un mensaje

one message Cierto día, caminando por la playa observe a un hombre que se agachaba a cada momento, recogía algo de la arena y lo lanzaba al mar.

Hacía lo mismo una y otra vez. Tan pronto como me aproximé me di cuenta de que lo que el hombre agarraba eran estrellas de mar que las olas depositaban en la arena, y una a una las arrojaba de nuevo al mar. Intrigado, lo interrogué sobre lo que estaba haciendo, a lo cual me respondió: Estoy lanzando estas estrellas marinas nuevamente al océano.

Como ves, la marea es baja y estas estrellas han quedado en la orilla si no las arrojo al mar morirán aquí por falta de oxígeno. Entiendo, le dije, pero debe haber miles de estrellas de mar sobre la playa. No puedes lanzarlas a todas. Son demasiadas. Y quizás no te des cuenta de que esto sucede probablemente en cientos de playas a lo largo de la costa ¿no estás haciendo algo que no tiene sentido?

El hombre sonrió, se inclinó y tomó una estrella marina y mientras la lanzaba de vuelta al mar me respondió: ¡paro esta si tuvo una mano que la ayudo!...Sé que en este mundo complicado, trastornado, acelerado, equivocado, un gesto de ternura y solidaridad no alcanza, hace falta mucho más...Nada puedo hacer para solucionar todas los problemas del mundo pero…

Si alguna vez a través de estos mensajes logro hacerte sonreír, llorar, emocionar, reflexionar o cambiar. Entonces como ese hombre, arrojare una estrella al mar.

One day, walking down the beach I observed a man crouching at every moment, he collected some sand and threw it into the sea. He did the same thing over and over again. As soon as I approached I realized that what the man grabbed were starfish that the waves deposited in the sand, and one by one he lanced them back into the sea. I questioned him about what he was doing, to which he replied: I'm throwing these starfish back into the ocean. As you see, the tide is low and these stars have been brought onto the shore if I do not throw them back into the sea they will die here from lack of oxygen. I understand, I said, but there must be thousands of starfish on the beach. You can not throw them all. There are too many. And perhaps you do not realize that this probably happens on hundreds of beaches along the coast are you doing something that makes no sense? The man smiled, bent down and picked up a starfish and threw it back into the sea as he replied: but this one does have a hand that helped it...I know that in this complicated, upset, accelerated world a gesture of tenderness and solidarity is not enough, it takes a lot more..

There’s nothing I can do to solve all the world's problems but..If ever through these posts I make you smile, mourn, excite, reflect o change.

Then just like that man, I will cast a star into the sea.

Orgullo Hispano

La maestra de baile Ruby Ann Vasquez nace el 2 de febrero de 1964 en la ciudad de Watsonville, California. Ella comparte unos breves recuerdos de sus primeros años en dicha ciudad, “Jugar en los campos de fresa con mis hermanas y primo. Luego trabajar en estos campos donde las mujeres, igual como mis padres, me animaron a seguir mi estudio, para lograr mi meta, de ser educadora.”

Ella nos dice como desde los 6 años empieza a bailar folklórico con la maestra Florencia Chavoya. Ella nos dice al respecto. “Ensayábamos en el patio de su casa. Con el grupo de baile participamos con el grupo el Penny Club que era un grupo que enseñaba a los niños locales música y baile. Tuvimos la oportunidad de presentar los bailes en muchos eventos locales y en programas de televisión.”

Ella nos cuenta como gracias a esta experiencia aprende acerca de la cultura y tradiciones de México. Esto es importante para ella como nos explica, “Haber nacido aquí, no recibí esta enseñanza en otro lugar.” Este interés por el arte del baile folklórico de México es constante a lo largo de su vida. Ella nos cuenta como sigue con esta pasión, “Durante los años de la preparatoria, ayudé a establecer un grupo de baile folklórico, por unos 4 años en Salinas CA. Después de terminar mis estudios universitarios, comencé a bailar con el grupo de baile Esperanza del Valle (esperanzadelvalle.org) en Watsonville, bajo la dirección de Janet Johns, donde todavía sigo bailando. Con Esperanza del Valle he tenido el placer de viajar a México para aprender los bailes de los maestros o invitar a los maestros que vengan a Watsonville.” Por si todo esto no fuera poco también toma la iniciativa y empieza un grupo de baile para niños y jóvenes. Ella nos explica, “Actualmente tenemos 35 participantes entre las edades de 4 y 16 años. Nuestro grupo se llama Estrellas de Esperanza.” A lo largo de su formación como maestra de baile y bailarina Ruby sigue con su educación.

