So, Autumn is really here, time for changing leaves, bundling up our campers and trailers for the winter, warmer jackets, long pants, flannel shirts, campfire at night, cookouts, Apple cider, hot donut, and warn drinks! And a good times to gather with “our” families and friends to enjoy the cool nights of the autumn season. “Sweetest Day” is on October 17th and day to show your special someone how much you care for them also good day to celebrate your union. Then “Halloween” on October 31st, is the night, where costume contests, are the theme of the evening as in the past, “hell” we’re all wearing mask anyway let’s see just how talented you can be, with your ideas and improvisations! Also, Election Day, November 3rd, with either your “Pity Party’s” or “Celebration Party’s” "I don’t really give a shit, I’m going to party!" Also on Wednesday, November 11th it’s our “Veterans Day” a day to say “Thank You” to the men and women who fight for our freedoms to party and celebrate! And then comes the most famous day of the year, the “Night before Thanksgiving” which is the biggest drinking night of the year! Then it’s Thanksgiving Day, time to spend with our families , extended families and friends! And give thanks for still being alive and healthy in this time of Covid-19! Then they’ll have their Halloween Weekend on Friday, October 9th – Sunday, October 11th. Friday from 8:00pm until 11:00pm it’s “Cider & Donuts” a great way to meet and know other members. Saturday, the 10th they have a “Bingo Extravaganza” at the Lodge at 7:00pm. Then at 8:00pm sharp everyone meets at the bridge for their “TRAIL OF TERROR” walk with a $50 award for the best team or groups “Scare Zone” also a $50 prize for the scariest camp sight. Saturday at Solitude from 9:30pm - 1:30am will be having a Halloween Costume party, with a $50 best costume winner at 12:00 midnight. Which brings them to the final “Members Seasonal Farewell Weekend” Friday, October 16th thru Sunday, October18th and this weekend is for members only! Friday starts with a bonfire party from 8:00pm – 11:00pm at the “PIT” bring your leftover booze bottles to share and concoct drinks for their liquor clearance time. On Saturday, at 3:00pm at the Lodge they’ll have “Members Seasonal Farewell Dinner” and from 8:00pm -11:00pm it’s a bonfire at the Pit and the last time to get rid of your leftover liquors. Which leads to the final day of the 2020 season and everyone needs to be off the property at 5pm. See you all in the 2021 season.
