one message Cierto día, Antonio, se encontró con mucho tráfico, y notó que un señor conducía apresuradamente, cortándole el paso a todo el que podía al tratar de abrirse paso entre los vehículos. Cuando se aproximó al automóvil de Antonio, se le atravesó de una manera tan brusca, que por poco ocurre una accidente. En ese momento, Antonio tuvo deseos de insultarlo e impedirle el paso, pero luego pensó: - ¡El pobre! Está tan nervioso y apurado...¡Sabrá Dios si tiene un problema serio y necesita llegar cuanto antes a su destino!.. Con estos pensamientos, decidió cederle el paso. Al llegar a casa, Antonio recibió la noticia de que su hijo de tres años había sufrido un grave accidente y había sido llevado al hospital por su esposa. Al llegar, al hospital, su esposa corrió a sus brazos y lo tranquilizó diciéndole. Gracias a Dios todo está bien. El médico llegó justo a tiempo para salvar la vida de nuestro hijo; ya está fuera de peligro. Aliviado, Antonio pidió hablar con el médico para agradecérselo. Cuál sería su sorpresa cuando vio que el médico era ese señor nervioso y apurado a quien le había cedido el paso una hora antes. El mundo necesita mas personas amables, serviciales y comprensivas, Aprendamos a aceptar distintos pensamientos o acciones, seamos más tolerantes, porque siempre existe un motivo. One day Antonio, found himself with a lot of traffic, and noticed that a man was driving hastily, cutting people off every time he saw a chance to break through the vehicles. When he approached Antonio car, he went through such a rough manner, that a crash almost occurred. At that time, Antonio had desires to insult and block his way, but then he thought -Poor him! He's so nervous and rushed… Only God knows if he has a serious problem and needs to reach his destination as soon as possible!.. With these thoughts, he decided to give way. When he got home, Antonio received the news that his three year old son had suffered a serious accident and had been taken to hospital by his wife. Arriving at the hospital, his wife ran into his arms reassuring him. Thank God all is well. The doctor arrived just in time to save the life of our son; he is now out of danger. Relieved, Antonio asked to speak with the doctor to thank him. What was to his surprise when he saw that the doctor was the nervous and rushed man who he had given way to in traffic over an hour earlier. The world needs more friendly, helpful and caring people, learn to accept different thoughts or actions, be more tolerant, because there is always a reason.

Historia del Día del Padre

Conmemorar el amor a los padres cada tercer domingo de Junio, aunque esta ahora tradición varia en la fecha en el mundo. Porque se a convertido en una fecha importante de reconocer el cariño y respeto que se tiene hacia la figura paterna en Calvin Coolidge la familia ya que para 1872-1933 celebrarlo por lo general se entrega un regalo, sin embargo esta festividad no tiene un origen comercial, no se creó simplemente para aumentar las ventas, como muchos piensan.

La verdad es que esta celebración tiene una h i s t o r i a d e agradecimiento y amor a un padre departe de su hija. Como nació el ‘Día del Padre‘ surge el 19 de junio de 1909 en Estados Unidos. Cuando una mujer llamada Sonora Smart Dodd quiso homenajear a su padre, Henry Jackson Smart. Un veterano de la guerra civil. Henry en viudo cuando su esposa (la madre de Sonora Smart Dodd) murió en el parto de su sexto hijo Henry Jackson se hizo cargo de sus seis hijos el los crio y educó en una granja rural en el estado de Washington. Sonora Smart se sentía muy orgullosa de Henry, su padre, al que consideraba todo un ejemplo a seguir. Así que propuso la fecha del nacimiento de su progenitor, el 19 de junio, para celebrar el Día del Padre. La idea de instituir un Día del Padre fue acogida con entusiasmo por muchas personas en diversos condados y ciudades. Pero fue sólo hasta 1924 cuando el presidente Calvin Coolidge apoyó la idea de establecer un día nacional del padre. En 1966 el presidente Lyndon Johnson firmó una proclamación que declaraba cada tercer domingo de junio como Día del Padre en América. En Estados Unidos, Oficialmente, la fiesta del día del padre es en agradecimiento por el cuidado, la educación, la crianza y el amor que el padre le regala al hijo entonces solo falta algo: ”FELIZ DIA DEL PADRE”.