It is important to be involved in the community, stay informed of the needs, do what you can do to help improve the community. About culture, it is important that adults continue teaching, talking, about this knowledge.

Each family has a history, tell your stories and memories it is important to speak to your children of these experiences. Or search for a class either in music, dancing, acting, etc. Have an a cultural outlet to enable children to learn about other cultures. I have learned this is very healthy, and feeds one's soul.

For example, a very interesting thing happened this past February my colleague Veronica Leon and I, had the great pleasure of realizing a dream of bringing the issue of "Mexico Black: The Root Forgotten”. We invited the organizers of AFRICA AC Oaxaca Mexico to disseminate information about the black communities in the Costa Chica of Mexico and its traditional dances, this information is almost unknown even in Mexico. It was very much appreciated by our community.”

For all her great dedication, volunteering in the cultural arts and her work as an educator Paloma Magazine rejoices in the great career of this outstanding role model for our community here in the Central Coast. We appreciate and recognize her as our Orgullo Hispano forever. .

“TODO SOBRE FUMAR”

Tal vez ya sabes mucho acerca de fumar. Quizá también sabes que aun cuando los fumadores saben que están perjudicando su salud, siguen fumando. ¿Te has preguntado alguna vez por qué? Por esta razón hablar sobre las maneras en que el tabaco afecta al cuerpo y qué clase de problemas causa, así como analizar la razón de ¿por qué es tan difícil dejar de fumar? Así tú tendrás una mejor idea sobre lo que es el fumar. *El Nuevo Juego: Si te fijas en los mostradores de las tiendas, o farmacias, verás tantas clases de cigarros que es muy difícil contarlos, los hay suaves, mentolados, regulares, en tamaños normales, largos o extralargos. Sin embargo, son sólo diferentes presentaciones de la misma cosa, después de todo "un cigarro es un cigarro". Todos los cigarros trabajan igual, ya que están hechos de lo mismo: tabaco. El tabaco también contiene cientos de químicos, gases y alquitranes. Entonces, ¿por qué la gente lo hace en primer lugar, aun cuando saben las cosas malas que les van a pasar? El fumar también causa hábito, de manera que el fumador lo hace casi sin pensarlo. De manera que cuando un adicto a esta droga quiere dejar de fumar, al faltarle a su cuerpo dicha droga, siente malestar como sentirse tensos, irritables y les es difícil concentrarse. Así que la nicotina es la razón por la que las personas siguen fumando aun sabiendo que les hace mal a la salud. Juntas nicotina, adicción y hábito, hacen una combinación muy difícil de romper, y aun cuando se puede lograr (por lo regular toma de una a varias semanas para romper el hábito), no es fácil ni divertido. Por eso tal vez muchos fumadores dicen que la mejor manera de dejarlo, es nunca empezar a fumar. *Los Problemas, Parte I: Todos sabemos sobre los peligros de fumar.

Para quienes empiezan, el fumar puede arruinar la habilidad de la nariz y el gusto para poder oler y saborear las cosas. El tabaco también puede causar arrugas en la piel, además de manchar las uñas y los dientes. Hay otros problemas mucho más serios. Por ejemplo: fumar causa cáncer. El cáncer causado por fumar puede afectar todas las partes del cuerpo, aun cuando las más afectadas son pulmones, labios, boca y garganta. Fumar también causa otras enfermedades pulmonares. Has notado alguna vez que quienes fuman no pueden hacer cosas normales (como correr o subir escaleras) sin fatigarse rápidamente. El tabaco afecta las células de los pulmones no dejándolos trabajar normalmente. Además afecta el corazón aun hasta causar ataques cardíacos y otros problemas serios.

Aun cuando estos problemas no ocurren inmediatamente, y tal vez ni en varios años, no quiere decir que no ocurrirán. Si quieres saber que tan mortales pueden ser los cigarrillos, piensa en esto: el fumar causa un promedio de 1,000 muertes diariamente en los Estados Unidos.

*Otros Problemas: Debido a los muchos problemas de fumar, muchas personas han decidido cambiar a cigarrillos sihumo tabaco para masticar "chewing tobacco," quiere decir, que pueden tener serios problemas de salud temprano en su vida.

