AD3 - Third year Interstellar spaceport - and the reuse of space debris The stars have always been a key source of navigation and trade, from the old clipper ships in Greenwich to navigation of the atmosphere with satellite communication. I studied the potential limitations of space trade and exploration due to the rising levels in space debris. It is predicted that due to future levels of commercialized space flight the levels of hazardous waste left in orbit will increase so much that travel is limited. By re-appropriating the space debris itself I propose a constantly changing and adjusting spaceport to reinstate the future trade of the world. 2

AD2.1 - Second year part 1 Obstruction: dereliction and the subtle reclaim of a broken city OSB board covers broken cities and homogenizes dereliction. By analyzing the material of Osb I proposed a re-appropriation to change the idea of how we see the city. To inhabit the dilapidated buildings with art and eventually reviving a culture that was once lost. 16

AD2.2 - Second year part 2 Blackpool : Nostalgia, addiction and the anti monument. Blackpool and the anti monument. The idea of a monument long outlives the individual generations it represents. The ideas left behind are often nostalgic to times gone by or a particular regime. Beneath the idealized culture of Blackpool there has always been an underground trade. By representing this trade as an anti monument there could be a new understanding of the trades deemed seedy and dangerous. By designing a heroin factory I intended to take the idea of crime away from drug use and instead seek to purify dosage and regulate addicts. 19

AD2.2 Blackpool : Nostalgia, addiction and the anti monument. By exploring the idea of the monument and the ideals they carry forward I looked at the notion of a monument to represent a community shunned throughout time. A towering Heroin factory designed to separate crime from addiction and slowly eradicating dangers of illegal drug use. 18