in más remedio, él padecía de una desarticulación de palabras, seguía en el piso, quizá fue una desarticulación de memorias. En fin, desarticular siempre tenía el fin de separar dos o más huesos articulados entre si, todo tenía el fin de separar las piezas de una máquina o artefacto, todo tenía el fin de desorganizar, descomponer, desconcertar, todo tenía el fin de desorganizar una conspiración, una pandilla de malhechores u otra confabulación, deteniendo a los individuos que la forman o a los principales de ellos. ¿Y si fueron sus propias palabras que llegaron a desarticular su memoria? ¿quizá fue su memoria que terminó por desarticular sus palabras? El paciente sin sus palabras ni su memoria dejaba de ser paciente. Quería olvidar, pronto. El paciente había seguido las instrucciones del médico pero jamás se había imaginado que en el proceso todo le resultaría tan difícil, tan doloroso, tan inconveniente. Pues, el paciente sólo se imaginaba el después de su estado sin memoria, el después de los recuerdos, el después de la última cita al doctor. Quería eliminar su dolor, lo no placentero. En ese proceso de archivar su pasado de bajar y subir recuerdos a su memoria, el borrarlo todo le resultó más complicado. Pues jamás se imaginó que tendría que ubicar los hechos, jamás se imaginó que habría que indicarle al doctor, esto aquí me duele, esto acá también. En el fondo, el paciente siempre hubiese querido escuchar que el doctor le dijera creo que esto aquí está sanando, creo que ya no te debe de doler. Pero todo no fue así. Todo fue distinto. Todo fue como nunca se lo imaginó. Todo fue como nadie le había dicho. Todo tiene precio. El paciente pensó sin escribirlo, “Como un jetlag como un mareo no pasajero en mi memoria, retrocedo a esto o aquello, aquí muy dentro, muy dentro. Me duele, esto muy dentro que no es mi abdomen, que no es mi brazo que no es mi cráneo que no es mi diafragma que no es mi espalda que no es mi falange que no es mi ganglio que no es mi hígado que no es mi ingle que no es mi joroba que no es mi glándula Krause que no es mi labio que no es mi metacarpo que no es mi nuca que no es mi ojo que no es mi pulmón que no es mi quijada que no es mi rótula que no es mi sien que no es mi tórax que no es mi uretra que no es mi vena que no es mi withe que no es mi yeyuno, todo eso que no es mi cuerpo duele y mucho. Quiero que todo deje de ser lo que es y que vuelva a lo que alguna vez fue…antes del dolor. Maldito doctor, maldito por hacerme recordar, por recetarme la escritura por hacerme escribirlo todo y forzarme a ponerlo frente a mí, por qué me hace darle visibilidad a este dolor, porque me hace que haga oraciones de todo esto. Por un lado la oración es la obra de elocuencia, razonamiento pronunciado en público a fin de persuadir a los oyentes o mover su ánimo. Pero por otro lado es la súplica, deprecación, ruego que se hace a Dios o a los santos, elevación de la mente a Dios para alabarlo o pedirle mercedes. Oraré sin saber la diferencia entre sus definiciones… oraré como si nadie fuera a leerlo como sin nadie fuera a escucharlo, pero oraré consiente de que será necesario que todo esto sea leído, será necesario que el doctor lo entienda todo para recibir su merced todo para recibir su tratamiento para poder sanar este dolor. They teach me or remind me of the things that were once important to me or of things that were dire, unresolved or difficult. In about 2007, I wrote the following, not sure why nor how, but I did. It reads: “At times, I feel as if I am digging and digging by the shore looking for a treasure while, the strong current of the waves push the wet moist sand back in the hole I dig in, searching. I keep digging and digging, continuing the same monotonous motion like the hamster in the spinning wheel. We are both aware of the arbitrary activity, but continue performing it, to kill time instead of our self from the monotony. Perhaps, I am looking for this treasure in the wrong spot. Should I move to the south? Jump on a boat, and let the ocean push me, and take me away until it stops, stopping me, telling me where I need to dive, down, into, and dig for the treasure. Maybe, I need to move my search to where I know the treasure can be? Why I am afraid of what the sea has for me? Am I afraid of getting wet, Afraid of tasting the salty water that can pull me down? Until, I drown. Maybe, I don’t want to search, find, and open this treasure chest. Am I afraid I might drown in this search? Afraid I might find the treasure full of salty disappointment or sadness? Drowning my eyes with this salty water that is too familiar. Every time I envision how this journey in the sea can be or should be I always end up tasting the salty water that runs out of me, giving me the taste of what the solution brings. Other times, I wonder why this