Otras personas han cambiado al uso de los cigarrillos clavos "clove" (hechos con fuertes especies y tabaco) pensando que no son cigarros normales. El dinero es otra razón. Las compañías cigarreras gastan billones de dólares cada año en publicidad para vender cigarros y lo hacen porque quieren tu dinero, mientras tú estés dispuesto a dárselo. Otra de las mejores razones para nunca empezar a fumar, es que el fumar en si es una mentira. Es mentira que al fumar te mirarás más atractivo, o serás más popular, o más sofisticado. Y es una mentira que estarás feliz y saludable como las personas en los anuncios de cigarrillos. Nunca conseguirás ninguna de estas cosas fumando, al contrario las perderás porque al fumar pierdes parte de ti mismo.

Y esa es la pura verdad acerca de fumar.

Te quita más de lo que te da.

Jesús Enrique Emilio de la Helguera Espinoza es su nombre de pila, nacido un 28 de Mayo de 1910, es oriundo del norteño Estado de Chihuahua y vivió su niñez en la Ciudad de México D.F.; a los 7 años de edad viaja con sus padres a España por los problemas de la guerra de la Revolución Mexicana. Llegan a Ciudad Real y poco después se establece en Madrid donde de inmediato se vincula a la escuela de Artes y Oficios donde se destaca por sus excepcionales capacidades artísticas lo que le abre las puertas a la Academia de san Fernando y ahí es orientado por los mejores maestros de la época como. Sus obras siguen siendo reproducidas por importantes empresas a través de calendarios, empaques y publicidad diversa que fortalece la identidad mexicana, de esta manera sus obras han sido vistas durante más de 60 años por millones de hogares dentro y fuera del territorio mexicano. Escapa de la guerra en México pero infortunadamente es atrapado por otra; la Guerra Civil Española, sus padres resuelven regresar a México, una vez ahí, el joven artista continua desarrollando s u tal ento ar tíst ico y consigu e emp leo en la revista Sucesos pata todos y después se vincula a

El sueño de muchas mujeres es tener un cabello liso, fuerte, largo y brillante, pero todo depende de cómo cuidemos y tratemos a nuestro cabello. Por eso, hoy quiero enseñarte a hacer una crema casera para alisar el cabello de forma natural y sin dañar tu pelo.

Crema casera de coco: Para hacer esta crema casera para alisar el cabello necesitarás algunos ingredientes naturales y fáciles de adquirir: Medio coco fresco,1 cucharada de avena molida,1 cucharada de almidón,½ taza de leche.

Pon todos los ingredientes excepto el almidón en una procesadora, y luego diluye el almidón en un poco de agua, lleva a ebullición la mezcla anterior y luego añade el almidón disuelto. Sigue removiendo hasta que quede una crema. Aplícala sobre todo el cabello y tapa con un plástico o papel de aluminio. Deja actuar 25 minutos y lava tu cabello con normalidad.

-Crema casera con aceite de oliva: El aceite de oliva es excelente para el cabello, así que puedes hacer esta crema casera con 30 gramos de aceite, una cápsula de aceite de jazmín y 30 gramos de un acondicionador sin amoníaco -preferentemente completamente natural-.

Mezcla todos los ingredientes y tendrás lista la crema. Pon sobre el cabello entre el shampoo y el acondicionador. Deja actuar veinte minutos y enjuaga. Cepilla tu cabello con normalidad, pero sin utilizar secador.

-Coco con jugo de limón: .Por ejemplo, puedes mezclar agua de coco con jugo de limón -déjalas en el refrigerador un par de horas- para disminuir las ondas del cabello y tener menos caspa. Aplica sobre el cabello entre 45

minutos y una hora y luego lava con shampoo.

-Aceite de coco: este es un tratamiento con aceites calientes -utiliza aceite de coco o de oliva-, que debes aplicar sobre el cuero

cabelludo y masajear. Envuelve en una toalla caliente y deja actuar un rato, lava con normalidad.

Nació el 5 de septiembre de 1914 en San Fabián de Alico, Chillán. Su padre fue improvisador de versos; la madre, tejedora. Hermano de la célebre cantautora Violeta Parra, fallecida en 1967.

Cursó estudios de matemáticas y física y fue catedrático en esas especialidades.

Cofundador de la Revista Nueva. En 1943 viaja a Estados Unidos con beca otorgada por el "Institute of International Education", donde estudia mecánica avanzada en la Universidad de Brown. En 1948 es nombrado director interino de la Escuela de Ingeniería de la Universidad de Chile.

En 1949 viaja a Inglaterra, con beca del Consejo Británico.

Estudia cosmología con E. A. Milner, permaneciendo en Gran Bretaña hasta 1951. Después enseña matemáticas y física en la Universidad de Chile.

