PROJECT MANAGEMENT UPDATE
Anthony Davis Project Manager
Another month has flown by as we find ourselves in the midst of the holiday season! We made a lot of progress in the month of November, and the south wing is starting to take shape. The MEP rough-ins and wall board installation was finished so the painters could prime and paint the first coat. Wall coverings, hand & bump rails, ceilings and MEP finishes are in-progress on the first and second floors. Doors and hardware are being installed, millwork is in progress and flooring is starting to go down on the second floor. The painters will move into the dining room this week, and they will be followed by the flooring contractor as we push to stay on schedule. We have one more month to finish up Phase 4 and transition into the final phase of the renovation project. As always, we want to thank the trade contractors for their hard work, and all the residents and staff for their continued patience and support throughout the project. We will do everything we can to make this final phase transition as smooth as possible.

Building Together | Construction Update Newsletter UMRC - Chelsea, MI - November 2019 KRESGE RENOVATIONS | UP NEXT The holiday season has been very busy, and we will be moving into the 5th and final phase before we know it. With the holidays upon us, we will have a little bit of downtime in between phases which will allow our trade contractors to refresh and come back ready to push through phase 5 and close out this project. Phase 5 offers a handful of new opportunities for everyone working on the project. What is unique about Phase 5 is that this phase will not feature any resident room renovations, but it will rather focus more on nursing, dining and office space renovations. Our construction team is looking forward to working on and completing Phase 5 of this project.
For the team spotlight for the month of November we chose to highlight Allied Electric. Allied has been a pleasure to work alongside during this project. Alex and Garrett (pictured below) do a great job of looking ahead and coordinating with the other trades to be efficient while at the same time producing quality work. Garrett and Alex have been out at UMRC since the start of the project and we can’t thank them enough for the time they have spent out here on this project. We look forward to working with them through Phase 5.