treasure doesn’t find me; it’s hidden in the deep blue sea of salty water, sitting their passively waiting for someone to discover it. If the treasure wants to be discovered, then why doesn’t it sit closer to its hopeful discoverer; who is waiting, digging by the shore along the coast? Why does the discoverer have to discover? Why can’t it be discovered? It’s tiring for him to discover everything it knows all on his own. Did the treasure ever think that one day the discoverer was going to get tired of discovering on its own? The discoverer was never given the help, support, or love he needed in life? It seems, as if, the discoverer only got a half full treasure chest, which is why he searches for the other half. There are so many questions I have for you. If you only knew how much I have needed you, missed you, and wanted to know you. I have never used, nor wanted the word papá in my vocabulary; it has never existed just like you have never existed in my life. It does not mean I have never needed a papá in my life. You have only existed as the treasure chest I hope to find one day. If you knew I was your son, then why didn’t you try to be my father or look for me? Who are you? what do you do? are you single? divorced? happy? unhappy? I know nothing about you. You’re a stranger, an empty box. You don’t know how I felt when I read those pages describing you. After reading them again and again, in-between, over, and under the lines so many questions were answered, but so many remain unanswered. For the first time in my life, in some context, I was not a bastard or somebody’s step-son. I did not have to be thankful because some other man helped fulfill your role. I was simply your son, somebody’s son, somebody who wanted to take care of me, teach me how to be a better discoverer, but you stopped and became a buried treasure of the past. In those few pages, I was able to see why I am the way I am: nice, kind, patient. So much of who I am today is an echo of who you are, it seems. I think of how it could have been or how it should have been, and I feel robbed of my treasure. For a very brief moment in time I was somebody’s son not somebody’s burden. All I have wanted was for you to acknowledge me. I want to know you know I exist. Have you missed me? cried just as much for me as I have for you? I am afraid of finding you only to be disappointed. I am afraid you might not care about me. I am afraid you might ignore me. I am afraid of not being loved because the rejection I have felt all these years will be certain. Strangely this uncertainty comforts me as I dig by the shore. At least right now I have some hope; I can tell myself, my discovery is going to be how I want it to be. I hope the treasure buried down in the deep blue sea of salty water does not carry anymore-salty water; For now I continue my search, as I dig by the seashore for the treasure chest”. Years later, I found this treasure chest. In it I found new family members, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and a grandmother. The nerve wrecking experience came with hugs, kisses, and conversations about our over twenty years of missed experiences. We shared our pasts over great food and company. His reaction could have not been better. After this reunion they proceeded with their life, and I proceed with mine. All I needed was one good memory of him to move on with my life and to realize my stepfather had been my treasure chest all along. “AHORA...TODOS PUEDEN ANUNCIARSE’

Exposición de los Niños a la Violencia La Alianza Comunitaria para la Seguridad y la Paz ( CASP ) es una colaboración de más de 50 agencias como organizaciones de base comunitaria, los jefes de departamento del condado de Monterey, Agencias del ley, la Ciudad de Salinas, y las instituciones educativas. Estamos dedicados a reducir la violencia en la Ciudad de Salinas y todo el Condado de Monterey. Muchos de los programas y acciones de CASP operan bajo la campaña Para Nuestro Futuro, en honor de proporcionar un futuro mejor para nuestros hijos. Una reciente campaña desarrollada por el Comité de Prevención de CASP tiene como objetivo reducir la exposición de los niños a la violencia a través de la educación. Tenemos la suerte de que en el condado de Monterey muchos están trabajando en esta misma meta incluyendo Juntos Podemos, Consejo de Niños del Condado de Monterey, el Consejo de Prevenir Abuso de Niños, y CASP. La razón detrás de esto, además del imperativo moral, es la montaña de evidencia científica que documenta los efectos de la exposición d e l o s n i ñ o s a l a v i o l e n c i a : " Una experiencia de la violencia puede llevar a la física duradera, mental y daño moral, si el niño es víctima directa o testigo. Los niños expuestos a la violencia son más propensos a sufrir de problemas de apego, conducta