one messa g e Una muchacha estaba en una sala de espera en un aeropuerto. Ella debía esperar por horas, decidió comprar un libro para matar el tiempo. También compro un paquete de galletas. Se sentó en un asiento en la sala VIP del aeropuerto para poder descansar y leer en paz. Al lado del asiento donde estaba la bolsa de galletas se sentó un hombre que abrió una revista y comenzó a leer. Cuando ella tomo la primera galleta, el hombre también tomo una. Ella se sintió indignada, pero no dijo nada. Apenas pensó: "pero, que descarado, si yo estuviese mas dispuesta la daría un golpe en el ojo para que nunca mas se le olvide". Cada vez que ella tomaba una galleta, el hombre también tomaba una. Aquello la dejaba tan indignada que no conseguía reaccionar. Cuando quedaba apenas una galleta, pensó: "ah... que será lo que este abusador va a hacer ahora?". Entonces el hombre dividió la ultima galleta por la mitad, dejando la otra mitad para ella. Ah!! aquello era demasiado! se puso a bufar de la rabia! Entonces cerro su libro y sus cosas y se dirigió al sitio de embarque. Cuando se sentó, confortablemente, en su asiento, ya en el interior del avión, miro dentro de la bolsa y para su sorpresa su paquete de galletas estaba allí... todavía intacto, cerradito!! Sintió tanta vergüenza. Solo entonces percibió lo equivocada que estaba, había olvidado que sus galletas estaban guardadas dentro de su bolsa!! El hombre había compartido sus galletas sin sentirse indignado, nervioso, consternado o alterado, mientras ella quedo muy trastornada, pensando que estaba compartiendo las de ella con él. Y ya no había mas tiempo para explicaciones... ni para pedir disculpas. Cuantas veces, en nuestras vidas, estamos comiendo las galletas de los demás, y no somos conscientes de ellos?. Antes de llegar a una conclusión... observa mejor!! Tal vez las cosas no sean exactamente como piensas, no pienses lo que no sabes acerca de las personas. +++ A girl was in a waiting room at an airport. Then the man divided the last cookie in half, leaving the other half for her. Ah !! this was too much! She began to snort of rage! Then he closed his book and his things and headed to the place of shipment. When she sat comfortably in her seat inside the plane, She looked in the bag and to her surprise her packet of cookies was there ... still intact, sealed!! She felt so ashamed. Only then she saw how wrong she was, she had forgotten that her cookies were kept inside her bag !! The man had shared his cookies without feeling angry, nervous, shocked or disturbed while she remained very upset, thinking she was sharing it with him. And there was no more time to explain ... nor to apologize. How many times in our lives, we are eating cookies from others, and we are not aware of it?. Before reaching a conclusion ... observe better !! Maybe things are not exactly as you think, do not think what you do not know about people.

WHAT ARE TANTRUMS?

Young children have a hard time controlling their emotions. When they get frustrated or angry they cry, scream or throw strong kicks against the floor. This is a tantrum. These tantrums are a normal part of child development. They usually start between 12 and 18 months of age and worse between 2 and 3 years. Tantrums disappear when children learn to use words to communicate.

A los niños pequeños les es muy difícil controlar sus emociones. Cuando se sientes frustrados o furiosos, lloran, gritan o tiran patadas fuertes contra el piso. Esto es un berrinche. Estas rabietas son una parte normal del desarrollo del niño. Suelen comenzar entre los 12 y 18 meses de edad y empeoran entre los 2 y 3 años. Los berrinches van desapareciendo cuando los niños aprenden a usar mejor las palabras para comunicarse.

5 CO N S EJO S P A R A L O S BER R IN CHES        

Mantenga la calma. La ola gigantesca de emociones pasará. No se hunda en ella ni forme parte de la tormenta. Dele un abrazo al niño o cárguelo. A veces ayuda darles un abrazo apretado. Vaya a un lugar tranquilo. Cambie de habitación. Cambie de escenario. Salga del lugar si es posible. Ignore el berrinche pero no se aleje. Deje que se canse. Luego bríndele su apoyo. Cambie de actividad.

      

 Keep Calm. The tidal wave of emotions will pass. Do not sink into it or be apart of the storm. Give the child a hug or carry him/her. Sometimes it helps to give them a tight hug. Go to a quiet place. switch rooms. Change the scenery. Leave the area if possible. Ignore the tantrum but do not stray. Let them get tired. Then give your child support. Change the activity. Suggest something new.

WHAT IS "NORMAL?"     

