Dugan and Hock. Despite the abusive nature of the relationship, these feelings are normal. You might wonder how you could have loved someone or -- how you can continue to love someone -- who treats you badly. Likely, your partner played a prominent role in your life for a long time. Understand that your feelings are normal, but that you don't have to dwell on them.

Page 20

Overcoming Grief In addition to having feelings of love that continue to linger, you may feel intense sadness, despair and grief. Although a dysfunctional relationship is ending, the fact that it is a relationship makes you sad. When you

let go of your partner, you may have lost many of your hopes and dreams. If grief is overwhelming and interferes with daily functioning, consider consulting with a mental health professional. Emotional Reactions

Dugan and Hock note that in addition to grief, you may be overcome with other emotions such as anger or guilt. Living in

an abusive relationship may have left you hypervigilant to threats. The end of the abusive relationship has likely left

you with many raw emotions and open wounds. Other People In addition to the immediate concerns of the abusive relationship you may also find yourself managing other significant relationships in your life. Dugan and Hock note that not everyone will be supportive -- and some may even diminish the abuse or blame you. In the "Psych Central" article "In an Emotionally Abusive Relationship? 5 Steps to Take," psychotherapist Julie Orlov advocates that you reconnect with people who can offer you love and support to help you through this difficult time. Practical Considerations If you were married to your abuser or you have JOY FEELINGS MAG!

children together, you may need to separate your financial affairs and divorce. Unfortunately, no quick solution to these problems exists; simply, you need to deal with them, often via accountants and legal professionals. Rebuild Your Power In the "Psychology Today" article, "Emotional Abuse (Overcoming Victim Identity)," family violence consultant Steven Stosny recommends that you reclaim your personal power and once again finding your sense of self. This may include reconnecting with your talents, strengths, abilities and skills, as well as realigning with your values and goals in life. Page 22

Resist Going Back At some point, you may wish to go back to your abuser. You may hope that things will be different or you may feel torn because of the lingering feelings that you harbor. Stosny recommends that you become compassionate with yourself and your exspouse. Doing so ensures that you will only want the best for both of you -- not an abusive relationship. If you do return to the relationship, you need to be powerful and strong enough to walk away at the first sign of abuse. Manage Communication If you have children with your abuser, you will need to continue to communicate. Take steps to manage this person in your life via third parties JOY FEELINGS MAG!

and keep conversations short, and keep all documents and records of your interactions. If abusive patterns emerge -even in these limitedcontact scenarios -communicate that you will not tolerate destructive conversation. Be Open to Love Again After an abusive relationship, life can leave you with raw feelings. If you are having trouble coping with the aftermath of abuse to the extent that it is interfering with future relationships, a mental health professional may be able to help you open up to the possibility that love may someday happen for you.

WHY SOME MEN WILL DATE FOREVER AND NEVER COMMIT.

Why some guys can't commit We all either know – or have dated – that great guy who just can't (or won't) settle down. He's charismatic, good looking and has a great sense of humor, so what's the problem? We've looked long and hard at the many reasons guys like him have remained unattached and have come up with a few worth mentioning. Here we look at some of the biggest reasons guys JOY FEELINGS MAG!

don't – or won't – settle down.

They're too careeroriented It's frustrating to see perfectly dateable guys pass up opportunity after opportunity to lock down a great girl. We gals can't (and won't) wait forever, you know. Whether you've had to break it off with the guy who just wouldn't move the relationship Page 24

forward or you've watched some of your male BFFs cut things off with great girls who wanted them to settle down, some guys will forever put their career first. In this case, it's really not you, it's them. They can't quite offer the full emotional support to anyone they care about because the job always comes first. You can try to change him, but in the end, you'll just end up playing second fiddle to his career. They're lifelong players Some guys will never be able to settle down because they don't want to miss out on the next potential conquest. If you've had the

JOY FEELINGS MAG!

(dis)pleasure of being just another notch on some guy's belt, than you know what we mean. You may have felt something more for him, and while he did have fun with you, he was always on the lookout for the next chase. Guys like this are immune to love. They close themselves off to real emotion connections and instead focus only on the physical. It's too bad because so many of them are sweet guys who really do mean well, but they just can't seem to give up on the game. They're scared of commitment

Page 25

We're not sure why the idea of commitment strikes fear in the hearts of so many guys, but there are men out there who just can't wrap their heads around the idea of commitment. As soon as they feel like things are getting too serious and that whomever they're with is itching for more (marriage, moving in together), they run. Whether their fear stems from not wanting to be tied down, worried that they haven't been with enough women or unsure about where they see their future, some men can't

commit even if they seem to genuinely care for the woman they're with. So no matter how you look at it, the commitment-phobic guy isn't going to be settling down any time soon. They haven't found The One Even if you've watched several of your guy friends walk away from women you were convinced were perfect for them, the relationship might not have been quite so ideal from the inside. That's not to say there wasn't love and happiness, but maybe

things just looked rosier from the outside looking in. While not as common as being afraid to commit or unable to stop sleeping around, some guys haven't settled down yet because they just haven't found The One. So the next time you meet a cute, slightly older guy at a party or bar

and he's yet to settle down into something more than casual, it could simply be that he's still waiting for the perfect partner.

