Executive Summary
New Facility Rendering
Building through the Michigan winter is never an easy task. Thanks to the hard work of all our trade contractors we were able to stay on schedule. It feels like just yesterday that Dan and I were going over the coordination of snow removal and roof installation, and now we are installing casework and starting interior finishes. Over the next month we will be finishing up the project. From asphalt to final paint it will be a very busy site. The final few weeks will consist of flooring, wall protection, casework and all the MEP finishes. A site can change dramatically from day-to-day; one day it’s primer and cement floor, the next we have our wall covering installed and the flooring complete. All of this progress makes the project move fast and you have a front row seat to all of it! Brad Giha, Project Manager bradg@elzinga-volkers.com

SPOTLIGHT ON SAFETY Just because the project is wrapping up doesn’t mean that we let up on our site safety requirements. Hard hats and safety glasses should still be worn at all times, and high visibility clothing should be worn outside. Even in these final stages, accidents can happen. We have had zero accidents on this project so far, and we don’t want our first one now!

The Look Ahead
The next four weeks will be very exciting. We will be completing both the interior and exterior work onsite. On the interior, we are currently working on casework and wall protection along with all the MEP finishes. On the exterior we are finishing up some of the decorative stone and getting a start on the landscaping. Next week we will start flooring and finish up the majority of the interior work, and the following week we will complete the concrete and paving. In just a few short weeks, the building will be ready for turn over! Dan Faulkner, Field Manager danf@elzinga-volkers.com
