Clearly cake A tutorial

June Stricker

Materials: • blue patterned transparency (such as About A Girl flocked transparency by Michelle Coleman, Fancy Pants Designs Inc.) • black flocked patterned paper (such as Black & White Collection by Me & My Big Ideas) • white cardstock • cake stamp (such as graphic dot cake by Savvy Stamps) • black ink • light-green ribbon • jewel-like embellishments • adhesive

Cut the transparency to 9 inches by 6 1/4 inches. Fold the card; a scoring blade works well for this.

Cut two pieces of white cardstock to 3 inches by 6 1/4 inches. Stamp the cake image in black on the bottom-left corner of one of the pieces.

Adhere the stamped cardstock to the card’s left edge. Cut a piece of the patterned, flocked paper to 1 1/4 inches by 6 1/4 inches; adhere to the white cardstock on its right edge.

Adhere the second piece of white cardstock to the inside of the card, aligning its left edge with the fold. Attach the jewel-like embellishments to the stamped image. Tie the ribbon vertically around the front of the card.