regresiva, la ansiedad y la depresión, y de tener problemas de agresión y conducta. Otros problemas relacionados con la salud, así como los problemas académicos y cognitivos, la delincuencia y la participación en el bienestar de los niños y de los sistemas de justicia de menores, también están asociados con experiencias de violencia. [ 1 ], [ 2 ], [ 3 ] A pesar de la violencia de la comunidad que los niños no directamente testigo ha demostrado que afectan negativamente a las capacidades del niño de atención [ 4 ] y el rendimiento cognitivo. [ 5 ] " El año pasado los miembros del Comité de Prevención, bajo del liderazgo de los Co-Presidentes Shari Hastey y Comandante de la Policía Sheldon Bryant, han sido la creación de una campaña de los medios de comunicación educativa para limitar la exposición de los niños a la violencia. Esta campaña se originó a partir de las discusiones de ver a sus padres llevar a sus hijos a la escena del crimen y ver las consecuencias de los incidentes violentos. La primera fase de esta campaña es una carta de dos medios de comunicación a todo color del tamaño aproximado de una tarjeta y se ha diseñado para distribución en la escena del crimen por agentes de la policía de Salinas. La tarjeta se puede llevar en los bolsillos uniformes. La campaña se centrará en los niños en los perímetros escena del crimen, las llamadas de violencia doméstica, y en la escena de accidentes. La tarjeta, en inglés y español, contiene los recursos de salud mental y de educación relacionados. The Community Alliance for Safety and Peace (CASP) is a collaborative of over 50 agencies involving community based organizations, Monterey County department heads, Law enforcement agencies, the City of Salinas, and educational institutions. We are dedicated to reducing violence in the City of Salinas and throughout Monterey County. Many of CASP’s programs and actions operate under the For Our Future campaign, in honor of providing a better future for our children. One recent campaign developed by the CASP Prevention Committee is aimed at reducing Children’s Exposure to Violence through education. We are fortunate that in Monterey County many are working on this same goal including the Monterey County Children’s Council, the Child Abuse Prevention Council, and CASP. The reason behind this, besides the moral imperative, is the mountain of scientific evidence documenting the effects of Children’s Exposure to Violence: “An experience of violence can lead to lasting physical, mental, and emotional harm, whether the child is a direct victim or a witness. Children who are exposed to violence are more likely to suffer from attachment problems, regressive behavior, anxiety, and depression, and to have aggression and conduct problems. Other health-related problems, as well as academic and cognitive problems, delinquency, and involvement in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems, are also associated with experiences of violence.[1],[2],[3] Even community violence that children do not directly witness has been shown to affect negatively children's attention abilities[4] and cognitive performance. [5]” Over the past year members of the Prevention Committee, under the leadership of Co-Chairs Shari Hastey and Police Commander Sheldon Bryant, have been creating an educational media campaign to limit children’s exposure to violence. This campaign originated from discussions of seeing parents bringing their children to crime scenes and viewing the aftermath of violent incidents. The first phase of this campaign is a two sided full color media about the size of an index card and is designed for distribution at crime scenes by Salinas’s police officers. The card will be carried in their uniform pockets. The campaign will focus on children at crime scene perimeters, domestic violence calls, and at accident scenes. The card, printed in English and Spanish, contains related educational and mental health resources. A phone number for Monterey County Behavioral Health is included and there is a link to additional online resources

We are not the only community in the country grappling with the issue of children’s exposure to violence. A media campaign that is meant to educate parents and guardians on the negative effects of this problem is a nationally recognized best practice for violence prevention. The cards are one component of what needs to be a much larger campaign made up of print, television, radio and outdoor advertising. A campaign of this size and impact is expensive but we know it can be effective. Our current campaign was inexpensive and relied on donations. Por este motivo, el libertador Simón Bolívar lo denominó "Cuna y Taller de la Libertad"7 y en su honor fue creada la Orden de Boyacá en 1819. Boyacá es uno de los 32 departamentos de Colombia.