Sex in public may be a common sexual fantasy but it arouses more than sexual excitement in both the public and the criminal justice system. In fact when you begin to research sex in public

you’ll find that most of what is written is about stopping certain people from having certain kinds of sex in public. And yet when we talk about it in public we often talk about

JOY FEELINGS MAG!

WHY SEX IN PUBLIC? A FEW TIPS AND THE REASONS WHY

Page 27

it as if everyone does it for the same reason. I think particularly if you’re someone who has a problem with others having sex in public (a completely legitimate position) it behooves you to acknowledge that people have sex in public for different reasons. I can think of at least five.

Next, there are those who are specifically aroused by the idea of getting caught doing something “wrong”. There may be some who are turned on by getting caught, but for most it’s JOY FEELINGS MAG!

First, there are people who are turned on by the idea of having sex in a public place where they could be observed. For some people being seen isn’t the important part, it’s just the possibility of being seen. For others it may specifically be the knowledge that a stranger is watching them have sex that turns them on.

the danger or again the possibility that’s fuels the arousal. For these folks sex in public is clearly seen as something naughty or wrong, and that’s what makes it so much fun. Page 28

A third reason people like having sex in public is simply because they like sex outdoors. Other people seeing them may have nothing to do with it. If these people have private outdoor space they’ll use that, but particularly if you live in a city, you may not have any outdoor space that is your own private property. This leaves you with no choice but to have sex in public if you want to have sex outdoors.

of their own, but aren’t able to have the kind of sex they want to have at home. Whether this is a different kind of sex, or sex with a different person than the one at home, some people have no space but a public one to meet the people they want to have sex with and have the sex they want. These people, along with the next group, are arguably at the greatest risk of harm from having sex in public.

There are also people who may have private property

JOY FEELINGS MAG!

Page 29

Finally, there are people who have no home or private space at all. If you’re living on the street, using shelters, or in an institutional setting where you don’t have a room of your own, the reality is that you’re only option is to have sex in public. When you consider that they have no other options you can see how ludicrous it is to penalize someone from having sex “in public” when they are expected to live their entire lives in public. This

is another group most penalized for sex in public and also the group of people with the fewest options.

HOW TO HAVE SEX OUTSIDE & MAKE IT INCREDIBLE

If you’ve ever had sex outside, you probably remember the experience because it was adventurous, exciting and different from the same old bedroom sex. It’s kind of like eating at a restaurant versus eating at home. It’s just fun to get out and try something new, and having sex outside can provide that. ng playful is an important part of having a good sexual relationship. Doing something, such as having outdoor sex, when you know you really shouldn’t be doing that, can make the experience more fun. That’s why it should

definitely be on your sexual bucket list. You don’t even have to do anything drastically different when having sex outside. Just changing the location to having sex outdoors makes all the difference, but you can make it into a game, too. If you or your man feel a bit inhibited, set the mood, perhaps with a romantic picnic. Choose a place that you know offers some secluded spots, pack some food and some beer or wine to set the mood. WARNING: DON’T BREAK THE LAW The thrill of knowing you’re doing something you’re really not

supposed to be doing along with the fear of being caught makes outdoor sex more exciting. But understand the possible consequences of having sex outdoors first before having it. Before you plan your next outdoor sexcapade, please heed this warning because it’s important: Public sex in the U.S. is a misdemeanor that carries a possible prison sentence of up to one year and a fine of up to $1,000. This varies by state. You will probably be in violation of one or more crimes if you are caught having sex outdoors. This also varies from state to state. JOY FEELINGS MAG!

The part of the law you would probably be violating in particular is exposure of private parts. Genitals and breasts are included here. If caught baring yours, you could be charged with indecent exposure. Another charge in certain states is committing a lewd act in public. So, even if you manage to have sex covered up, you could still be charged with engaging in lewd behavior in public. And if you are caught and charged with indecent exposure or committing a lewd act, other charges could be tacked on, depending on the state in which you Page 32

live. For example, some states make adultery (when one or both of you are married to someone else) a crime. Some states say that sex between unmarried people is a crime. The point is to be smart about your outside sex location. Choose a spot where no one is likely to see you. If no one sees you, you won’t be charged with a crime. For example, if you want car sex, park in a secluded spot at night versus a busy parking lot midday. Oh, and oral sex and manual count as sex for these purposes, not just penetrative sex.

