HOW MIGHT WE? Create comfortable interactions between resident and visitors? Enable the residents to reminisce the past Ubin while making the visitors more aware of its history and culture?
DESIGN PROPOSAL To design an integrated playground and seating area for adults and children alike based on the story of the elephant who got lost in Ubin in 1991. The slide, balance beam and stepping logs tells the tale of the elephant as it swum to Ubin to the frantuc journey of the residents as they try to capture the elephant

SANCTUARY A haven space for bibliophiles
1ST FLOOR PLAN BEDROOM : Little light allowed in creates a cosy, private space COMMON AREA : A lot of windows, an airy space that can still be private A hotel room that embodies the concept of bibliophiles being able to have different per- BALCONY : A free space exposed to the external spectives and views, the room has 3 areas that uses light and space to provide different yet comfortable environment for reading, providing a sanctuary for bibliophiles The room transitions from a tight cosy space to a common space with high ceilings to a space exposed to the natural surroundings

An Art hotel at the heritage rich Boat Quay A hotel for people in creative industries, a space where they can be inspired and be able to invigorate their artistry. The hotel, with its distinct wooden louvres, houses an art gallery, which showcases local artists and a rooftop area acting as an integrated space for showcasing art and socialising. There is also an artist in residence programme, where guests can partake in workshops and classes conducted by variuous local artists
Rooftop acting as an integrated space: a garden, bar and an art exhibition space Internal Courtyards provides a green view and ample sunlight for inward facing rooms