Nuevamente, es invitado a diversos países: Estados Unidos, Unión Soviética, China Popular, Cuba, Perú, Panamá, México, etc.

Al principio su obra es evocativa y sentimental en Cancionero sin nombre (1937), más adelante adoptó la línea que él mismo denomina "antipoesía".

Esta renovación de proyecciones internacionales, comienza en Poemas y antipoemas (1954) y se prolonga en una docena de obras más. En 1969 recibe el Premio Nacional de Literatura en Chile. En 1977 vio la luz Sermones y prédicas del Cristo de Elqui, sobre un visionario místico que predicaba por las minas del norte de Chile. En 1991 es galardonado por segunda vez en su país y también con el Premio Internacional Juan Rulfo, del que fue el primer ganador, ya que era la primera edición de este premio.

El 1 de diciembre de 2011 Nicanor Parra gana el Premio Cervantes, considerado el galardón más importante de las letras hispanas y que concede el Ministerio de Cultura al conjunto de la obra de un autor.

Este premio, creado en 1975 por el Ministerio de Cultura español, y reconoce la figura de un escritor que, con el conjunto de sus obras haya contribuido a enriquecer el legado literario hispánico.

En su despacho todos lo conocían como El Doctor.

En realidad no había mucho que decir. Era un hombre de rutina, de esos que en algún momento pasó todos los días preparándose para poder practicar medicina y recetarla.

En realidad nadie sabía mucho de su pasado parecía un autómata que solo podía mirar hacia adelante, parecía como si un día de repente existió. En El Doctor no había anécdotas nunca había experiencias que contar de sus fines de semana, no había detalles de sus hijos, perros ni gatos. El Doctor era pura medicina, ciencia y expedientes.

Todo lo hacía tan bien, todas sus acciones eran tan mecánicas, tan deliberadas. El Doctor era bueno y eficiente, algunos llegaron a pensar que fuese robot o quizá extraterrestre. Al Doctor, nunca le faltaban pacientes, siempre había espera, siempre había que hacer una cita meses antes. En su despecho, los pacientes siempre volvían nunca perdían una cita nunca perdían un procedimiento cosmético. Todo era una ciencia, el paciente primero asistía a su cita, ahí El Doctor le explicaba los peligros y beneficios. Después le pedía un autógrafo al paciente y con eso aceptaba los términos.

En esa cita si no había firma no había procedimiento cosmético. Una vez que el paciente aceptaba los términos del procedimiento médico El Doctor le pedía al paciente que le dijera que era lo que quería eliminar.

Siempre volvían los pacientes, siempre regresaban a llevar a cabo su procedimiento médico. Detrás de la hoja que firmaban los pacientes habían unas pequeñas letritas, donde estaban todos los avisos y peligros que muy pocos pacientes leían. El Doctor como todo un profesional mantenía su distancia no le importaba conocer a sus pacientes, sus vidas, el por qué de sus acciones, incluso intentaba referirse a sus pacientes de acuerdo al número de su expediente para así facilitarle su trabajo así podía mantener su profesionalismo en la oficina.

Esa mañana los tres hombres llegaron al consultorio y traían consigo mismo a un hombre sucio, mal vestido y desnutrido. Después de terminar de escribir algo que pareciera importantísimo El Doctor levanto la mirada y le dijo a los hombres: “Bien, lleven al #1057 al cuarto de operaciones y le informan a las enfermeras que empezamos en 5 minutos…CONTINUARA...

I say undocumented American, they said illegal alien.

The problem with illegal alien is that illegal implies breaking the law, unlawful, criminal. The other, alien, implies out of this world, not human. Without even realizing it this implies an inhuman criminal. This implied dehumanization allows some to believe it is justifiable to mistreat me and deprive me of rights and opportunities.

This dehumanization allows others to take-away my agency to take-away my voice and power. They believe they can speak for me because they believe I am a criminal. I have done nothing wrong. My crime was to have been born at the wrong place and at the wrong time. You see, I was born in Mexico in 1986. Years later my mother immigrated to this country legally. I was brought over by her to avoid separation.

From a very small age, I first learned the pledge of allegiance. I learned about the Civil War between northern and southern states before I learned about the Mexican Independence or Revolution. I first learned about Manifest Destiny. I learned about the gold rush. I learned about the patch-quilt fabric that keeps this country united. I learned about pulling yourself up by the boot straps. I learned about Lady Liberty. I went to New York and walked on Ellis Island. I learned how to be an American. I grew up with American television and ate American food. I was brought to this country not by choice.