GRUPO DE ORACION Qué es un grupo de oración? Un grupo de personas: - Donde todos tienen espacio, palabra, tarea. Que se reúnen para hacer un camino de encuentro con Dios.- Llamados por el Espíritu- En el nombre de Jesús, que garantiza su presencia en medio de ellos (Mt 18,19-10).- Aprenden a decir: Padre nuestro. - En comunión con la Iglesia (CEC 2689).Y que sienten la necesidad de dar gratis lo que gratuitamente han recibido. El don se convierte en tarea eclesial. El grupo de oración está llamado a convertirse en comunidad, si está siempre como grupo de oración, es como una hemorragia, hay que pararla. ¿De qué se trata el grupo de oración? El grupo ofrece la cercanía y el apoyo de los demás para descubrir la dimensión comunitaria de la vida cristiana, donde cada hermano y hermana es un don. Es lo que Santa Teresa llama: "hacernos espaldas". Un signo de los tiempos. Abundan los grupos comprometidos, con buena representación de laicos. Es un regalo del Espíritu a la Iglesia. Se reúnen en un lugar, y el Espíritu les une el alma. Juntos escuchan la Palabra de Dios. Dejan que la vida de Dios pase de unos a otros en un clima de alegría. Comparten los dones, perseveran en estos encuentros y el Señor los bendice. ¿A qué llama Dios a cada persona? Dios llama incansablemente a cada persona al encuentro misterioso con El. La oración acompaña toda la historia de la salvación como una llamada recíproca entre Dios y el hombre. El grupo se coloca en el plano de la gracia y se sabe habitado por el misterio de Dios. El Espíritu realiza la unidad en el encuentro. Desaparecen los protagonismos personales. No es suficiente hablar de Jesús, hay que hablar con Jesús primero. (Jeremias1:9).Entonces extendió su mano y me tocó la boca, diciéndome: «En este momento pongo mis palabras en tu boca. Que nuestra adoración sea auténtica porque sale del corazón. El mejor ejemplo de ello es Ananías que sólo aparece dos veces mencionado en la Biblia, pero qué importante fue para la conversión de Pablo. En esa obediencia al Señor, él benefició a toda la iglesia. ¿Para quién es, quien puede estar en un grupo de oración? La oración es para todos los hijos de Dios, sin hacer distinciones entre buenos y malos pues el único perfecto es Jesucristo. La oración es para el pueblo de Dios que comparte la misión de Jesucristo y se deja guiar por El Espíritu Santo (Jn 14:12,13). ¿Qué se necesita para participar en un grupo de oración? Solamente, escuchar el llamado que se nos hace, en Nombre de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, y venir a la oración comunitaria: “Mira que estoy a la puerta y llamo”(Apo 3:21) ¿Quién dirige un grupo de oración? Es nuestro Señor Jesucristo quien dirige, a través de El Espíritu Santo, y nos lleva a alabar y glorificar a nuestro Padre Dios. Pero también se olvidan de ellos mismos para alabar a Dios, usando alabanzas, reflexionando pasajes bíblicos y viviendo el evangelio diariamente en la comunidad. “Predica con el ejemplo y si es necesario habla” (Padre Pio). ¿Es muy importante que tenga experiencia? "Nuestro mundo hace más caso a los testigos que a los maestros" (Pablo VI). ¿Qué es el crecimiento? El perfil del agresor. Según las investigaciones entre un 65% y 85% son familiares cercanos del infante. Los abusadores intrafamiliares (dentro de la familia del menor), suelen tener más de 35 años de edad. Utilizan