Siding removal and new window installation
PM Update Hello All, We’ve just finished what has gone on record as the wettest October since 1954, (which just so happens to be the year I was born). The National Weather Service Brad Frey recorded 8.44 and even now, a week into November, the rain has not slowed down. bradf@elzinga-volkers.com Given the clay soils we have onsite, the high moisture and onset of winter provides several challenges. The project team is investigating alternatives to keep progress moving forward. Surveys are being completed to determine two items; one, the depth of fill remaining that still needs to be placed prior to the building pad, and two, the incomplete roadways around the building. After that information is known the team will make recommendations to Siliconature on how to proceed. While we struggle onsite, progress continues on completing the design of the building and the internal systems. We anticipate completing this process later in November. Periodic team design coordination meetings are taking place and progress drawing sets are being supplied to Siliconature for review. Once the Construction Documents are complete, the process of bidding out all aspects of the project not already under contract will begin with an anticipated completion of the Bidding & Award process by mid-January. High-Visibility Clothing: The project uses large, heavy earthmoving equipment, which is loud and dangerous to those working and walking through the construction site. To reduce the chance of injury, all visitors and workers on the site are required to wear “high visibility clothing or vests. Workers also use special signals and safety precautions to communicate with and prevent hazards for the equipment operators.