Now, I am a criminal. Now, my existence within the system is none existent. I can’t drive, vote or work. I can’t be part of the system. I can only be afraid and ashamed. I can be quiet and pass as legal, pass as documented. So many times, friends have said, how could you be an illegal you speak great English?

Have you ever wondered what its like to have the country you identify with constantly remind you, you don’t belong? You are not one of us. You are not part of our system because you are a criminal for being in this country. I once read that illegals should go back to their country and work in their country to make the economy stronger. Go back to what or where? To my other family? The family I have met once in my life. Go back to a country I only know from family stories based on blurry polaroid pictures. Go back to streets I don’t know and visit neighbors I have never met. Go back to a country that I know as a passed down tradition of how things taste, smell and are. Go back to the place my family attempts to recreate in this country. Go back to a place that I am no longer a part of even if I wanted to belong there. To them in my country, to all of those family members, friends and neighbors I never grew up with I am different. I am not like them. I am another version of them. To my Mexicans in Mexico I am American. To my non-Hispanic Americans in the United States I am a Mexican. I say this because it’s true, I don’t say it because I want to belong to one or another. It is what it is.

The thing is as an illegal alien you are constantly reminded you don’t belong to go back from where we came from. If I go back, there too I don’t belong. I do speak Spanish, but different, and with an accent. In Mexico, I was told that I don’t know how to eat a taco and that I really can’t eat spicy food. As if somehow eating a taco correctly or having a high tolerance for spice made you more Mexican. In Mexico, they always think you are wealthier. They always think you are rich. In the United States, I am always low income, diversity, scholarship boy, and free lunches. My English always carries an accent an oddity because of my Spanish. I am told that I must have grown up eating Mexican food only. I must be great at making tacos and have a high tolerance for hot sauce, and that I should go back to where I came from.

You see as an illegal alien, I am not able to vote, travel or drive. If you try to be a part of the system, you can’t. At airport lines, I am reminded. I am almost always randomly selected for extra security. I can’t enjoy a drink or go to a club, well I cloud, but my night will depend on the bouncer or bartender. You see non-U.S. forms of ID to some people are invalid forms of identification. To attempt to go to college, it’s much worse, I am unable to do my FAFSA. I am unable to apply for grants or get loans. Yet, I am expected to pay taxes and obey the law. You see, I am expected to give, but never to get. I am a criminal because I was brought over to this country. I don’t say this to complain or to demand anything more than equality.

I just dream of a path to citizenship a path to be included.

I am tired of living life on the margins. I am tired of not existing within the system. I am tired of watching this country from the sidelines. It’s unfair, it’s not justice.

I dream of driving one day. I dream of having my ID card from California with my name on it. I dream of being able to vote. I dream of traveling to other countries. I dream of being documented of knowing that the country I call my home knows I exist knows I have rights dreams and aspirations. I want to participate as an equal as a human being. I am American just not documented. It’s painful to know that to you I don’t belong, it’s painful to know I don’t exist even if I don’t break the law. If I go to school, to become a doctor or a lawyer I am still an illegal to you.

Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes

(Grecia, Costa Rica) Ciudad conocida por su bonita iglesia roja, “Nuestra Señora de la Mercedes” que fue construida en el siglo 19 totalmente de estructura y láminas metálicas, debido a que el anterior templo fue seriamente dañado por los temblores de 1882. La Piñata ¡En Diciembre se acercan las POSADAS y todos vamos felices a romper la piñata!.

Sin embargo, esta tradición mexicana de la piñata tiene un significado religioso, que te explicaremos en este folleto. ¿QUÉ SIGNIFICA LA PIÑATA? Esa vasija redonda significa LA TIERRA, el hermoso planeta donde vivimos, que está lleno de cosas buenas: Pero como somos seres LIBRES, o sea que podemos escoger, elegir... le hemos colocado a este mundo bueno, 7 pecados o actos malos. Los cuernos de la piñata representan los 7 PECADOS CAPITALES ( o sea los 7 grandes pecados del hombre); estos pecados se disfrazan muy atractivos, divertidos y con colores brillantes. El palo es quien tiene LAS VIRTUDES que son las ¨cosas buenas¨ que podrán ayudar a terminar con todos esos pecados. El palo con sus virtudes va acabando con el mal hasta romper la piñata para dejar salir del mundo todas las cosas buenas que hay adentro.

CUALES SON LOS 7 PECADOS CAPITALES: La soberbia, la lujuria, la gula, la avaricia, la envidia, la ira y la pereza. Te diremos también, que virtud (acción buena) se necesita para acabar con ese pecado.

