We, at Elzinga & Volkers, would like to introduce to you Nuts & Bolts, our regular construction newsletter. Over the next few months, this newsletter will be used to inform you on the current progress of your project and upcoming milestones for the construction team. We will periodically highlight team members and project partners. Current project photos will give you a peek inside the construction areas. Front of Dining – soon to have new mosaic tile and paint
Executive Summary Many projects, especially remodels, are not what they appear. Oftentimes, we run into unexpected challenges on the site - from a full-on remodel while the restaurant remains open, to only being approved to work during business hours (in order to not disturb families in the upstairs condos). However, we have compiled a great group of subcontractors that have been able to adjust and modify their scopes and schedules for the success of the this project. High Point Electric, Dynamic Wood Solutions and Advanced Maintenance have all brought their talents to bare on this project. Look Ahead With four out of the five phases completed, we are now working on the bar area. This is certainly the most difficult and time-sensitive phase. Each day the bar is down for renovations, Mitchell’s loses thousands of dollars in liquor sales. Communication and coordination between construction and operations is vital to make this transition a success. We are about 50% complete with the bar and on schedule to hit our completion date!