JOY FEELINGS MAG!

THE DIFFERENT LOCATIONS Different locations can help set the mood, and different locations offer varying benefits. Try one, or try them all! If you’re not satisfied with this list, check out this article featuring even more sexy places to get down and dirty. If you want to build sexual tension, keep him thinking about you and turn him on. Deserted beach: What can be more romantic than having sex on a deserted beach? If it’s during the day, you can feel the warmth of the sun on your body as you listen to the soothing ocean waves crashing along the shoreline. Page 33

Pick a secluded spot in a cove somewhere for this one. Or wait until nighttime while taking a romantic moonlit stroll.

tree: Lean against the trunk, facing him. Wrap one leg around his waist as he holds the tree for balance.

Plan your sex position as well. Missionary position with his naked butt in the air might alert someone of what you’re doing. But if you sit on top of him with a towel draped around you, no one should be the wiser.

Be careful where you choose to have sex while out in the wilderness. You still want to remain discreet. If you choose to have sex in your tent at a campground with others around, although no one might see you, you can bet they can hear you, so nix the sound effects and save the dirty talk for later.

The woods: If you and your honey share the love of the great outdoors and have fun camping in the woods, you naturally will want to have sex in your fave spot. You can even make some good use from a JOY FEELINGS MAG!

The top of a hill: After you and your man make that 5-mile hike, you might want to reward yourselves.

Page 34

Wait until you reach the top of that hill, and then scope out a private place as opposed to having sex along the way. Just because the place on the trail seems deserted now, chances are that some jogger will come by from out of nowhere, or even worse, a park ranger. Awkward. Under the stars: Find a place that allows you a good view of the stars, one away from all the bright lights of the city. The bed of a truck works well for this. Just the thought of being outside can be enough to get your heart racing. The roof: Thanks to Hollywood, we know there aren’t many things better than a romantic, JOY FEELINGS MAG!

candlelit dinner on a rooftop. Once you’re in the mood, rooftop sex is a no brainer. Tip: Rooftop sex works best on a building with a flat roof. The hood of your car: You might have had sex in the car before. Now you should try it on the car. Try doggie style sex. You lean over the hood of the car while he enters you from behind. In the rain: Don’t let a little rain stop you. In fact, you might have an even better time during a spring or summer shower. Any deserted area: No matter where you choose to have sex Page 35

outside, you’ll have a different experience than you do inside at home. Your senses are awakened by the different smells, such as grass or sea air. Your skin also appreciates the fresh breeze. If the warm sun is heating your body, you naturally relax and want to enjoy some lazy lovemaking.

(if you aren’t sure) before you go out so you can avoid it. Your tender parts will thank you. Hint: leaves of three signal poison ivy.

PROS AND CONS OF OUTDOOR SEX

You definitely need to be prepared to have outside sex. Sand in your vagina doesn’t exactly feel good. A giant towel or blanket is necessary for having sex on the beach. The woods can land you in some poison ivy if you’re not careful. Study what it looks like JOY FEELINGS MAG!

When you plan to have rooftop sex, be sure you bring a padded mat, like a yoga mat. Roofs often have gravel tops, after all.

Having sex outside should definitely be on your list of experiences to have, but it does come with its pros and cons. Pros: 

You’ll have a hot and memorable experience with your Page 36

guy. Kink in public won’t soon be forgotten! It’s hot because you’re doing something naughty and might be caught. When you and your man think about the outdoor rendezvous you had, it can lead to another exciting adventure.

Cons: 

It’s not as comfortable as on your bed. You could wind up with a cramp in your leg, a bruise or even poison ivy. You might be caught by people you know, which would definitely not be fun.

JOY FEELINGS MAG!

Condoms, lube, blankets or other essentials might not be on hand.

Sex outdoors might not be your favorite thing to do, but it can by worth trying at least once. It will evoke memories between you and your sweetie if nothing else.

