Executive Summary Autumn is a time of change, and with both the Cafeteria and Bed Tower projects in the drywall phase, change is exactly what we are seeing. It is one of the most exciting times throughout the course of a project - when things start to take shape. Individual studs become walls, walls become rooms, and the project morphs from an idea to a place. In the Bed Tower, crews have been busy completing their rough-ins and hanging drywall. While 7S is topped out with board in order to build bulkheads, full walls on 8S are being sheeted. Drywall finishers are following closely behind the hanging crews, moving through room after room in a circular fashion. The Cafeteria project is also being fitted with drywall. Unique to this space are the many decorative radius bulkheads. A great deal of skill is needed to frame and drywall these
massive features. Even more impressive as they are further taped and finished, these bulkheads will serve as one of the many striking custom details seen throughout the space. On a similar yet casual note, a team of impressive individuals celebrated the end of a hard summer’s work with a lunch cook-out. Subcontractors, hospital staff, architects and owner’s reps all came to enjoy a meal with one another. On behalf of E&V, we would like to thank everyone for their positive relationships and perservering efforts as we continue through the projects. Many thanks to all! Joe Novakoski, P.E., LEED A.P. Vice President / Senior PM
SUBCONTRACTOR
SPOTLIGHT We would like to thank River City Mechanical for their expertise and dedication to the many intricate parts of the Cafeteria project. Between existing conditions, food service equipment, large mechanical units and limited space, their hard work has been an integral part of bringing this infrastructure together.

Drywall The Look Ahead We will continue to install mechanicals in the 7S Bedtower, and we will finish up our last set of room shutdowns on the PMU. Drywall topout will progress on 7S, allowing us to build bulkheads. On 8S, we will finish drywall in preparation for paint, wall protection and casework.