Tantrums are common. They are a normal part of child development. Most children between 1 and 4 years have. Young children defy the rules again and again. Sharing is not easy. Young children need many fun activities to keep them busy and happy. Teach them to behave, talk and share. And goodbye tantrums !!

Pero su gran tamaño, no limitan su velocidad pues los tigres pueden alcanzar velocidades de hasta 90 km/h. Cristóbal Colón nació en Génova (Italia) en 1451. Sus padres fueron Doménico Colombo y Susana Fontanarrosa. En su juventud sintió afición por la vida marina y trabajó en la navegación mercante en el Mar Mediterráneo. En 1476 llegó al Portugal donde se casó con Felipa Muñiz y tuvo un hijo llamado Diego. En Portugal se incorporó a diversas expediciones por las costas occidentales de África. Por esos años concibió el proyecto de buscar una ruta marítima hacia la China y la India cruzando el Océano Atlántico, creyendo que era un "mar estrecho". Al no conseguir apoyo del rey Juan II de Portugal, se marchó a España. Al llegar a Córdoba conoció a Beatriz Enríquez de Arana, quien le dio un segundo hijo, Bartolomé. En 1492 consiguió la ayuda de la reina Isabel de Castilla. Después de firmar la Capitulación de Santa Fe (17 de abril de 1492) organizó su expedición en busca del Lejano Oriente navegando por Occidente. En su primer viaje llegó a la isla Guanahaní (12 de octubre de 1492) y la llamó San Salvador, exploró la isla de Cuba a la que nombró Juana, y llegó a la isla de Santo Domingo a la que bautizó como La Española. Retornó a España creyendo haber llegado a islas cercanas al continente asiático. Colón hizo tres expediciones más: en su segundo viaje exploró las Pequeñas Antillas, Puerto Rico y Jamaica; en el tercero descubrió la isla Trinidad y la desembocadura del río Orinoco; en el cuarto conoció las costas de América Central. Hasta el fin de sus días Cristóbal Colón insistió en haber llegado a tierras del continente asiático. Murió en Valladolid el 20 de mayo de 1506, sin saber que había iniciado el Descubrimiento de América.

Iglesia El Rosario

(Costa Rica) Esta Iglesia ubicada en

Naranjo Costa Rica, es un temple católico llamado El Rosario, donde continúan las tradiciones cristianas, bella Iglesia humilde, bella y colorida. En la época Precolombina el territorio que actualmente corresponde al cantón de Naranjo, estuvo habitado por indígenas del llamado Reino Huetar de Occidente, que en los inicios de la conquista fue dominio del cacique Garavito. El primer colonizador que llegó a la región en 1833, fue don Judas Tadeo Sáenz; quien dos años después obtuvo título de propiedad de los terrenos que había presentado formal denuncio, en el sitio que él denominó Los Naranjos, en Poás, jurisdicción de Alajuela. Posteriormente, se construyó una ermita. En 1869 don Manuel Mora y Fernández donó dos manzanas de terreno, una para la construcción de la iglesia y la otra para una plaza pública.