6 ULTIMATE TIPS FOR HAVING SEX OUTDOORS BECAUSE YOU NEED SOMETHING WARM AND FUN TO THINK ABOUT RIGHT NOW If you've never had sex outdoors, I sincerely suggest trying it. It might Page 37

not be for everyone, but it can make a vacation or even a weekend picnic in the park extra memorable. And it's all about the memories, right? Animals do it all the time! From what I can tell about cavemen, they probably didn't mind a romp in the woods either. And if it's good enough for animals and cavemen, my logic is that it must be "natural". Communing with another body while communing with nature is about as primal as you can get. And naughty. It's certainly very, very naughty (said with a British accent). Even though the weather is getting cold right now, this is actually the perfect time to be thinking of outdoor sex—it'll give you something nice to look forward to for spring, with JOY FEELINGS MAG!

plenty of time to plan romp-friendly getaways. There is no one outdoorsy location that is better than another for sexy times. One of the hottest things you can do is have sex in a naturally occurring body of water. Don't ask me why, but oceans and lakes are natural aphrodisiacs; Suddenly you're Bo Derek and everything feels like you're in a perfectly-lit romance movie (even if you do have sand up your butt). But it's just as fun to find yourself humping behind a tree or on a rock. No matter where you get your bone on, you'll suddenly become Brooke Shields in Blue Lagoon, but an adult and not a teenager, which is so much better. Outside is simply sexy, and while you probably don't want to Page 38

be doing it in the middle or a snow drift (or maybe you do? I don't know, I've never tried it), there are ways to maximize your outdoor sexing experience to get the most bang for your...bang. Behold: 1. WAIT UNTIL IT'S A NICE DAY Like I said, I've never had sex in a pile of snow. It could be invigorating for all I know. But if you're new to having sex outside, I'd suggest waiting for a warm day. There's already a lot to contend with in the great outdoors, you don't want to add something like Lost-style torrential rain or whiplash winds to the mix. It doesn't need to be warm necessarily, but be sure it's at least calm

JOY FEELINGS MAG!

outside before you start your sexual expedition. 2. FIND A SECLUDED SPACE Being that you're outside, it's likely you're in a place that's accessible to other people. DON'T become a registered sex offender over this. It's not worth it. DO find a spot that's off the beaten path, or at least go behind a bush, and preferably as far as possible from any children who might be playing in the area. 3. IGNORE BUGS This is one of those times you're going to have to put your fear of insects aside. If there's something creepy crawling on your hand, let it. You're boning. Shrieking and suddenly Page 39

jumping up and down while violently brushing your body down is an instant mood killer. Be brave, and remember: sex is better than freaking out over a tiny bug. 4. DO IT STANDING When you're outside, chances are the ground is going to be covered in sand/mud/dirt/crap/bugs. The best way to avoid having all these things go inside your butt hole, staining your clothes, or giving you a nasty rash (and definitely killing the mood) is to do it standing up. That way, you get to have all the benefit of sex in nature while have to touch as little actual nature as possible. It leaves significantly less of a margin for JOY FEELINGS MAG!

injury/bites/poisoning/dirt ying, etc. 5. HAVE AN EXIT STRATEGY This is two-fold: The first part is knowing where you're going to escape to if you're busted—a getaway plan. The second part is having a condom/disposing of it in an environmentallyfriendly manner or, if you're at the raw dogging stage of your relationship, being able to clean up and not walking out of the woods with cum on your clothes/hair. The trees are shaming you. 6. EMBRACE THE MOMENT Don't be a little bitch about this—if you're going to have sex Page 40

outside, go for it. Don't be precious or scared. That's going to make it more onerous than fun. And this is meant to be fun! Get naked! Be naked outside! Love the one you're with, honey! If you're committing to having sex outside then you're making a tacit

commitment to throwing away your inhibitions so throw them. Throw them far, far off into the horizon. You can collect them when you're done. They'll be right over there next your panties.

Considering Benedict Cumberbatch’s intense schedule of film, theatre and TV roles, you’d think his time would be pretty tight by now. But as it turns out, while filming new Marvel superhero movie Doctor Strange the actor managed to squeeze in an entirely separate second role alongside the titular sorcerer – and nobody noticed, until now. JOY FEELINGS MAG!

You see, while developing the film’s ultimate villain Dormammu (an extradimensional energy being) director Scott Derrickson realised that there was only one person to bring him to life – the guy he already had on set in a big cape who had plenty of experience with motion capture. "We knew [Dormmamu] was an all CG character, Page 46

but as we were in production Benedict brought it up as an idea, Derrickson told IGN. "He said, 'What would you think about me doing it?' I said, 'Let me think about it, you know.'" "It's an interesting idea, because I did fancy the idea that as this otherdimensional being he's not moving through the Dark Dimension, with a countenance, with eyes and a face, eyes and a mouth, and a human visage – why would he? He takes that form on to communicate with Strange."