1) LA SOBERBIA: La Soberbia es amarte demasiado a ti mismo, y te hace despreciar a Dios y a los demás. Eres soberbio cuando crees que tú puedes hacerlo todo, que no necesitas de Dios ni de los demás, cuando te crees mucho (que tú eres el mas listo, el mas perfecto y los demás son unos tontos), cuando eres presumido o te gusta llamar la atención, cuando quieres que todo se haga como tú quieres, cuando crees que todo te lo mereces, cuando sólo hablas de ti .- La virtud que debes de cultivar para atacar la soberbia es la HUMILDAD. Ser humilde es pensar que Dios te creo y que no eres nada en comparación a El, que no puedes dar un paso si quiera sin que El lo permita. Pensar siempre que lo bueno que tienes, no lo has logrado tú sino que El te lo regaló gratis. Ser humilde es no buscar que los otros te aplaudan, buscar pasar desapercibido, buscar ocupar el último lugar.

2) LA LUJURIA: La Lujuria es buscar de manera desordenada el placer sexual. Eres lujurioso cuando buscas el placer sexual por si mismo, porque se siente a todo dar, no importando que sea antes o fuera del matrimonio, no importando que ofendas a tu pareja, no importando que solo tu sientas bonito y tu pareja no. Eres lujurioso no solo cuando eres infiel, también cuando ves revistas o programas pornográficos, cuando te comes viva a la mujer (hombre) que va pasando. Recuerda que Dios ideó el sexo como algo hermoso y que tiene dos fines : a) unir a la pareja --- por eso sólo se vale dentro del matrimonio. b) ser el medio para procrear --- por eso el acto sexual siempre debe estar ¨abierto a la vida¨.- La virtud que debes de cultivar para atacar la lujuria es LA CASTIDAD. es usar de ese hermoso regalo que Dios dio al hombre y que se llama sexo, de acuerdo a las reglas de Dios : solo dentro del matrimonio y solo con tu esposo/ a, siendo un acto de entrega amorosa (hacer feliz al otro) y no un acto de egoísmo (solo importa lo que yo sienta). La castidad es también cuidar mis ojos, mis oídos y mi mente de toda esas cochinadas que en el mundo venden como algo normal y que sabes que está mal, que ofende a Dios. Cuando estés tentado a ver este tipo de programas, revistas, libros, piensa : ¿Qué piensa Dios de mi en este momento? Debes ser casto en pensamientos, deseos, palabras y acciones. ¨Si no quieres caer al precipicio, no te pares junto a él. Evita estar cerca de las tentaciones de la lujuria.

3) LA GULA: La Gula es comer o beber sin medida, cuando bebes en exceso y te emborrachas perdiendo la razón. ¿Tú crees que a Dios le gusta verte en ese estado? ¿Tú crees que a tu familia le gusta verte así o se avergüenza de ello?. Gula es también cuando comes sin medida, cuando todo el día piensas nada mas en comer. La virtud que debes de cultivar contra la gula es la TEMPLANZA : beber y comer con medida.

4) LA AVARICIA: La Avaricia es tener una gran ambición de poseer cosas materiales.

Eres avaro cuando te importa mucho tener cosas, tener dinero, vestidos, adornos para tu casa, aparatos, no importando que tengas que hacer para conseguirlo. El desear superarse económicamente a través del trabajo honrado es bueno, lo que está mal es solo pensar en ¨tener mas ¨.La virtud a cultivar contra la Avaricia es LA SENCILLEZ , que es ser feliz con poco y LA GENEROSIDAD, que es pensar en compartir y dar de lo tuyo.

Siempre habrá otros que tienen mas necesidad que tú. Cristo nació y vivió en la sencillez y en la pobreza. deberías ser mejor persona¨, mejor padre, madre, hijo o hermano... mejor amigo, mejor trabajador, mejor jefe...

5) LA ENVIDIA: La Envidia es sentir tristeza porque a otro le va bien o sentir alegría cuando a otro le va mal, cuando te da coraje que tu amiga fulanita ni dieta hace y está hecha un palo, cuando te da gusto que a tu compadre que es malo contigo se le murieron unas vaquitas...La virtud a cultivar es LA CARIDAD, que es amar de verdad a todos tus hermanos, los que te caen bien y los que no. Es siempre desear el bien de los otros. Cristo dijo : ¨Ámense los unos a los otros como Yo los he amado¨.