Consejos para solicitar una visa a padres de familia

El proceso de solicitar visa a un padre de familia podría resultar costoso y frustrante, especialmente cuando la visa es negada después de haber esperado mucho tiempo. La información presentada aquí está basada en una experiencia personal, la cual espero pueda ayudar a las personas que estén pensando solicitar una visa para un ser querido. Es importante saber que las visas que otorga el consulado estadounidense están dividas en visas para inmigrantes y visas para no inmigrantes. Las visas para inmigrantes son otorgadas a personas que desean vivir permanentemente en los Estados Unidos. Las visas para no inmigrantes son otorgadas a personas que deseen vivir en los Estados Unidos temporalmente. El proceso para las visas para no inmigrantes es mucho más rápido y más fácil, puesto que las personas no tienen que pasar por el examen médico, el cual podría resultar costoso. En mi caso, decidí solicitar una visa de inmigrante para mi madre porque somos cinco hermanos viviendo en cuatro diferentes lugares y queríamos que compartiera tiempo con cada uno de nosotros. El proceso de llenar la solicitud lo hice yo mismo porque he vivido 28 años en los Estados Unidos y domino bien el inglés. El costo total de la solicitud fue de aproximadamente $800 y duré casi dos años en recibir una cita ante el consulado de Ciudad Juárez. El costo será el doble si el solicitante decide pedir a dos personas y así sucesivamente. Esto no incluye los servicios del abogado porque en mi caso no los necesité. Cuando finalmente se consigue la cita, es importante llegar a ciudad Juárez con dos días antes de la entrevista porque hay dos cosas importantes que se tienen que hacer: las huellas y el examen médico. La cita para las huellas y las fotos se hace, por lo menos, una semana antes por Internet. El examen médico no requiere de una cita porque existen tres clínicas muy cerca, las cuales compiten por ofrecer este servicio. El costo del examen médico es de aproximadamente $400. Todos estos servicios están junto a las oficinas del consulado estadounidense. Los hoteles también están localizados relativamente cerca a las oficinas del consulado. El costo del hotel más barato es de $58 dólares por noche, pero puede subir dependiendo de la demanda y del hotel. Existen también casas de hospedaje, las cuales son mucho más baratas en comparación con los hoteles. Estas casas ofrecen trasporte a las citas y algunas ofrecen las tres comidas. Los dueños de las casas de hospedaje son ciudadanos juarenses que conocen bastante bien el proceso de inmigración y muchos de ellos obtienen su sueldo semanal proveyendo este servicio. Las casas de hospedaje son sin lugar a duda una competencia para los hoteles. Yo y mi madre nos quedamos 6 días en una casa de hospedaje, la cual nos cobró $35 dólares por noche. Una de las razones por la cual nos quedamos seis días es porque mi madre de 70 años de edad no pasó el examen médico. De hecho, muchas personas de edad avanzada no pasan el examen de rayos X porque han sido expuestas al humo del cigarro o al humo de la leña. Mi madre había cocinado toda su vida con leña y su radiografía mostró manchas negras. Este día, en esta clínica, cerca a 30 personas adultas salieron con manchas negras en sus pulmones. A todas estas personas se les recomienda quedarse tres días para que provean flemas y de esta manera descartar cualquier enfermedad cancerosa o tuberculosa. The process of applying for a Visa for a parent can be very expensive and frustrating, especially when the Visa is denied after waiting a very long time. The information presented in this story is based on a personal experience; something I hope will help if you are thinking about applying for a Visa for one or both parents. It is important to know that there are two different types of Visas given by the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juarez; an Immigrant Visa and a Non-Immigrant Visa. The Visas for Immigrants are given to people who desire to live in the United States permanently. The Non-Immigrant Visas are given to people who desire to live in the United States on a temporary basis. The process for the Non-Immigrant Visas is faster, easier, and less expensive since there is no medical exam required for this application. In my own personal experience, I decided to apply for an Immigrant Visa for my mother because I have five brothers and sisters living in different parts of the U.S. and we wanted her to spend time with each one of us. I did the process of filling out the forms because I have lived in the U.S. for 28 years and I can speak and read English. The amount of money spent to apply for a Visa was approximately $800 and I waited nearly two years to receive an appointment in Ciudad Juarez. The cost would have been double if I would have applied for two people. Finally, when you are scheduled an appointment, it is important to arrive in Ciudad Juarez two days before to the actual appointment because there are two very important requirements that have to be met before the appointment. You will need fingerprints and a medical examination. The appointment for the fingerprints and the photographs are scheduled on the Internet one-week prior to the actual date of the appointment. The medical exam does not require an earlier appointment because there are three health clinics near the U.S. Consulate office competing for your business. The cost for a medical exam is approximately $400. All of these services are located near the U.S. Consulate offices. The hotels are also located relatively close to the consulate offices. The cost of the cheapest hotel will run you about $58 U.S. dollars per night, but the price can increase due to demand and the name and type of hotel you choose. You also have a choice between private homes that rent out their rooms and are by far a lot less expensive than hotel rooms. These private homes offer transportation to and from appointments and some even provide meals. The private room option is certainly in direct competition for the many hotels in Ciudad Juarez. Many people who are advanced in age do not pass the X-Ray for various reasons, but mainly due to second hand smoke or exposure to wood smoke. My mom spent her entire life cooking with wood, and her X-Ray’s showed dark spots on her lungs. On this day, about 30 adults were turned away due to black spots on their lungs. It is recommended that if dark spots are seen on your lungs, to stay an extra three consecutive days to have your saliva tested for tuberculosis. The persons whose lungs show abnormalities cannot enter the U.S., and the results of the saliva tests are communicated in two months by telephone. Many people who don’t pass the medical exam can very easily get depressed. The sadness and disappointment are noticeable on their faces when the results are negative. For those who do not pass their medical exams, the hopes and dreams clash with the impossibility of being with their children, who have invested considerable amount of time and money in applying for an Immigration Visa.
