My strongest impressions in the last six months come from my travels - meeting members and leaders of our organisation from every region. Generation Bold is also the most purposeful generation of AIESECers. When I am stopped to talk about how we can improve the development of young people who are on internships it makes me very proud to represent this network.

Our generation is also restless, however - eager to see the growth and impact that 2015 calls for. In 2013 more than 100,000 volunteer team members and leaders delivered more than 30,000 internship experiences. We over-achieved our GCDP target and are starting to see growth in underlying indicators on GIP.
 
 Yet we know that we have to take a bold stand. If we want to achieve the scale and impact AIESEC 2015 calls for, our generation will have to make a choice. 1948

As we close 2013 we must stop for a minute and celebrate.

AIESEC delivered 23,000 GCDP experiences last year, meaning every 20 minutes a young person somewhere around the world is starting a volunteer experience with AIESEC. A programme that didn’t exist a decade ago is now changing the lives of tens of thousands of youth. As a global organisation we achieved our 2013 target in the programme. We celebrate all those who worked with us to make it happen. And in 2014, we do it again. And again. 1948

We also acknowledge that our GIP programme did not grow in 2013 (5,300 realisations), despite growth in Raising and Matching. The organisation is facing large scale supply and demand challenges on the programme and our ability to overcome them together is the key to breaking through our limits. !
We do see more entities starting to focus on the programme, however, we still expect more entities to focus specifically on the programme. 1948

The quarter saw AIESEC International choose a vendor for a future open-source Global Information System.

We continued developing and deploying the Opportunity Portal and Online Registration System and had more than 90,000 visits and 30,000 (!) sign ups in the quarter from youth looking to take our programmes.

I had the privilege to represent AIESEC for the second year running at the World Economic Forum Meeting on the Gobal Agenda in Abu Dhabi, working on the New Models of Leadership Council.

We also launched refreshed Inner and Outer Journey elements to make it simple for MCs and LCs to understand how to practically improve the leadership development in the experiences we are delivering. 1948

Overall AIESEC International spent most of the quarter travelling in the network to engage with support the operations of MCs and LCs.