6) LA IRA: La Ira es enojarse sin medida y el tener deseos de venganza. Pecas de ira cuando te enojas sin control y gritas en casa, cuando cada vez que un hijo tuyo se acerca a ti eres el padre o la madre que está de malas, cuando por una cosa sin importancia armas un drama, y te peleas con todos. La virtud a cultivar contra la Ira es LA PACIENCIA, ir poco a poco dominando tu carácter, cuenta hasta diez antes de explotar, no permitirte gritar, enojarte y hacer corajes fácilmente. Pide mucho a Dios que te ayude a ser mas paciente y verás que lo lograrás. Si tú no puedes, El si puede.

7) LA PEREZA: La Pereza es la flojera que te lleva a descuidar tus obligaciones. Eres perezoso cuando dejas de hacer lo que tú sabes que tienes que hacer porque sientes flojera, porque estás descansando tan rico, porque mejor lo haces luego... ¡No debes ser holgazán!. La virtud a cultivar contra la Pereza es LA LABORIOSIDAD, que significa ser trabajador. Trabajar con alegría y con amor. Acuérdate que Dios Dijo: el que no trabaje, que no coma,(Tesalonicenses 3:10).

PROPÓSITO DEL MES: Estudiare bien estos 7 pecados capitales para saber cual es en el que mas caigo, y pedir ayuda a Dios para cultivar la virtud que me falta para mejorar.

The Piñata In December the INNS are close and we will all break the piñata happily !. However, this Mexican piñata tradition has religious significance, which we will explain in this booklet.

WHAT DOES THE PIÑATA MEAN? That round vesselmeans EARTH, the beautiful planet we live on, which is full of good things: But as we are FREE, or we can choose, choose ... we have put this good world, 7 deadly sins or misdeeds. The horns of the piñata represent the 7 DEADLY SINS (ie 7 great sins of man); these sins are disguised very attractively, fun and with bright colors. The stick is having VIRTUES which are the good things that will help end all those sins. The stick with their strengths running out with the evil until breaking the piñata to let out all the good stuff is inside of the world.

WHAT ARE THE 7 DEADLY SINS: Pride, lust, gluttony, greed, envy, anger and sloth.

We'll tell you too, that virtue (good deed) is needed to end this sin.

1) PRIDE: The Pride is to love yourself too, and it makes you despise God and others.

You're proud when you think you can do it all, you do not need God or others, when you think too much (you're the smartest, the most perfect and others are fools), when you're cocky or like to call attention, when you want everything to be done the way you want, when you think you deserve everything, when you only talk about yourself .- the virtue you must cultivate to attack pride is HUMBLENESS. To be humble is to think that God created you and you are nothing compared to him, you can not take a step without the permits. Always think how good you have, not what you've accomplished but He gave it to you free. Being humble is not to look like the others applaud, search unnoticed, search occupy the last place.

2) LUST: Lust is disordered manner of seeking sexual pleasure. You're lustful when looking for sexual pleasure itself, because it feels to give you everything, regardless if it is before or outside of marriage, regardless of offending your partner, regardless that only you feel nice and your partner does not. You are not only luxurious when you're cheating, even when you see pornographic magazines or programs, when you eat alive the woman (man) who is passing. Remember that God designed sex as something beautiful and has two purposes: a) bring a couple together --- why is it only within marriage. b) be the means for procreation --- why sexual intercourse should always be open to LIFE.- The virtue you must cultivate to attack lust is CHASTITY. is using that beautiful gift that God gave man and called sex, according to the rules of God only within marriage and only with your husband / wife, being an act of loving surrender (make the other happy) not an act of selfishness (only matters what I feel). Chastity is also take care of my eyes, my ears and my mind of all these dirty things in the world sold as normal and you know it's wrong, it offends God. When you're tempted to see these types of programs, magazines, books, think: What does God think of me now? You have to be chaste in thoughts, desires, words and actions. If you do not want to fall off the cliff, do not stand next to him. Avoid being near the temptations of lust.

3) GLUTTONY: Gluttony is eating or drinking without measure, when you drink too much and get drunk losing your mind. Do you think God likes to see you in that state? Do you think your family would like to see you or be ashamed of it ?. Glutton is also when you eat without measure, when you think about eating all day nothing else. The need to cultivate virtue against Greed is the TEMPERANCE: eat and drink with measure.