la seducción o el engaño para atraer a sus víctimas. El abuso sexual se da cuando un adulto o un menor de mayor edad obliga a un niño a mantener contacto sexual. Para lograr su objetivo, el abusador puede emplear la fuerza física, un soborno, amenazas o aprovecharse de la ingenuidad de la criatura. Los hay de traje y corbata, de jeans y zapatillas, con ojos claros u oscuros, rubios o morenos, altos o bajos, gordos o flacos, con o sin hijos, familiares o amigos, vecinos o amigos, conocidos o desconocidos, mujeres o varones, no hay formas de distinguirlos, es por eso que debemos estar atentos a nuestro alrededor y a las señales que dan los mas chiquitos. “Es sumamente importante saber que un niño es incapaz de crear en su mente un abuso sexual porque a tan corta edad la sexualidad no esta instalada en su cabeza, por eso inmediatamente se le debe creer”, El abuso sexual infantil debe tomarse muy en cuenta como una de las posibles causas si el niño presenta alguno(s) de los siguientes síntomas: Problemas para dormir: pesadillas, se orina en la cama, no puede dormir, necesita encender las luces (siente temor). Pierde el control y se orina o hace el dos. Pierde el apetito o come mucho. Muchos miedos nuevos, se aferra, no quiere quedarse solo. Regresiona, comienza a comportarse como un niño más joven (como bebé). Cambia repentinamente de conducta; de extrovertido a tímido o se aísla. Regala o tira un juguete favorito o alguna otra posesión querida. Repentinamente se enoja contra un padre, familiar o amigo. Dificultades en la escuela. No se concentra en sus tareas, puede ser agresivo con otros niños. Muestra comportamientos sexuales, se obsesiona con partes o palabras sexuales, besos inapropiados como el “beso francés”, conocimiento sexual que no va de acuerdo con su edad. Hace comentarios vagos como: “Ya no me gusta el tío José”. Se niega a ir a ciertos lugares o a estar con cierta persona. Irritabilidad o enojo. Muchas veces los abusadores se hacen buenos amigos de los padres/guardianes del niño para ganarse la confianza y tener fácil acceso a sus hijos. De esta manera, si el niño denuncia los actos es difícil para la familia creer que tan “buena persona” haya hecho o esté haciendo actos tan graves. Enseñamos a nuestros hijos a cuidarse de desconocidos, de extraños y amigos principalmente enseñar a los niños a decir a los mayores que no les gusta que los besen, los abracen fuerte, les hagan cosquillas o cualquier otra acción que los haga sentirse incómodos, que respetuosamente se puede decir ¡NO! y que esa persona debe de parar. El adulto que no tenga intención de hacer daño dejará de hacer sentir incómodo al niño y así, el niño aprendería que expresar su descontento es un poder que ellos tienen. Debe explicar al menor este tema lo mas pequeño posible, si no sabe como hacerlo edúquese. Si descubre que su hijo ha sido víctima de una violación, es importante buscar ayuda lo antes posible, lleve a su hijo a una sala de emergencias de inmediato, llame a la policía o llame a la línea directa de atención de crisis por violación (800) 656-HOPE. En el hospital, se realizarán estudios a su hijo. Si es posible, busque atención médica antes de que su hijo se cambie la ropa, se bañe o se higienice y tenga en cuenta que los médicos y las enfermeras normalmente denuncian las a gres iones sexua les a las autoridades ) .