4) GREED: Greed is to have a great ambition for material things. You're greedy when you care about having things, money, clothes, decorations for your house, appliances, no matter what you have to do to get it. Wishing economically overcoming through honest work is good, what is bad is just thinking more .To have virtue to cultivate against Greed is SIMPLICITY, which is to be happy with little and GENEROSITY, which is to think about sharing and giving from yours. There will always be others who have more needs than you. Christ was born and lived in simplicity and poverty. you should be a better person, a better father, mother, son or brother... best friend, best worker, best boss ...

5) ENVY: Envy is feeling sad because another does well or feels joy when other does wrong, when it angers you that your friend or does not diet and is made a stick when you are glad that your friend who is mean to you looses some of his cows ... the virtue to cultivate is CHARITY, which is really love all your brothers, those who you like well and those who you do not. You always want the good of others. Christ said: Love one another as I have loved you.

6) ANGER: Anger is being angry beyond measure and taking revenge. Freckles anger when you get angry uncontrollably and begin yelling at home, when ever a child of yours approaches you and you are the father or mother who is in bad mood, when you use any little thing to Weapon a drama, and you fight with everyone. Cultivating virtue against Wrath is PATIENCE, go slowly mastering your character count to ten before exploding, not allowing screaming, and getting angry easily. Requests much from God to help you to be more patient and you'll make it. If you can not, he can.

7) SLOTH: Sloth is laziness that leads you to neglect your duties. You're lazy when you stop doing what you know you have to do because you feel lazy, because you're resting so rich, because you do later instead ... You should not be lazy !. Cultivating virtue against Sloth is hard work, it means to be working. Work with joy and love.

Remember that God said that he who does not work, does not eat, (I Thessalonians 3:10).

Los hábitos nos ayudan a construir un equilibrio emocional, que les proporciona un mecanismo importantísimo para su educación y para la construcción de su personalidad.

1-Horario regular: desde que nacen, los niños necesitan rutinas. Cuando son muy bebés las rutinas del sueño, del baño y de las comidas les ayudan a situarse en el tiempo y en el espacio, creando un ambiente seguro y previsible para el pequeño.

2-Dieta mediterránea: comer pescado, utilizar en la cocina el aceite de oliva y llenar nuestra mesa de productos de la huerta, son valores nutricionales que educan el paladar y cultivan la salud en familia.

3-El ejercicio físico y actividades al aire libre en familia, mejoran la salud y previenen enfermedades a largo plazo.

Si los niños se mueven y practican algúndeporte semanal, estamos estableciendo uno de los pilares básicos de la salud de su futura vida adulta.

4-Lavarse los dientes: nada más nacer los primeros dientes, este es un hábito imprescindible para evitar las caries y mantener una boca sana.

5-Lavarse las manos antes de comer: las manos son una de las vías de transmisión de enfermedades más importante, por lo que se debe enseñar al niño, desde pequeño, a lavárselas antes de comer.

6-Leer cada día: es necesario fomentar el hábito de la lectura a diario y desde bebés. Los primeros cuentos de imágenes fortalecen el vínculo padre/madre-hijo y estimulan su lenguaje. Habituarles al cuento antes de dormir, potencia el gusto por la lectura del niño y, cuando ya son capaces de leer solos, un ratito cada día favorece su rendimiento académico y su enriquecimiento personal 7-Limitar las pantallas: la televisión, la computadora, celulares, juegos de aparatos electrónicos, deben utilizarse durante una hora al día. El niño debe leer, jugar, pintar, salir al parque o practicar algún deporte.

No es bueno para su correcto desarrollo intelectual y físico permanecer horas y horas delante de una pantalla.

8-Jugar:los niños nunca más volverán a ser niños.

Su actividad más enriquecedora es el juego y no se les debe privar de ello. Mediante el juego aprenden, experimentan y se relacionan con otros niños o con el adulto. No podemos imponer una “agenda” estricta a un niño, ya que necesita tiempo libre para jugar y dejar volar la imaginación.

9-Desayuno completo: debería ser la comida más importante del día o, al menos, de las más importantes.

Es fundamental para obtener la energía necesaria para hacer frente a las actividades del día, tanto físicas como mentales.

10-Dormir las horas necesarias: los niños deben dormir según su edad, para despertarse frescos, contentos y descansados.

Por ultimo, hábitos necesarios, el ser ordenado y cuidadoso con las cosas, el respeto a los demás, el respeto por el medio ambiente, el uso del pañuelo y taparse la boca al toser, expresar lo que siente, gestionar las emociones y trabajar la tolerancia, fomentar el sentido de humor, beber agua, el baño diario.

La repetición de los actos cotidianos forman hábitos y la repetición de los hábitos forman virtudes.
